    • Its amazing the adjustments he would make in the air on some of these dunks. Hangtime indeed. Which is why many other players...even the good dunkers of today have a hard time doing what VC did. A lot can happen if youre in the air long enough.

  • That last dunk on Mourning is gravity defying, if you look closely, Vince jump first, he was about a foot higher, floated in the air, waited for Mourning to start going down, then slammed it on top of his head, literally. What a beast.

  • I loved this era of basketball. Very late 90’s/early 2000’s was so exciting to watch. VC was my idol. I’d try to dunk like him on an 8.5foot hoop lol but never could quite do it like Vince. Him, AI, Pierce, Ray Allen, Dirk, Kobe and many, many more were so fun to watch. My Celtics used to break my heart annually back then 🤣.

  • Hes so humble, sounding like these things kinda magically happened to him. When in reality I dont want to even think of how many reps he must have done in a gym, how much hard work went into doing what he did. I just want to give props. I still have his jersey in my closet, that I bought when I was 12. (I'm from germany, back then those were not easy to get your hands on here in Europe). The impact these guys had on the world is just remarkable to look back at now.

    • He's so athletic that sometimes his dunks were the result of that athleticism & his creativity. You simply can't practice most of his in-game dunks seen here because you can't predict how the defender is going to react to you.

  • Just to put some context on the #8 dunk: Vince was initially left off of the 2000 Olympic roster in favor of Ray Allen of Milwaukee so naturally, he was upset. That windmill dunk was his way of showing up Allen. It all worked out for everyone because Vince was finally added to the Olympic team because I think someone got injured. And we all know what he did at the Olympics - he dunked over that French center like he was nothing 😂

  • In 1995 I went to “North Carolina Basketball School”. Dante Callabria was my coach. The thing I remember most was the current and alumni game they played on the last day. Vince was an incoming freshman and what he did to the rim in warm ups was unforgettable. I’ll be 42 in a few days and have seen a lot of good basketball, Vince was by far the most amazing display of jumping ability I’ve ever seen.

    • I think Pippen over Ewing is the greatest dunk ever because Pip did that against a real player. That frenchman was tall, but he was a amateur white player. Even for college american players, these guys looks like stationary poles. And that's what Vince did, jump over a obstacle, Vince jumped (literally) over a nobody.

  • I had the privilege to be 2 rows deep in a nets game. Vince just seemed so much faster than everybody, and when he dunked it was just different, like an explosion. The other then had to be hyper aware of where he was at all times. Great player. You can tell he loved the game.
