  • I’ve aquired a homemade cabinet with a carburetor business. He ran a 200l 7.5hp compressor but in AU I couldn’t get 3 phase and in hindsight should have just used vfd to convert single 220 to three phase 440. Love your work. Will be ordering soon. Just need to find a compressor that I can run single phase, even step to 15amp (I’m from Indiana and moved to Melbourne area they use 50hz here)

  • Love your videos! I have a 4 hp 12.7 CFM compressor and can run 100% duty cycle. Will the 5 hp gun be the wrong choice and must go with the 3 hp gun? Will you be releasing a 4HP gun?

    @Good-luck-Jonathan@Good-luck-Jonathan6 ай бұрын
    • Go with a 3hp. Run it at 65-70 psi and you will be at 13cfm.

  • Just wondering if in the process of doing CFD models for these guns you came up with a model for air jet to nozzle distance calculation. Every video i see on youtube basically says try it till you like it... Just wondering if there are more scientifically sound approaches???

    @ghffrsfygdhfjkjiysdz@ghffrsfygdhfjkjiysdz2 ай бұрын
    • Yes I experimented with distances. For wet blasting doesn't matter a whole lot. For dry blasting it changes the vacuum signal. However, I recommend dry blasting with a metering valve over a siphon tube since you can get better performance and adjustability.

  • I have a 26 gallon compressor that’s rated at 4.5 cfm at 90psi (1.8hp) Will the 3hp gun work, just slower? I’m just removing machining marks before anodizing. I have the HF blast cabinet now and have just been using the stock gun that comes with it. Wet blasting with glass bead

    @timwolf6885@timwolf6885 Жыл бұрын
    • Yes it will work however you will have to wait for compressor to catch up. You are likely already doing that. Watch this video on sizing and provide me your current air jet size: kzhead.info/sun/ldCLf7KijqOslYU/bejne.html

  • How does the Tacoma Company gun compare to your new blast gun?

    @kevinleary350@kevinleary3502 жыл бұрын
    • Very comparable if not better. HTMR gun nozzle nut does not seize though, offers more corrosion protection, and has a larger media hose hookup for more flow. Nozzles are half the cost and I have more sizes available in stock now.

  • I bought your blast gun. I recommend it. Do you have any suggestions for additives to the water to prevent flash rust and bacteria? Vapor Honing tTechnologies sells these items but they are pricey. Like to find a DIY solution.

    @AudieChason@AudieChason5 ай бұрын
    • Flash rust: howtomotorcyclerepair.com/preventflashrust/ For bacteria etc....look into pool chlorine. I bought a little bag for $3.

      @HTMR@HTMR5 ай бұрын
    • Thanks for the quick reply. I did dump some Clorox in the water when I ran out of Vapor Honing's product. I am aware of HoldTight 102, but I live in Hawaii and neither Amazon or the only vendor on eBay selling it ships it here. Unfortunately, they only sell it in gallons or greater. It's a chronic problem.@@HTMR

  • Do you have any plans on making a gun for the hobbies who only has a 2hp 120V compressor? Understanding that I will not be able to blast continuously. I just can't justifying buying a larger compressor when I will only blast a few parts a month.

    @martintelford8763@martintelford87638 ай бұрын
    • Not worth blasting with a gun that consumes 6cfm. Too slow. Buy the 3hp version and just take breaks.

  • I have your gun. I recommend it. Can, I make a suggestion? Offer it with an articulating arm to hold it in place so you can move the part instead of the gun. Hanging onto the gun becomes a real chore (not the gun's fault). I will create something. I recently looked at a few commercial blast cabinets and saw several are now offering a stationary gun holder.

  • Has anyone compared this to Victor Bared or Armoury Enterprises 3D Printed Gun? I know its twice as fast as they ebay/chinese gun but wondering how much improvement on the 3D guns? at $375 CAD by the time I get it to Canada its about 1/3 the cost of my entire cabinet setup. My setup works well now however I do feel it could be improved speed wise, but if I only get marginal improvment from a $375 investment ill be chapped haha!

    @kyushalimit5931@kyushalimit59314 ай бұрын
    • I've had people buy my gun after those 3D printed guns broke. If you have a 3d printer, you can just keep printing them no problem. However I would not pay close to $100 for a 3d printed gun and later have it break. Also, you can't use aluminum oxide since the plastic will wear out quickly.

      @HTMR@HTMR4 ай бұрын
    • @@HTMR thanks, I do have a printer and they cost nothing to print for me (not that I want to keep reprinting guns) but I am more wondering on the efficiency of each, I assume your gun performs so well because the length of the airjet and nozzle, would that be correct? The airjet and nozzle on the 3D guns are much shorter.
