What’s really beautiful is that Yang is typically the bolder one of the two, while Blake is more reserved. But when they confessed how they felt, Yang was the one who was more hesitant while Blake said it with complete confidence

Something from V9 I haven't seen mentioned much is Blake willingly making puns about Yang's arm. Considering how she blamed and hated herself for it, that truly shows how far she's come, that she has let go of the guilt she felt over it enough to joke about it, and that she also knows Yang is comfortable with it being joked about.
And my favorite part is before Yang kisses Blake, she quickly looks at her and in her eyes to make sure it's what she wants and that she's not moving too fast #consent
Considering that Blake and Yang killed Adam as he was responsible for Yang losing her arm, that is nice to see Blake joking about it.

I do think there's a more defensible version of that argument that goes something like "The buildup goes to waste and feels incoherent because half of it never gets mentioned again and a lot of the other half doesn't string together as well as it should due to being put on the backburner for way too long." I actually started working on rewriting a lot of this aspect of the show recently, and I've found that the overwhelming majority of that work has been extending some existing conversations and adding some new ones here and there to act as more substantial connective tissue for a lot of the solid moments that are already there. It's been interesting looking back at it, as a whole that's ultimately less than the sum of its parts, just because those parts are way too sparsely scattered

They only say it’s forced because they can’t handle being wrong.
I will at least say the pacing is pretty questionable since the buildup they have is VERY start and stop, especially when you stop to consider how a lot of the scenes in this video even from a single season released months apart in real time with very little related in-between stuff connecting them. What they have is good, really good, but they really needed to string it together more closely so that it actually feels more like consistent buildup. Certainly they have a lot of problems with weird omissions where they really really should have added more to a specific scene or conversation and then just kinda didn't, ESPECIALLY in seasons 1, 4, 5, 7, and 8
@@whensomethingcriesagain 1= shallow characterizations and introduction to the world; 4-5 Blake and Yang were literally separated but they still managed to put stuff in via Yang talking about Blake w/ Weiss and Sun bringing up Yang as well as the v4 OP transitioning with Blake staring into Yang's part and all the moments in the ending segment of v5 that screamed romantic relationship between BB; 7-8 are literally when they stopped being subtle and legit started showing their feelings for each other so they idea that they're lacking is a bit "what?". Though overall I'd say you need to remember that RWBY is more aligned to a shounen or sienen aka general audience show, instead of a shoujo-ai/yuri that's aimed at wlw specifically. The story doesn't revolve around them, but has them as an element within; which makes them that much better.

One of the many things i love about Bumbleby, is how Blake and Yang love and accept each other as they are. Even though Yang lost part of her arm and has to use a mechanical prosthetic arm. Blake doesn't think any less of Yang or view her as not whole. In Blake's eyes, Yang is still "complete". While Blake is a Fahnaus, Yang still accepts Blake as she is. Plus, i love that Blake and Yang's eyes are the color of the other one's aura. If that doesn't say that they are soulmates, then i don't know what does. Awesome video btw 🖤💛🖤💛🖤💛🐝🐝

This is the most complete one . I love that you kept it coherent enough to follow the main story as well. Some small scenes were missed however this is a masterpiece. I love sobbing over their confession scene . 🤧 Happy pride !

Can we just talk about this entire scene? 2:21:48 Let me just say that I LOVE YHEM SO FREAKING MUCH!!!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! Secondly I just wanted to point out how Blake is so confident and assured in her feelings for Yang when Yang is usually the confident one. Here Yang is afraid of falling and what that means. Her line “I think I love you” shows how unsure she is of everything but is willing to do anything if Blake is there. Even her facial expressions shows that she wasn’t expecting Blake to say “I love you too”. Yang is so surprised by this because of how unsure and afraid she was. Yet there was Blake who was being patient, comforting, and supportive. These two really are the best couple and I can’t wait to see what comes next in volume 10.

even from season 1, i've seen these two interact the most with each other specifically within team rwby. it makes a lot of sense for them to eventually get together honestly, from how well they work together right from the get-go during the cadet trial to how much it meant to blake that yang gave up an arm to protect her (and how much it meant to yang that blake blamed herself during their time apart). even though adam was a part of the equation, he was honestly insignificant to their actual story. he definitely gave yang loads of opportunities to show how far she'd go to see blake safe, and blake equally many opportunities to finally stand firm and fight instead of distancing herself from her problems. BUT it didn't matter that adam was her ex, what did matter was that yang would've seen through to protect blake no matter who or what they were facing, and blake would've fought to protect yang in turn. i can easily see that they were meant to be the closest to each other in the team from day one, and i'm really glad they did end up being together.

These two dorks mean so much to me, helped me discover I was gay myself. I see myself in both of them, it’s wonderful to see their development over the show thank you for making an updated version I can watch. I’m still in shock that it actually happened I’m so proud of them and I can’t wait to see where the show takes us next. I just know I’ll be along for the ride, with my two favorite characters. whenever i am upset i come back to watch this 2hr video. Honestly i love how much they grew and they are definitely the love trope "slow burn". Ive been rooting them since their first interaction. And one of my favorite parts is during their confession, blake has always despised her cat ears and hides them, meanwhile yang confessed that she found them cute, same with a the arm guilt. i just love them sm

Yang and Blake At first was like, how did that happened? then someone told me it happened on volume 7, I watched every episode, every volume of RWBY but didn't noticed. but when I saw Volume 9 it was all becoming so clear, then it came to fruition when they kissed, "So romantic" 😍😍💞💞

Technically speaking Blake is supposed to be both Belle AND The Beast though yes both Yang and Adam end up taking parts of the "Beast" role at certain times. But Yang is Goldielocks lol.

Unfortunately there's already ones saying it cause it was a magical storm in a magical world that set the beautiful stage for the two's getting together. Not to mention some d-bag that did a whole almost hour long vid trying to say how little was in BB (while also acting like BS just had the entire mall of things). They just are never going to accept that BB wasn't made for them, it was crafted for the gays and those that want mature romances.
@@CrimsonXE It was a really nice scene but at the same time I do wish it had a more naturally heartfelt moment instead of being pushed into taking that step by the universe. I'm still fine with this because of just how well it was done though by the music and acting. They really made it a great moment.
@@Zyemeth0 I wouldn't want that, but a "natural" moment wouldn't have the spectacle of what was given. On top of that being pushed makes perfect sense given their histories and self-doubts as well as the inherent risk of going near the "friendship/romance line". If either of them had not felt the same or if they try a relationship and it weren't to work out it doesn't just wreck their freshly repaired relationship but spreads to the entire team. It makes sense for them to be as wary of it as they are and fits given that the god of the entire RWBY-verse is basically a cosmic counselor. Its also no different than two people that everyone knows have a thing for each other, being locked in a room by their friends to just come out with it in sitcoms.

Yes, it absolutely completely was. They were given the most gorgeous scene and soundtrack in the entire show, as well as having details like even the suction of their lips when breaking from their kiss put in. So yeah, one of the best damn romances out there.

Honestly, Blake is one of my favorite RWBY characters, I just don't get the hate I've been seeing recently.
She's a complex bi femme that didn't become the dude w/ one-sided feeling's trophy gf rewarding him for him being a "nice guy" (instead the two going into being bro's). There's also her being someone that actually fits in a good version of activism, instead of terrorism that didn't sacrifice herself to her abusive terrorist ex. So lot of sexism and homophobia. Same as Yang really.

No immediate plans. I don't think the other full story videos have really had enough content related to them to warrant an update quite yet. Bumbleby had a lot of new stuff though.

i loved the elm/vine vs blake/yang fight, truly a culmination of yangs training and also how in tune her and blake are eeeep my heart T-T
The one major issue I have with vol.9 is Ruby's rushed character arc. Sure, I can buy her finally giving in to the pressure (we've seen some cracks in her confidence before), but her resolution was way too quick. During her ascendance, the only revelation was that her mother lied. And that somehow translates to her deciding to be herself again? What, they couldn't have made her learn a lesson? Like, showing her what other people have said about her when she wasn't there, so she realizes it doesn't matter that she keeps failing - what matters is that she keeps trying.
I'd say the lesson gained from the Summer memory is that heroes are people and not some golden perfection; that they do what they think they need to do. Like reaching out to Raven. Its also twofold in that it brings Raven back up to the audience (which may play a part in v10 or beyond) and giving some re-framing for her by showing her going on Summer's last known mission + her showing care for Tai and Yang but also her not being the settling down type. Also "rushed" isn't the term I'd use, cause Ruby's breakdown arc has been in place since v1 or 2 at least. Ever since Oz not only boosted her up 2 years but also set the stage to allowing her to become the team leader. Well-intentioned things on Oz's end but still putting massive weight on a 15 year old. I can already say that the easy go-to alt I can think of would get raked over coals, cause of "copying v6" in having various memories of Ruby's flash through her mind to remind her that her being her is what led to those things. But I also have no issue with how it was done, given that Ruby was basically given cosmic counseling that included being able to state things she never had been able to before. Namely her hopelessness, feeling of being lost, feeling of lacking, and the burden put on her shoulders to a third uninvolved party. The idea of having an entire episode around Ruby's issues in theory sounds good, in practice would be boring af to a portion of people (as evidenced by v4-5 which were more slow-paced dives into response to trauma and how they're treated as lesser than).
@@CrimsonXE while I'm willing to believe she took those lessons from the memory, the only thing she said about it was that her mother lied. If those were the lessons, they should have been stated outright or made more obvious. But no, the only thing Ruby appeared to learn was that "she lied". Also she was miserable but after that one memory she found herself drawn to Crescent Rose and returned almost immediately, in full swing, like nothing ever happened. Not to mention Jaune went there too and despite serious mental issues he returned the same as before in a much shorter amount of time. There should have been an entire episode of the two of them with the Blacksmith, where they come to terms with their traumas one by one. Because you don't recover from stuff like this in 10 seconds. I know the tree was probably helping them but still. They made a huge deal about the whole process and NOTHING happened in there. They came out exactly the same. This SHOULD have been how Jaune became young again. That's who he needed to be. And the dagger thing should have been just a symbol to show what happened to Alex. (Let's be real - the Blacksmith is totally Alex, right?)
@@ToniBingi I suspect some of what you are asking for was lost when they were forced to cut the volume from 12 episodes to 10 for budget reasons, as they stated one of the things they lost was revealing the Cat had been feeding info to Neo for her Tea Party, among other things.
Truth be told, I never heard of this show, let alone Rooster Teeth until 2017. I was watching a bunch of slo mo guys videos which linked to Gavins desk getting axkicked. I had to watch to binge watch from the beginning and by that time, it was in the middle of volume 5. From what I've seen, they were and are still polar opposites that balance each other out. Blake was so afraid of her past that she was reluctant to form attachments with others. Yang, despite her own past, was always looking for a blast and having fun. I didnt know how their relationship would play out. I was kind of hoping for more of a best friend bond and Sun be in the picture. But now, I think if Sun was there, it would complicate mending their broken trust and relationship for Yang. She already had her guard up when they reunited. The girls needed to confront Adam together. Once he was taken cared of, it allowed not only freedom of that demon, but opening up the emotions and thoughts that were hidden. I think they were able to find out what they truly mean to each other. And that bridge scene was a kind of perfect to allow feelings that may have developed for both of them to come out and just say it. This time, Blake being confident and not afraid, but Yang hesitating out of fear her love not being reciprocating. I think they are going to stay strong and equal to each other as they continue their pursuit to stop Salem.
Also, I know how Sun feels about Blake and as irritated as I was about him leaving, deep down, he must know what she feels for Yang. Even if she wasn't 100% sure what will play out at the time. I just hope that when Sun and Blake reunite, that they can maintain their friendship and he'll be supportive of Blake and Yang being a couple.

I really don’t understand how people think this relationship was forced by the fans. From volume 2 you can see the spark of love growing and even Monty himself said it was planned. Even Barb and Arryn knew and kept it in for 10 years! I am so happy this is canon now and Blake and Yang are sooo much happier now. Here’s to hoping Qrow, Raven, Tai, and team ORNJE see it in volume 10. #GREENLIGHTVOLUME10 DAMMIT!!!
Yeah! They keep saying its forced, while the signs were there before the show even started. Anyone noticed how blake is referenced by the beauty and the beast? In the red trailer the song says: "black the 'beast' descends from shadows, yellow 'beauty' burns gold." Like it was there the entire time!
No, he didn’t say that, stop inventing. Their fans are obnoxious self centred pricks that are only here to see girls kissing (just watch porn or Netflix. At least it’s faster and more sincere!) and as result, many people hate it. But it brings attention and people as shallow as to watch the show only to see them (like a lot here) fall for it like jackasses. What spark? A conversation? OMG, like Blake didn’t had them with SUN too, and other people, and Yang had them with others as well! 😱 Face it, people just wanted to see queer representation and project themselves into a problematic relationship that borderlines trauma bonding and was possible because people would not shut up about it and would harass everyone who did not agree…
Because it does seem forced by the way they were written. Many confuse friendship with romance. Or just want LGBTQ+ couples so they can still keep the toxic fans that threatened them. Since volume one, they never showed interest in women. Plus they are partners, they have to look out for one another. Both physically and mentally. How many fans who are LGBTQ+ confuse this scene where Yang is worried about Blake? And tells her the story about nearly dying and Ruby as children. That's what friends do. We tell each other about tragic things about our past. To show they can be open. It's safe to talk about your emotions. Because they want each other to have a good life. And then there's the part where Yang says "Save me a dance" *Wink*. Girls dance with each other at parties. Hell, they all go into the bathroom together. Even if there's only one bathroom with no stalls. (My cousins do that with their friends. And I've witnessed that with some costumers at work) Plus Yang is known as the Hothead and flirty blonde. Which is why she winked at Blake. Killing the negative tension from doing that action. Blake was too focused on fighting The White Fang to even think about that anyway. Then there's the 3rd volume where Blake hurt Yang. She didn't believe Yang when she said that she saw Mercury trying to attack. Causing Yang to break his fake leg. Plus leaving Yang behind with the trauma of losing an arm. Causing Yang to hate her throughout volume 5. But that drama was cut cause RT wanted to please The LGTBQ+ fans. Who threatened them a couple times. And that's when the character development for them went downhill. Yang stopped caring about Ruby who is her small sister and raised her. Shown when she thinks about Blake hating her decision instead of Ruby. Or how she neglected her in volume 9. Too busy flirting with Blake the whole time. And Blake tells Ruby not to share her feelings. Causing Ruby to bury her emotions down. Till they 💥 in everyone's face. Causing Yang to defend Blake instead of talking down Ruby. Or trying to help her. She just stands there like an idiot. The bridge scene made me roll my eyes. The scenario is forcing them to hook up. No development or good storytelling. Just "Kiss or die"😒 So to me, it's forced and makes the show bad. It's less storytelling and more fan-pandering. Monty did say there will be LGBTQ characters. But he never said it would be them. Making it strange or up to volume 6 they start to ship them. While one was super angry at the one who left without a word. Basically saying that she's not worth staying to make sure she's fine or helping her with that trauma. (That would have been better and more believable) A freaking show called Supermanison on Prime has better writing for two guys falling for each other than this... Good Omens is one too. Heck!, Clover and Qrow we're better writing them, Yang and Blake.
