The Most Underrated Call of Duty
I always thought Call of Duty: World at War was the best Call of Duty so after getting my wisdom teeth pulled out I decided to replay it to distract me from my pain lol. Replaying World at War reminded me how great it really is so I decided to take the time to make a video essay discussing the things I loved about it and also talk about World at Wars flaws(there wasn't many). Old school cods are so good how did we go from this masterpiece to having Nicki Minaj and Snoop Dog running around. Oh well at least we will always have this great game to go back and play...Fighting with Reznov again, shooting some zombies and pub stomping in multiplayer was awesome. I feel like I need to clarify this. Me saying it's the most underrated cod is 100% just my subjective opinion. Not fact.

many games (include call of duty's) make you associate with heroes: great, brave and heroic. But WaW don't want it. It shows real side of veterans: scared, died inside and feared for centuries. In Russia, people who survived german occupation and war didn't liked saying something about war.
One of my favorite things about this game is how it showed the Pacific Theater. It’s too bad that barely any WW2 games delve into that side of the war. I also love how it shows the brutality of war, and how by the end of it both sides are drenched with blood and committed all kinds of horrific atrocities. Zombie mode is by far one of the BEST things WoW gave CoD. That mode gave me who knows how many hours of enjoyment. Too bad it’s gone downhill. It’s also too bad that Ghost’s Zombies equivalent never went anywhere. If it did I’m sure Zombies could’ve maintained its identity, and Extinction could’ve grown into its own thing that exists alongside Zombies.

great video, WaW is truly a gem, in a world where majority of people say zombies peaked with BO3 I like to hear there is someone else who considers BO1 zombies to be the best :)
Thanks for the support! Bo3 is great but the gobblegum and stuff like that just started to take away the simplicity of it all. Der eisendrache was the only map I thought was good(besides the waw and bo1 remasters)

this was my second cod. The campaign and multiplayer maps were astonishing. Then zombies being born. 10/10 game And vid too👍

The missions I will never forget is (Little resistance) (Burn' em out) (Vendetta) (Reichstag) Srg roebuck unempathetic tone in his voice set the mood for what hadd to be done. The amphibious landing made my jaw drop The fountain with reznov gave me nightmares And the final mission shows sheer unrelenting brutality all the way to the end of the mission God I love WAW
I didn’t mention burn em out but it was so good. Honestly every mission in the game is amazing
My favorite was BO1, but WAW was my introduction to COD and it was awesome 👏

Great video man very well put together, had a nice trip down memory lane with some of the small details you included. For me WAW was the best COD they ever made. whether you agree with that or not everyone can agree this was one hell of a fun game, back then and still now if there wasn’t so many hackers. It’s not just COD it’s the way the whole industry has gone, the whole world in fact. Profit and money is more important than making a good or fun product anymore. I’m happy I lived through and experienced what I’d call the golden age for COD. The amount of hours I spent on this game grinding and grinding for prestige after prestige, those were the days man. Great vid again man! Ps prestige 9 emblem was definitely the best (IMO) and choosing not go any further even tho you got level 65 was definitely a statement of how truly cool you were lol

Stayed up for many hours playing this after my kids went to sleep to try to get better than them it didn't work. They were always better but had a great time trying. By far the best game for the nostalgic reasons and the simplicity it was.. I mean is.

World at war is by far my favorite and I sincerely believe it is the best campaign cod has ever put out. They handled action the best, as opposed every other campaign. They handled the actual events with as much respect as possible. Theres no slow motion moments with saving your friends life, if it is slow motion it’s because you are actually shellshocked. When a main character dies, the rest of the squad just go on and fights the war, they don’t go on and kill 300 more people screaming their name for vengeance. They didn’t make it like an avengers movie unlike everything else, the action is actually believable. I really wish call of duty would have just looked at this style.

Everyone knows "No Russian" is the best Call of Duty mission.
" Underrated " - I think this is quite literally one of the most quoted ones because of characters like Woods and Reznov. I still find people discovering WaW and Black Ops 1, or BO2 and being like " Wow. CoD used to be this good!? "
No way WaW is underrated, any sensible person would definitely consider it a top 10 CoD of all time. Some people would even have it in their top 5 since it is the game that started zombies. Only reason why I wouldn’t say top 5 is because the Modern Warfare trilogy is just too good then you have BO1 & BO2 (which are probably in most people’s top 3) but for those that like the black ops storyline more WaW is most likely in their top five

my fav cod then cod 4. i gave up on cod after cod blacks ops 1 or 2. i support BF now but even they have been declining.
After bo2 it went downhill fast. BF5 was okay and 2042 was awful. Been awhile since either series have been good

It’s stated as my opinion but in general it’s not everyone else’s. Usually it’s mw2,bo1,bo2. Something being underrated is subjective and changes from person to person. Someone could think mw2 is underrated even though most people think it’s the best cod. But if they think it’s not only the best cod, but best video game ever it could be considered underrated in their eyes

Well maybe the MP since I think is weaker than CoD4, MW2009, and BO1 but the Campaign is imo a masterpiece probably the best WW2 game we’ve ever gotten, and for Zombies is uhh .. is ok definitely not as good as the other Treyarch titles but definitely better than Exo Zombies but it’s definitely outdated I prefer basically any other zombies than WaW if it wasn’t for the atmosphere it would be forgotten
