One time when i played Minecraft i spawned in a desert. I was running around collecting sticks from dead bushes but when i destroyed a dead bush the sand started to fall and there was lava under the sand so i died.

28:20 Ranboo didn't die because of the rain drowning him. That clip is from Origins Smp where Ranboo is an Enderian which means he takes damage in water. He was building a pillar so he could get out of the water and stop taking damage but being in water and rain kills faster. You can tell this is why because of the death message "(Player) took a bath for too long" It means he died of water damage

Time to clear some things up: 5:46 - The stronghold’s starter staircase generates at the 4, 4 coordinates relative to a chunk. It is possible to entirely miss the stronghold if you don’t dig down at the starter staircase, and it's a shame that xqc for some reason doesn’t go into spectator mode which would’ve solved this issue entirely. 6:13 - The enderman hit Dylqnnn before touching the flowing water. You can see the enderman teleport after his death, when it actually does hit the water. 6:25 - I’m not sure what the point of this clip is, overworlds with bad oceans and no trees are quite common, especially in a speedrunning environment. This is to be expected when resetting one instance of Minecraft. 6:40 - Once again, common. It is obvious that this speedrunner (no offense to them) resets slower and is on slower pace than others (obtains pearls at 36:43), so in a smaller sample of loaded worlds this overworld can seem unlucky to this runner. 6:53 - It’s Hypixel guys, what did we expect? While unfortunate, this does show skyblock’s incompetence towards legitimate players. This also happened to one of my friends, it sucks. 7:35 - It's so painful when people don’t put blocks around their shulkers. Seriously, if you care about them so much, block them from the void. 10:35 - *blaze shot. Not sure why Reignex didn’t just go through the intersection of the fortress instead of running straight into the blaze’s fireballs, but this is an older clip so it’s understandable. 11:00 - This is tough, because this isn’t a chance-related event, and you could say it was purely GamingGoneRon’s fault. Still hilarious to watch his avatar all happy while he’s in pure pain. 12:36 - Certified Hypixel moment. They have an anti-cheat rivalled by no other. 12:43 - People should think twice before setting fire to a tree literally one block from their house. 13:33 - The block caught on fire, the slab was placed on the fire. These things happen when you bridge directly over a lava lake with wood. 15:12 - Has a 2-gate system. Fails to use the 2-gate system entirely. 15:58 - This bug happens when you light the portal on the tick that the water drains. I can guarantee this has happened to pretty much every top runner and can be fixed simply by clicking the right mouse button one more time. 16:12 - Yes, let’s transport a dolphin across land while completely disregarding the 4-block fall damage distance. This will go well. 19:15 - These walls are intended to have a chance to be in place. This room has “fake walls”, and can generate in 4 different locations in the room. 20:25 - If he exploded the fifth bed immediately after the fourth, he would’ve PB’d. The dragon was definitely low enough on health. 23:46 - From the 1.17 version of Minecraft onwards, shulkers sit slightly higher up in boats meaning they can fire even if there is a solid block beneath them. You should be prepared with regen/healing potions. 25:13 - Yes, an event caused by pure luck and not Tubbo just being Tubbo. 25:40 - Common overworld. 28:25 - Origins SMP clip? Ranboo, being an enderman, takes damage when he touches water. 29:33 - Most of us know that a minecart will take off from a powered rail when it has a block behind it. Hope this helped people understand some of these clips better!

the clip at minute 8:54 is actually a clip from a video of BastiGHG, a german youtuber and streamer, looking for rare things in minecraft for a challenge. it’s incredibly rare for a dog to take this long to tame, which was his goal to find and it actually took him quite some time of running around and taking wolves to achieve it, so yeah it’s unlucky but it was his intention (source: BastiGHG and fact checked by me)

5:52 Yep, that happened to me before. I was very sad so I made a creative world with a pretty house and axolotls and I decided to go beat the Enderdragon and the stronghold just WASN'T THERE. It took me like 40 minutes to realize that. It just ruined my day even more. It happened like 7 months ago.
A couple years back I decided to start a survival game at like 3am and I ended up playing all the way to late afternoon the next day. I had just mined a load of diamonds and found more than a few rare items, everything was going great and I had no reason to worry since it was day time and I was decked out in diamond armor. I was at full sprint, occasionally jumping from block to block and just as I was midair an arrow from god knows where hit me and sent me flying off a cliff. Watching Steve splatter into all those precious items at the bottom of that canyon was probably the most defeated I ever felt while playing a video game…
In a server I played on with my friend, the end portal spawned in without a path to it to where we dug in. Except for a one block gap in the ceiling in the middle of a geode. After searching most of it I needed to use spectator mode to find it. Even then it took a while.

10:31 A couple of ways he could've got out of that: - Used the blocks in his inventory to make a platform for Ghasts to spawn, which have a chance of lighting a portal - Used the lava bucket to set fire to a flammable block placed next to the portal I'm over a year late, hopefully he found a way to recover. 1 year lost must suck
