CR Media visited McGuigan's gym to film Luke Campbell on sparring day as he put in the final preparations ahead of his clash with Ryan Garcia. We gained exclusive sparring insights from trainer Shane McGuigan as he looks to get his fighter ready for this highly anticipated clash in Dallas. Also featured is prospect Dalton Smith (6-0-0) who has been basing himself in Kent to help Luke get ready for the fight
Sparring Dalton Smith is genius. That guy has brilliant shot selection so if he can repeatedly pick out the same shot, Luke's camp can determine what parts of their defence need focus.

You guys need to realize that he fought some of the best boxers. Yes, he lost but there is a thing called " You learn form your mistakes" Yes you can improve by tranning but when you lose a fight it hits differently. When Anthony joshua lost to Andy Ruiz he was so disappointed and then he worked so hard that Ruiz couldn't even touch him. That's called experience.

Luke is a very skilled opponent & if Ryan doesn't go in there wit 100% focus each round he could definitely lose but he's in great shape & seems more hungry then ever so I'm routing 4 him but we'll see

People talking about how he looks slow and drops his guard and stuff. For fucks sake people it’s sparring. Heavier gloves, helmet, and worse competition. He is literally just giving his partner a chance, and trying different things in the ring.

My money is on Luke! But let’s be honest Luke has been defeated by 2 talented boxers Loma and Linares and if Luke can’t beat Garcia he’s pretty much done ? If he looses no one is going to want to see him fight maybe in his country but definitely not in the US. Really hope he pulls it out.

Lukes footwork is so much better then Garcias, Ryan is good when he have time to sit on he's punches never throwing while moving, clash of styles, love it! Luke def can upset whole TikTok.
Campbell went 12 rounds with Loma yes he loss but this is gonna be a big challenge for Garcia, if Garcia gets him out before the 10th he becomes certified IMO as a top contender for sure, but I see it going the distance

The real statement would be outboxing him for 8-12 rounds with a late knockout or unanimous decision

Right here the key point is the Canelo team. The Canelo teams experience supersedes their experience. That is the winning factor

Both fighters have their advantages but I want Luke to win. I think Garcia is fast, powerful & accurate. They would be my 3 words for him but I think Luke is all 3 as well & carries the experience from his other opponents. Luke's fight against Loma was a lot closer fight than he got respect and points for. This is a step up fight for Garcia in my opinion and I wish Both fighters well. C'mon Luke!!

Luke has never ducked anyone and he was a well seasoned amateur who got tested. He’s got a great heart and he’s got the true warrior sprint. He’s a nice lad to. I want him to win

I noticed that too. Just from that one clip I can tell he has trained like that for years. Ryan has that snappy left hand that sleeps people and he’s twice as powerful as he was a year ago.

His sparring partner is Dalton Smith, he’s a weight class up but is a very highly rated boxer in the UK.
Speed means fuck all. Sure it's a great asset...but speed is negated with good timing and counter punching....especially when you're a one trick pony. Besides Ryan Garcia's speed is no Amir Khan speed. And Amir Khan was not a one trick pony. He was a hell of a boxer with immaculate footwork. Yet Khan speed meant nothing vs great counter punchers.

i think luke's got this ,he's a big underdog,bookies have luke campbell victory yielding 250% while garcia's yields 33% but its' a big mistake imo.. Luke will wear him down and finish him or largely outpointing him after the first few rounds,he just has to watch that counter left hook but he's longer than garcia so it will help him..

@@josesoto8294 Canelo is a world class fighter who's fought the best. Garcia is a largely untested prospect. Horrible comparison. Campbell is more like Canelo in this case in that he has far more experience against better opponents. Going the distance with Lomachenko, who was considered 1-5 top P4P by many, and having a close fight with Linares (I had Campbell winning honestly). Garcia is the untested one here. I see this as a 50-50 fight, dont know why Campbell is such an underdog. Same shit with Joyce-Dubios, couldn't believe Joyce was a 3-1 underdog. People need to stop buying into the hype too soon. I wouldn't be surprised if Garcia wins, he's fast, powerful, and talented, but dont get why people have this as an easy win for him.
I think Garcia is going to win this fight, however Luke always shows up to fight and has the skill set to upset Ryan. I can assure you Luke will not get on the bicycle

@@boxing6778 I saw the fight again. I know why it went to Linares. Campbell just had todo more of what he was doing. He was staying back TOO MUCH and not letting his hands go. Don’t know exactly why he stood back so much. He could’ve come forward more with more punches but didn’t and in the championship rounds he did NOT do enough. He kept staying back looking to measure and wait to counter more than doing the leading and getting ahead. It honestly didn’t even feel like it was a draw but because of how much Campbell didn’t do. You can say it was Campbell that let it get away and stay away. Linares fought like the one that was really more comfortably in control for the whole fight. If Campbell fights Garcia the way he fought Linares he is going to LOSE and watch out because he could get stopped. I really do not like seeing that in fighters. They have more in the tank but they just don’t let it all go. He has to let it ALL go for real if he’s going to beat Garcia. Campbell hit Linares with good combinations but he kept stepping back rather than continuing to build on his combinations and with Linares consistent persistence, he did not win that fight Iike he should have. I think he has the stuff but he has to utilize it all. He thinks too much, he has to continue popping the jab. If there’s one thing he has todo is look to be more like GGG and KEEP POPPING THE JAB no matter what. In round 1 GGG finds your head with his jab regardless who you are; he doesn’t shoot to touch your glove, right away he shoots to touch your head. The first thing GGG makes sure todo before anything in all his fights is establish his jab and he always does; that’s why to me he has yet to really lose. Campbell has to come prepared to constantly let his hands go but he has to come determined to break Garcia’s body down. He has to out box Garcia and go to the body and not look to try and knock him out.
