I used to be wowed by NatGeo and Discovery Engineering shows AND The B1M has just filled that spot of leaving me gobsmacked and hungry for more information about construction. THANK YOU for creating this awesome informative channel 🙌🏾
Now someone could fill the gap who find historical architecture exciting and modern one disappointing.
You're SO welcome! Thanks so much for such great feedback! We love our viewers and know that we'd be nothing without you guys 👍❤️
haha this is so true, discovery and natgeo have been nothing the last few years
@vusani mlilo that's because NatGeo and Discovery have become corporation and together with that hypocrite and Politically Correct. And yes, the B1M is Awesome!
Same goes for me..😅
"Whilst their built structures may be solid, few cities ever stand still". Damn thats a tasty quote
Covid-19: "Hold my RNA"
I love the way this project integrates new and old. A great model for other developers in cities across the world.
I can't think of many cities in the world which have such variety of architecture like London. To me, London is the only place where new flawlessly mixes with old.
Diego Perez NYC?
@@ThecrazyJH96 NYC is also good but it doesn't have so much variety, as it's a newer city than London.
The U.K. leads the way in so many things it’s just amazing! It’s especially amazing since people have lived there for more than 2,000 years
@@ThecrazyJH96 London has more variety. NYC is more clean and new not many old buildings
London is the probably the best place in the world to apply BIM technology, so many new and existing amazing projects in the city.
Proof that interesting and complex projects don't have to be huge high rise buildings. I love skyscrapers but this is a fantastic project at a really human scale integrated into the fabric of the city around it. What a great project.
Exactly, look at New York, it has lots of skyscrapers but it is really only concrete blocks
Although some of the modern building in the city look cool, I like the architectural style of 19th century London the best.
I think some of the older buildings are beautiful. These new buildings are all made from steel and glass and although different shapes and sizes have no "characters " like the older ones. The new ones can be nice but there not for me.
“The Crossrail station is 15 stories below ground. Geoff Marshall: “Every tube station is 15 stories below ground!”
I thought I'd see you here Geoff. :) Delayed again I see. Have you guys thought of doing one of these videos ON Crossrail?
Fair :). The point I was 'trying' to make was there was a significant development under ours.
wait what the fuck the developers are here as well
Really glad they're keeping the exterior facade.
The B1M is the best of you tube
I think London has a big future and much potential on projects like this. It is a pretty good project. Apart from this good video keep up this great work!
Herr Maier So right bro!
Herr Maier I like your kind of explaining all this
I'd like to post a comment too but I don't have a loisense to do so.
Agree with you Herr!
Macro Cosmos Microscopy But how are you able to react to a comment?
Even if you are not in the construction industry, it is important to realize that behind most of what we experience as daily life, is a huge amount of hidden complexity.
@Defectiveresistor If 300 000 is shord period of time for you than yes. Sorry but people achieved nothing considering whole history. Most of the history they were too busy to kill someone.
@Defectiveresistor Most of history Empires emerged waged wars then fell only for new ones to emerge and continue the cycle of colonialisation and killing millions.
London is a amazing city because seeks combination of old with new. Love the architecture of this city 👍🏻
I've been walking past this project for 3 years and it is starting to take shape!
the Chinese will finish this work in 6 months and cheaper
It's videos like these that definitely give the general public the ability to see the brains and hard work that goes into creating such phenomenal masterpieces of living art in cities we unknowingly interact with on a daily basis. It helps you appreciate the effort that it takes to complete such massively complex projects. Have to thank B1M for helping people, not of this industry, see the wonderful artworks in the making. Kudos to B1M.👍👏
The B1M is the cream of the crop on KZhead
When The B1M post a video you know you're going to have a good time! Again great content!

London just amazes me, it doesn't need skyscrapers
It really is beautiful isn't it?
its got loads of sky scrapers. they are just spread out, and literally dozens are planned^
London’s perfect the way it is
It's a very complex and amazing city.
I cannot understate how much I love this damn channel!
The content and quality of this channel has made me a B1M brand loyalist!
One positive thing I can say about Charles is his push for retaining historic building façades while constructing new buildings behind.
YES ! LOVE LONDON ! Thanks
An extremely unique project here for London. Hope they do more of this type of project in the future.
Another great addition. Thanks for sharing. 🏗👷♂️👷♀️🏙🇬🇧
Could you do a case study on the Mumbai coastal road project and the metro. Their positives and negatives. Because it’s actually a really interesting project to study as a case study.
YES
What to say! Up to your already high standard, another great video. Keep up the education aspect of these informative clips, as I think you will really make a difference.
Quality content B1M. I enjoy alot watching your videos
This channel deserve more than 870k subs!!!
Last time I was this early, The World Islands seemed like a good idea.
The world islands will likely all be filled up in 10 years. They were just early but won't be left empty. There is a lot of construction going on there right now.
I see what you did there
@@RichardLaRuina where is the world island???

So professionally done 👍👍👍👍👍 fantastic video, B1M team. Amazing
I would love to see this once this project is complete. I enjoyed this video and like this channel loads.
Full of information. Love your videos.
Amazing content and visuals! 😍

@@paxundpeace9970 oh thanks for reminding me that i have a comment with about 50 likes on the B1M
@@mr._baum153 You are welcome.
Yet another superb presentation Fred. If I may at 7:45 engineers are talking about the incredible intricacies getting this out of the ground. We need to see exactly that on these projects, a visual narration of the building evolving from the ground up, how its engineered and built if at all possible!
VERY ENJOYABLE CHANNEL , THANK YOU
Exceptionally well assembled video. Well done!
Thank you so much - and thanks for watching!! 👍
Could you do a video on the most notable buildings destroyed in WWI & WWII which were never rebuilt, explain why and what we've lost from that? Can't find any good information online.
Me too should learn from the german
Remarkable what technology can accomplish. Transportation spawns new businesses so I am thrilled to see this type of coordination.
Remember when the Cross-Purp-Lizeth Line (Purple Train) was supposed to open By December 2018? So does Pepperidge Farms...
What a cool and complex project, I’ll have to check it out the next time I’m in London. Thank you, B1M for another great video, your channel continues to impress.
Everytime the B1M comes on KZhead-we get to learn new ideas for the built environment-in the past project engineers would have to physically visit the site to assess the progress and do corrections as seen but now with the advent of CAD/CAE and real time simulations the hazards have been mitigated and complex projects like shown can be handled and help the lead times-the beauty of it they can be customised to meet the client's criteria or intents-keep the show going.
This is very similar to the Martin Place development in Sydney. An existing underground railway station with a pedestrian mall and shopping precinct on top of it, a completely new Metro line is being bored through with a new skyscraper/shopping mall being constructed on top. Martin Place Station will be extended to accommodate a new train system. This is part of the new Metro system being rolled out across Sydney. The tunnel will go under Sydney Harbour and under the city centre north to south with new stations and linking up with existing railway station such as Martin Place and Central Station. It's all very exciting and fascination engineering.
at what cost? and who will use it?
Thanks for the video!! :)
love your videos man
Thank you! ✊
Love these videos.
We love our viewers!!
That is so next level exciting that it is difficult to overstate.
It was so cool to go around this site on my work experience. Really showed me how complex projects like this can be
Great video! Please make a video about the construction projects in Miami! So many projects in the works!
Very interesting and well presented. Thanks from Orlando
Thanks so much! You’re welcome 😉
Excellent, very high quality video.
Thank you so much!! 👍
I love you England and I love you London 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
London is an amazing city, probably my favourite city in the world! Thank you B1M for this gift! 🤗
Agreed ✊
I find these videos on BIM software just as interesting as the other videos you put out. I hope to see more of these in the future :)
Great video and an awesome realisation!
THE B1M IS MY GUILTY PLEASURE
Great project but the seamless integration with advertising is amazing.
Please do a video about airport construction, such as how Frankfurt Airport has been changing and expanding over the years. Thanks! Love your videos!
how about berlin airport?
Yo guys are awesome!
thank you
B1M your videos are always elegantly made and the narrator's voice is so relaxing ❤. Are you planning on doing a video about the Grand Paris Express project? I would love to see your way of treating the subject.
Would absolutely love to see a video on that
Wish I could work with a team like that
The impact of the innovative new technologies is shaping our world
London is the most fascinating city in the world
0:12 Flat Earthers Unsubscribed B1M
😂😂😂
I don't get why you said that since they didn't show anything linked to a "flat Earth"
@@casey9559 I think he was talking about the curvature created by the camera at 0:12
Hahahaaa dont worry its just the camera that makes it look like a small globe, i promise u flatearthwrs the globe is too big for yall to see the curvature.
@The Life of Tony Same I don't get it
Would love to see more videos on UK projects outside of London.
I used to work in project management and believe me, hundreds of problems arise from conflicts between trades and these would take weeks to be resloved, causing significant delays. If only we had BIM, we wouldn't have been dealing with all of those.
The definitive channel for construction software advertising
incredible video
Thanks!!
Super interesting (and I’m not an engineer) but I do think Crossrail is the greatest and most complex project ever
Whoever writes the scripts for B1M is a genius.
Could you look into the Bristol harbour project and the redevelopment taking place there ?
You are the greatest channel to ever exist
We all need to start embracing BIM. The construction industry needs it
Can you make a video on Cresent Bay?
wow paris have something to learn
I am old enough to remember when I was supposed to be riding Crossrail.
We need longer shows now! 50 minutes for in depth!
Great video!! But projects like this don't come close in complexity to other past London projects, specifically Canary Wharf.
Beautiful reflection on that building by 9:16 why does it reflect. And thanks for the video
I missed a lot of uploads because of holidays and the post-Christmas catch up, but I'm having a great time binging on the videos I've missed.
Haha, enjoy!
I have walked past this site several times, but never realised how complex the work is
Awesome!!
You should make a video about Bilbao City in the Basque Country
great video as usual
I used to live in a bedist and the sound of the tube all the way through Brixton's was deafening I wonder how they are blocking out sound for the lower apartments
I have a question. Was the computer software used on an IOS or PC?
The method that they used including BIM feels really similar to how a lot of big software projects are carried out. Especially in the level of democratized information sharing / collaboration as well the software itself. (It reminds me a lot of Jira with integrations to every bit of information.)
can you do a video about the hellinikon project please? it was confirmed yesterday!!?
This is really cool unlike the clusterdump in Jakarta
once again an amazing video, keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!! We will 👍
Clash detecting be a nightmare on this project
Those cities featured in your biggest cities by 2100 are gonna have their challenges set out for them. Like... probably having so many subway lines and above rail lines that would make Beijing look like San Diego and having 18 lane highways or something.
The pilings? Was that sector of the station's region identified for vibration issues . . . ergo, 1st to enjoy upgrade? Sure like this KZhead channel.
Do a video on The project of revamping New Delhi 's Central Vista
Anyone knows any algorithms or any other ways to calculate the complexity of the projects for BIM estimations? anything that would help me regarding this! please
😳 Astounding! Simply. Astounding... 😳
Isn’t 15 stories deep in London way below the water table ? Does that require pumping 24/7/365 like some mines ?
Will you ever make a video on the Grand Paris Express ? It's Europe's largest infrastructure project.
Surprised they haven't yet. Although HS2 would be miles bigger depending on whether it goes through or not (it probably will happen)
It's mentioned in a few of our videos, but a dedicated feature is on the cards.
