I Built 100 LEGO Buildings, including Modular Buildings, LEGO Minecraft, LEGO Friends, LEGO City, LEGO Disney, LEGO Ideas, LEGO Icons, LEGO Dreamzzz, LEGO Ninjago, LEGO Winter Village and LEGO Architecture sets. I build my dream LEGO display, combine 10 skyscrapers into a GIANT SKYSCRAPER, and build the Singapore LEGO set IN Singapore itself, inside the Marina Bay Sands hotel.
LEGO Mini Golf Course - • Working Lego Mini Golf... Thanks LEGOParadise!
Can you spot the blinking minifigure (AND animal!)?!?!

I can't
hello
Yessss
Yep 4:35
I genuinely really appreciate the field notes, I love the behind the scenes info it's so interesting
Yes! I wish they were longer though
@@OliviaPaquette-ct1ruyeah they should be at least a second longer I never pause them in time or the app thinks I’m skipping ahead by 10s if I do it too quickly
Omg I was just going to say this
Here's the field notes written out: ● There are 4,608 frames of stop-motion in this video ●I now have all but the three oldest modulars - unfortunately they now cost £7-8k between them, so these 16 will probably be it for me, I can't complain ●To film the "Lego-magically-building-itself" shots, I have to first build the set off-camera, then take it apart a few bricks at a time and reverse the footage. So any sets that have been filmed in this way...are now destroyed, and being used for pieces ● I originally filmed Singapore to be part of the Lego travel series, but there wasn't enough footage so it seemed like the perfect ending to this instead ● Maisie still hasn't met Ralph and Bella - we're taking our time to ensure they're introduced responsibly. Don't worry, there'll be a video ● Who wants another Half-Asleep Chris video in 4 days?!
Question: why does Chris have to build the sets first and then take them apart brick by brick? Why can't he just build the set brick by brick? Because it'll take a lot longer?
9:56 OMG YOU WENT BACK THERE! THE MARINA BAY SANDS VIDEO WAS MY FAVOURITE VIDEO YOU EVER POSTED AND I LOVE THE TRAVEL JOURNAL
Fun fact the 3 in 1 Lego set that you built at the end was given to schoolchildren to commemorate the nation turning 50! I remember receiving one as a freebie in school back then :)
As a frequent railway traveller, I think I may be able to explain why those train stations only came with a bus
lol
In Germany our trains are rather late these days. The bus might be the better option sometimes 😂
Hahahaha I felt that 😂😂😅😅
i want to know please
I want to know too!
We're often told we build a lot of Lego, but building 100 buildings means you've probably leap frogged us now! How long did you take to build all 100?
Haha, it was all built slowly over 2-3 months. I'm very lucky in that if I find I'm procrastinating a lot by building loads of LEGO, I can make that into a video, and the procrastination becomes productive
@@HalfAsleepChris ah well 2-3 months is a perfectly acceptable time frame. Glad you're not having to speed build through some of these epic sets and you actually get to enjoy them!

Chris is just monetising his Lego addiction
I love how you show appreciation for every set, even if its from a franchise you arent familiar with. Also, for the first time ever, i can say "hey! I have that set!" The Sanctum Sanctorum is wonderfully detailed, and yes, does indeed include a ton of easter eggs to the Doctor Strange franchise!
If you like detailed interiors, you're not missing anything by skipping the first three Modulars. Cafe Corner and Market Street have no interiors at all. The Greengrocer has a nice first floor, but the rest is mostly empty. There's a clever grandfather clock, radiator, and barbecue, but they're in big empty spaces.
How fun to see you back in Singapore building lego after your travels videos! Seems like an upgraded room this time :D
I don't think he finished the travel journey series, he posted the road tour just as he was on the brink of lockdown in turn, Lego videos came so there were (i think) 6 videos still to put in the series. But hey, this counts as on of life's great mysteries, what happened that was better than whale watching?!
Wouldn't have expected Chris to show up here in Singapore
The haunted mansion sets are both very impressive, both the massive scale 2nd empire tower, and the miniature. Two types of things I've always wanted from Lego.
These videos are always so chaotic. Never change! 😂

Very correct
Chris just has an unexplainable calmness to his videos, that just make me wanna sleep. Love your vids!
thats why hes called half asleep, he makes u half asleep
@Miltman69, that's true. I find that there's a positive vibe to his videos as well. I don't know how he pulls it off.
Legend says that to this day Chris is still stepping on pieces of the Lego skyscraper
Chris wanting to knock the buildings over - he’s turning into a cat! 😂
Chris, you are a master at pacing. The stop motion builds and Scrabble text are quite engaging, and of course the overall video and sound editing is brilliant. I hope you were more than half asleep after all of the post production work, you earned at least that much!
Thanks a lot!
@@HalfAsleepChris i am addicted to Lego buildings
@@HalfAsleepChris I love your videos so so so so so so so so so much!!!!!!!!!
Dude is gonna rebuild his own house out of lego at this point EDIT: I KNEW IT I FUCKIN KNEW IT
That'd be cool! :D

DUDE YOU CALLED IT!! :O :D
Yopey
This is the GOOD side of KZhead 😂
its mindblowing how much time, effort, and money went into making this video🤯
Glad you enjoying being in Singapore Chris! As a Singaporean, its nice to see you build our landmarks. Also fun fact, when it was SG50 (2015), many primary school kids (me included) got the last set for free and we were told strictly that we were not allowed to sell it if my memory serves me right. The cavenagh bridge was one of my favourits to build
Yes, and it was originally said to be exclusive only for students back then, but now its available at lego stores across the country
darn my school lended it to us for national day
Only in Ohio skibidi 🤪😇
Field notes: Who wants another half asleep Chris video in four days, I do!
Brotha's bank account is bleeding more than his fingers right now.
You should make a whole lego city with all of those buildings!
I love how Chris does everything he says “I want to knock everything over” *crashes down*
Chris genuinely deserves to be sponsored by lego to make some crazy builds!
I think he has been a few times
He has@@Chaotic_evil_duck
you're incredible Chris !! I really love your videos and all the love and skill that go into them
The lgihthouse actually looks amazing, along with the A frame house they could make a nice forest-coast resort.
From cats to lego half asleep chris is one of the best lego youtubers! Also i love when he casually goes “so I bought 10 of them”
I think this one is helping me understand my sons better... every day I wonder how the legos end up exploded all over the place (kids my age didn't do this--we built in a neat pile like good little children)... perhaps my boys just built a tower too high and had to knock it over by throwing other legos at it! That makes more sense than anything I've imagined thus far 😅
lol yea
2:05 chris, no one knows what's going on here, it's remained a mystery in the minecraft community what the hell is up with the minecraft sets XD
Daniel: Chris why is there Lego on the stairs? Chris:I- I dont know how to explain this
0:04 Chris is a cat confirmed
1:37 the top shelf is bending
Chris! I remember the first time you and Danielle (I hope I wrote it correctly) visited Singapore and were careful with finances. But look at you now, booking one of the best rooms in my opinion and enjoying Singapore knowing you came back as a result of hard work. Prompts to you man, cheers!
Keep up the amazing content Chris!! Did have a 7 year old who was deeply offended that you didn't know what the sanctum santoroum was 😂😂... It was top of Christmas list but sadly I don't think Santa has the budget 😮
Past Chris: Saving money for a 1 day trip in Singapore for a whole video. Present Chris: Casually going to Singapore for a few minutes of a video. This really shows how much he has improved. Love your video’s B.T.W. :) Who agrees 👇
Moi 😂
Chris single-handedly holds up the entire Lego empire.
Honestly. I'm now off to check what that lighthouse would cost. For my son, you understand. Nothing is too expensive if it's for him. 😬
(hey, I'm back, and it's 300€...)
Bro is living everyone's dreams right now.
STOP EVERYTHING. Chris get the banana.
Hi Chris! Thank you so much for posting this video! All the effort you put in just to make us viewers happy is truly amazing. In the meantime I watched some of your old videos over and over again and I can't say I'm getting tired of this. 😄 I have some of the buildings you showed myself. Especially the office set, which I also think is particularly great. Lots of greetings and happy Christmas. Freakfactory
It's so nice to have found a KZheadr who also likes frogs! I've owned 3 frogs and they've all been great, unfortunately my first frog died to ants in the middle of the night but my new frogs are fully aquatic and are doing great! Keep loving frogs they're truly great animals!
Wow, 3 frogs? that is crazy:0
Sorry for your loss btw:(
I remember your Singapore travel video, and how you talked about it being such a dream holiday. Now you go there just to build Lego. Congratulations on your success. 🙂 Hope Danielle was able to come along this time, too.
More frogs. “Does it come w/ a lego frog?”😊
Wow I just got hit with a wave of nostalgia for the SG50 mini lego sets, in primary school we each got a set and i distinctly remember taking it apart and rebuilding the different configurations. Damn getting Lego for free during a school day was pretty metal.
2:40 when you can see the finger in the stop animation really shows that he does this all manually
The Lego Buildings Alltogether look fire 🔥
Can you Build a Lego Train in Underwater City?
Chris puts so much energy into these videos, it’s amazing!
Wow, that was such an amazing video to watch. Incredible, how much work and time you put in as described in the field notes. Thank you. And yes, I would love to see a Half-Asleep Chris video in four days. 😃
I think the last one was too much to ask
@@user-ey2om4qb9eCheck the field notes 😉
I collect mostly Lego mechs, but as a former architecture student I’d really like to get into collecting buildings as well. And then here’s Chris flexing his collection of every Lego building made in the last few years. Can’t say I’m not jealous 🤣
That's a great way to expense your holiday as a work expense. (That's what you did, right?) Good job! On a side note: there are tons of manuals that have been digitized, so if you only care about building/displaying those three old modular sets versus having the boxes, you can most likely just order all the loose components using the manifest in those booklets, and build them that way. Usually it won't be a cheap solution, but given how much these sets cost, it is probably a steal. The only issue would be rare or outright set-specific pieces, since those would probably be immensely expensive in their own right.
My favorite Lego theme was probably Elves. It's too bad they discontinued it because they were really really fun. Not to mention some of the colors are hard to find elsewhere. It was a wonderful theme for the short time I was into it. Like a combinantion of Dreamz and Friends.
When you finish building a LEGO set but you are missing the final piece 3:33
OMG! I was a fan when you started travelling and I remember your trip to the marina bay sands video. Great reference to your past vids!
Build in the bag, build in the bag, build in the Lego set inside the bag.
Incredibly entertaining and you can definitely feel the amount of work that went into it!
I love Lego architecture, but the last few sets were too expensive, or too big for the space I have. I did endeavor to copy someone’s attempt at a Lego Space Needle, it’s not perfect, and it took me a while to figure out some bricks I’d never seen before (turns out they are Ninjago weapon holders, basically 3 sided plates with three sideways studs on the corners. It’s how the narrowest part of the “legs” are built.) I do wish they had the alternate/original colors for the top as the original paint job was very colorful (for the anniversary year I was visiting they repainted the “Astronaut Orange” on the roof.)
It genuinely makes me so happy knowing even if you don't know the monkie kid show you still have some of the sets. The lantern city is my favorite just because that's where nezha mostly appears.
Hey Chris ! Love your content as always!
Nice video as always. How many brown pieces / dark reds broke on you, especially for the older modulars? I'm surprised you got the Town Hall for a somewhat reasonable price to include it in the video (as well as the others).
No browns, but a fair few dark reds, all 1x1 square tiles on the fire station, it was very frustrating!
@@HalfAsleepChris Yes same here - I built the Fire Brigade recently and got a few cracked 1x1s diagonally. You got really lucky on the browns though!
Glad to see you enjoyed your trip to Singapore, and DAMM, that view of Garden by the Bay

WOW. That is a lot of lego. I love your videos so much and its great to see another British lego KZheadr! Keep up the good work!
Singaporean here. I hoped you enjoyed your trip here! Now because of your video I know the Lego exclusives of my own city - which is amazing to find out. I hope you had an enjoyable time visiting each place in the lego sets too! (like before this, I didn't even know they made one of our iconic hawker centers (lau pa sat) into a lego set.
İ love rhe amount of effort you put into making such amazing videos. İ also love how you are taking time to make sure the cats and Malsie are introduced properly as you did when introducing both cats. İ constantly see people not taking time and doing proper research when introducing/getting new animals and appreciate seeing this kind of stuff from few people.
Chris in 5 years: This is 1,000,000 Lego sets
As a singaporean i really love watching this video, wish i could see you one day! (Btw the last set was given to me from my primary school for FREE!🤯)

Bro did Ninjago dirty 💀💀💀
am i too late?
Yes
congrats on being first mate
Tell me you have OCD without telling me you havw ocd. Honestly im very jelouse because im sure atleast 25% of all kids wanted to build a room of nothing but legos . Quickly realizing its too pricey and parent arent usually down.
Bella looked so cute when she ran up to the Ninjago set
I've always been confused by the Lego Minecraft builds. They seem to think we build houses shaped like animals and plants a lot. I just want my oak house on stilts, or my cave house, or my log spruce cabin, or my Tudor terracotta house. Or at least enough minecraft blocks that we could build our own.
Amazing video as always! And the Singapore part was a cherry on top! 👏👏👏
I'm glad you got some minecraft lego sets
3:25 Now it's the leaning tower of pisa
Love the video ❤ also I can’t believe how long this would of taken as it took me a week to make the home alone set 😂
6:46 some of the Lego flower sets have plant-based plastics for the Legos themselves, if you’re interested. Even if it’s not your style, I encourage you to buy them vote with your wallet.
These videos are always so chaotic. Never change! . Chris truly deserves Lego sponsorship so he can create some insane constructions!.
4:35 the mini figure and the animal blinked
I so happy you built some buildings and landmarks of Singapore!
Singapore is so beautiful and i love the Lego sets with mechanisms especially the working carousel drop ride and lighthouse
Nice job Chris. I could never be dedicated enough to build lego for 2-3 months XD but you’re vids are super entertaining and I’m happy you exist lol
