It was fantastic. An honest, passionate and fearless performance. I wish everyone had her desire to be the best they could be. The kid brought it.
@bearhug7335Ай бұрын
@@bearhug7335 Yeah, but raw talent needs to be developed by real musicians. Not just places that tell every child that they're great. If that's what you want fine, but you're basically paying for people to make your kid feel good and not learn how to be a musician. The people who "instructed" her should be fired. She needs instruction in rhythm, meter, sight reading, ear training. She should have basics down and sing exactly what is on the page before you can improvise runs. She has a powerful voice. She needs to be taught how to control it. This is also a notoriously hard piece to sing. There are adults who can't do it justice. Just check out Fergie's performance of this. It wasn't much better and she is in her 40's. Roseanne at least knew she couldn't sing it, and was a comedian, so she tackled it with her tool box of humor. I got it. It was like she was mocking how many sound like her b/c they can't sing it. Unfortunately, since Whitney Houston knocked it out of the park, everyone thinks they should add a soul/r&b element to this. It's much harder when you add this element b/c it usually involves lots of difficult runs and vocal styling. If you are a novice, it should not be sung in this fashion. Just sing it straight as it is on the page. Much easier. Also, young vocalists need to figure out what their "real" voice sounds like. What are it's strength's and weaknesses? How do you cover for them. Transition from chest to head voice. How to use your voice to its best effect. All these skills progress with practice. It's okay to laugh at our mistakes. As a musician you have to develop a thick skin. Instructors are often unkind in their criticisms. Now things rarely get to me. There are going to be lots of mistakes in the process of learning. However, letting a performer go onstage at this big of a venue was a crime without preparing them properly. Avoidable embarrassment should not be acceptable, especially at this tender young age. As a trained musician, this girl has power in her voice and for the most part that is a natural gift that many don't have. I hope that she understands that any giggling is not mean spirited and it doesn't result in her giving up her dreams. I was untrained and had quite an embarrassing public appearance when younger, when I blanked out of fear and couldn't remember the lyrics. Now I have a bachelors in music. This is just one moment among many. She has the moxie, feeling and raw talents to become an excellent performer with training by a degreed voice teacher.

Or at least get her lessons. Some parents can be too honest and crush kids dreams. If Indina Menzel herself has to lower the key and lip synchs the high note in "Let it Go" why are you expecting more from your kids who aren't 30 year Broadway veterans? The Star Spangled Banner is one of the most difficult songs to sing. A lot of the stuff kids want to sing is out of their wheelhouse. Just think about some of the singers they have in some of those Disney movies (or have a pop singer doing a radio friendly cover) Celine Dion,Mariah Carey,Patrick Stump,Brendan Urie,Demi Lavato,Bette Midler,Lea Solanga,Christina Aguilera,Pebo Bryson,Phil Collins, Elton John and Billy Joel to name a few.

Part of the learning process is recording your practice, listening, observing & recognizing mistakes & how to improve. It’s a vital part of improving one’s abilities. One of the craziest things is the ones with less experience & vocal technique have more confidence than those who have been practicing perfecting their vocal abilities & techniques. So many adults had to approve this. This is on yall.
😅😅😅
It was fantastic. An honest, passionate and fearless performance. I wish everyone had her desire to be the best they could be. The kid brought it.
I absolutely laughed at her singing, y’all gotta start being honest with y’all kids 😂
Exactly. Lack of honesty was how this happened.
Yea she can’t keep performing like that cause if her parents don’t tell her the critics will
There's a lot more responsibility here than just the parents. At some point, a lot of other people could have said "No, I don't care if you want to pay me off"😂😂
Or at least get her lessons.
Nah. Parents need to start being honest with themselves first

I remember the early years of American Idol auditions, when they used to feature the really bad auditions (maybe they still do, I don’t know). There were always people who came in SO confident, utterly shocked when they were told they were terrible. Without fail, there were mom, grandma, and aunties waiting for them outside, equally shocked. Clearly, they’ve spent years telling “Baby” how wonderfully he sings. KIDS NEED TRUTH.
Amen 😂
Oh I remember watching those. Quite entertaining. Funny as hell! I guess I had read that these people apparently had some mental health issues going on, some but not all, so they decided it was best not to exploit that.
This is what happens when your grandfather owns a sports team. Us poor folks have to sound like Mariah Carey or Whitney Houston to get a chance.
Mariah Carey hurts my ears. You’re good.
Huh? 🤔 Us poor folks? - has nothing to do with the talent of a cockroach 🪳 She just can't sing! Doesn't have to rise to the level of a Grammy award-winning singer to sing the national anthem. Oh dear. One of the hardest parts of being a voice teacher is talking with parents about their child’s abilities. Parents expect miracles, when what the child needs is practice & patience. Part of the learning process is recording your practice, listening, observing & recognizing mistakes & how to improve. It’s a vital part of improving one’s abilities. @@invisiblebully171uh oh…..😂
She’s living up to that dress!
sweet sweet Jesus...bless her heart.....she na~na~nailed it
👀 who put her out there!? I need the back story on this one. 😂 There's no way they thought this little girl could sing. But she's definitely a cutie!
Parents lying to your chidren is a wicked wicked thing😂😂
Bless her heart, she put everything she had in singing that. I don't think people are trying to be rude, but I blame the parents for this! She is precious, but has a ways to go. She needs vocal lessons and will be awesome by the time she becomes a teenager. She has confidence!
Her parents knew she couldn’t sing. Why put her out there like that? 😐
She so pretty and so serious,, I feel like she has a beautiful voice just doesn’t know how to take it up And make it fall gracefully….But she can hold a note just making sure it’s the right note❤️❤️
I been laughing at this little girl for 3 days straight 😂😂😂😂 ….her parents set her up 😂😂😂 they knew she couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket🤦🏾♀️….the dress and the hair 😂😂😂
Sometimes you tell a child the truth. Just gonna put it out there.
She sounds great! She’s still young.
You are NOT a terrible person... you're just a human and that was hilarious! If it makes you feel any better, know that you lasted a lot longer than me. I busted out laughing 10 seconds in to that monstrosity of a performance. Whoever dressed her up in that craziness and let her sing, knowing what it was going to sound like, is the terrible person in this situation. They knew it and they still let it happen...
When trying the R&B Gospel version of the National Anthem goes Wrong 🙄🙅🏽♀️😭🍅🖤
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂she thought she was Tip's daughter!😂😂😂
Very. Very wrong!!!!
I tell you what she doesn't care what nobody think. In her mind she is slaying that song.
I’m just glad that someone is showcasing how often the mediocre talents get noticed…she should have been told the truth and not be entitled to such a big role
Not that lil girl gettin gritty and bringing forth her inner Xtina to growl that "bombs bursting in ... YYYYAIR GAAAAVE proof...." part 😂😂😂😂
I didn't think she was singing in English at first
I think she may have gone back n forth 😬🤭
Same!
💀😂 uh uhm.
😂😂😂😂😂
Most of your people can barely speak English, you have no room to talk
Nah fam. That girls guardians are foul for lying to this poor child 😂
The representation of America to the world!!
When she gets older, she's going to be an excellent singer. Wrong place, wrong time for this stage. 😂 But she's so young with many versatile vocals! I had a hard time listening, but I couldn't help but hear potential. Theres just natural sound than CANNOT be taught! ❤
You are pretty 😍
She was singing Metal Jazz 🤣🤣🤣
Lol❤😂😂
🤭🤭🤭
You mean JazzMetazz?
😂
Her passion was inspiring and the….nope I’m not even gon go there. As Big Mamma would say…”Bless Her Heart”
"And the rockets red glare" took me out!!!!!!! She stood on that note at the end like she meant business, didn't she?!?!?!?!😮
She’s got a long life left to live this down. Poor baby. Whoever put her up there needs to sit down and be quiet in all future decisions.
Imma tell my kids this was Fergie's National Anthem
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Because it is😂😂😂😂 Fergie Jr.
Bby grl tryna unleash her inner Whitney Houston 🤣
AND I MEAN TRYING!!
She copied the whole thing. Poor baby.
@@jusamakeoverAnd failing something terrible!😳
This says a lot about the times we are in 😊... This is America
i’ve never wanted to take a knee so badly before
Someone in my choir sings like this. it makes me cry
😂😂😂😂😂
A for effort. And good on her for knowing all the words because despite hearing it hundreds of times, I still dont know every word.
She actually would've sounded better if she didn't know the words🤭
I think Walter Geoffrey is her vocal coach. If you haven't heard of Walter the Frenchie, you absolutely should Google him. His Mom hasn't posted him for a few years but his videos are a must see!
At least you're honest. I loved her singing. I do thank you with all my heart, because without you I would never have heard this. Good day 😊❤.
I was doing good until whoever in the audience started whooing.😂😂😂
No you werent. 🤭
@@deenad3562 no lie, but that last whoo is what broke me. 😂😂😂
