Really did! He's just so insanely warm and human, and it shows in a role like this. He just disappears into each character he plays--that's a real actor. And I loved his dynamic with Angela, so what he said about her really made me smile. In fact, the moment where he's like "I don't think Taylor or any girl would be interested in me" and Angela's like "don't say that! I'm sure you have a lot to offer someone" just absolutely melted my heart. That really stuck with me.

Little Hope was so much fun! And miles better than Man of Medan, which surprised me since Man of Medan was also a lot of fun to play. The whole team behind these games are super talented and hardworking and I can't wait for the next setting. Keep it up, Supermassive!

IMO: I also think Little Hope is better. The story is more interesting than the Man of Medan. Man of Medan is a bit more horrifying to me, there are a lot of "gore" in the game. Most of the time when you died in Man of Medan is very scary. In Little Hope, it has a very unexpected ending. It turns out you're a bus driver with PTSD. The feeling of the game is darker than the previous one.

I KNEW there was something that always felt off about the characters. I had the feeling that they did the motion capture and facial capture separately. It's why there's this disconnect. Compare this to a game like Uncharted (I would say Last of Us but that game is so divisive so yeah lol) or Detroit: Become Human where they do both together ^_^

It has to be done though. They needed physical actors and I assume the voice actors were not. Devil May Cry 5 has the same kinda thing, the models, the voices and the motion were all different people. It does make it less authentic but they probably didn't have a choice with their budget.

18:17 Glad to know I'm not the only person who's spooked in their own house because there aren't enough lights on XD Saw Will for the first time in the Chronicles of Narnia: the Dawn Treder (that might be how you spell it, I have no idea; been a while, love Narnia btw) but I haven't seen him really in anything else until this game, and... oh ma gosh. Andrew became my favorite character VERY quickly XD Right from the start, he was the nice(r) guy who wasn't all full of himself or flirty with girls, and he just was really the kind of level headed one of the group. I really loved this game and how it's main focus was grief. Anthony isn't crazy or seeing things that aren't there, he's a traumatized man who saw his whole family perish at a young age and was blamed for it by the town since he was found with the matches. Since he had to make the detour through Little Hope at the beginning, it was a sort of trigger for him, and he relived everything all over again.

The story in this game is well done. A lot of times we get games that last hours and can be good. But a game like this with a story that has depth is really good.

Really did! He's just so insanely warm and human, and it shows in a role like this. He just disappears into each character he plays--that's a real actor. And I loved his dynamic with Angela, so what he said about her really made me smile. In fact, the moment where he's like "I don't think Taylor or any girl would be interested in me" and Angela's like "don't say that! I'm sure you have a lot to offer someone" just absolutely melted my heart. That really stuck with me.

Little Hope was so much fun! And miles better than Man of Medan, which surprised me since Man of Medan was also a lot of fun to play. The whole team behind these games are super talented and hardworking and I can't wait for the next setting. Keep it up, Supermassive!
Welp coop still have some major bugs but the story is intriguing
IMO: I also think Little Hope is better. The story is more interesting than the Man of Medan. Man of Medan is a bit more horrifying to me, there are a lot of "gore" in the game. Most of the time when you died in Man of Medan is very scary. In Little Hope, it has a very unexpected ending. It turns out you're a bus driver with PTSD. The feeling of the game is darker than the previous one.

I KNEW there was something that always felt off about the characters. I had the feeling that they did the motion capture and facial capture separately. It's why there's this disconnect. Compare this to a game like Uncharted (I would say Last of Us but that game is so divisive so yeah lol) or Detroit: Become Human where they do both together ^_^

@@wearenumberone9992 no. They just felt it wa skinda off and they realised it was because the motion capture actors and filming was separate to the facial expressions of the voice actors.
It has to be done though. They needed physical actors and I assume the voice actors were not. Devil May Cry 5 has the same kinda thing, the models, the voices and the motion were all different people. It does make it less authentic but they probably didn't have a choice with their budget.

@Real Yeah. It's a shame because the mo-cap actors seem plenty capable. It's like they put more effort into getting recognisable actors to sell the game. But then a lot of games have been going that route lately; Death Stranding, CoD, etc
Was thinking the same thing. Never understand why they use different people for mocap of the body and the face and sometimes use different voice actors as well. Just use the person one actor for a character. But I guess they have a reason for it.

Me too, it was such a good twist however I do feel as if it wasn't executed well. I like the idea but was really dissapointed cuz I asked myself at the end, like what is the point then.

18:17 Glad to know I'm not the only person who's spooked in their own house because there aren't enough lights on XD Saw Will for the first time in the Chronicles of Narnia: the Dawn Treder (that might be how you spell it, I have no idea; been a while, love Narnia btw) but I haven't seen him really in anything else until this game, and... oh ma gosh. Andrew became my favorite character VERY quickly XD Right from the start, he was the nice(r) guy who wasn't all full of himself or flirty with girls, and he just was really the kind of level headed one of the group. The down to earth type, ya know? Also, like the game, he looks great, so, winner all the way through XD

Well there was mental illness in Until Dawn with Josh and his whole prank persona. It may not have been the true threat of the game but it was a major part of the story.

Yeah, no I understand completely. It was a nice sort of fake out in Until Dawn and I like that the "danger" in the next games have changed up a bit but I do see why other fans are upset about the change.

I really loved this game and how it's main focus was grief. Anthony isn't crazy or seeing things that aren't there, he's a traumatized man who saw his whole family perish at a young age and was blamed for it by the town since he was found with the matches. Since he had to make the detour through Little Hope at the beginning, it was a sort of trigger for him, and he relived everything all over again.
This game is AMAZING And the plot twist blown my mind!
