Pride & Prejudice (15th Anniversary) | Elizabeth Meets Mr. Darcy for the First Time

2020 ж. 10 Қар.
1 301 043 Рет қаралды

One of the greatest love stories of all time, Pride & Prejudice, comes to the screen in a glorious new adaptation starring Keira Knightley. When Elizabeth Bennett (Knightley) meets the handsome Mr. Darcy (Matthew MacFadyen), she believes he is the last man on earth she could ever marry. But as their lives become intertwined in an unexpected adventure, she finds herself captivated by the very person she swore to loathe for all eternity. Based on the beloved masterpiece by Jane Austen, it is the classic tale of love and misunderstanding that sparkles with romance, wit and emotional force. Critics are calling it "Exhilarating. A joy from start to finish" (Carina Chocano, Los Angeles Times).

  • The way Darcy does a double take and his reaction walking away is just so good. It’s the most subtle facial expression yet you can feel all the emotions he’s feeling and how taken back he is of Elizabeth. Matthew did a wonderful job playing him

    • Yes! excellent!!! So many people say he didn’t notice her at first. But in this version- he definitely does. Like you said- very subtle. But there just the same. Matthew is incredible 💞as Darcy. Did you notice when she asked about dancing and he answered and she walked away- you can see the disappointment in himself in his face…. You can feel the awkwardness in him.

There was none more romantic than seeing Matthew Macfadyen walking through the morning fog as Dario Marianelli’s beautiful score crescendoed with the rising sun behind him. К тому же по книге Джейн Остин дальнейшая жизнь героев не показана подробно, поэтому историю придется придумывать. А как экранизируется придуманные истории мы увидели в 8 сезоне Игры престолов
