i still remember back when stripped's eras first started, the world was literally against her fashion. many media criticized her image. but now, the table has turn. all her fashion from stipped's eras are hail as one of the most iconic fashion statement by a female artist. even untill today people still obsessed with all her look from stripped days.
Such a good point! That’s what you call being ahead of your time ;-) The two-faced media can go to hell, though. There’s been a lot of talk that Britney’s team had a lot of pull with the media and enlisted them in bashing Xtina to hurt her career. Eminem had a lot of influence in turning young, impressionable audiences against her too. She never really got a fair shake, all the way back to those nasty kids growing up trying to sabotage her. But she has survived it all, with a respectable career, a beautiful family, and her voice and talent still very much intact!

To me that's better than selling tons of albums. So many music artists can do that but not to many can win the Music Icon award! Christina is so Amazing!

I was 14 when stripped came out struggling with an ED, feeling so lost and when I heard beautiful I just started crying. I felt like someone else in the world understood my pain. I felt seen for the first time ever. So thankful for that album.
When this album comes out i was 10 yo. This album was my best friend at my teenage years, makes me better person and helping me to thorough the most difficult times in my life until today.... Kisses from Greece!
I'm not a fan of "pop" music but nobody has a voice like Aguilera. She can sing any style, every note, and she has some old school soul sound that feels like it's from the old days even though nobody from the old days had that depth. When it comes to pure singing and pure vocals, she may be the best ever. Not necessarily the best songs or the best performer/dancer, but for pure vocals she just might be the best ever.
Her songs ARE the best when it comes to ballads. Like you said she's pure vocals but cant do it without the ballads. It goes hand in hand. I love all her genres tho but of course ballads always win

But honestly I’m also not a fan of the whole “both great “ thing. Because ppl are STILL allowed to have opinions. For whatever reason is they think one artist is great while another sucks, they’re allowed too. We also can’t assume ppl are speaking against “both great/different “ just because they compare. Xtina May shine best in blues/ballads but to be boring if she sang the same genre all the time, so I’m glad she does pop, Rock, hip hop, etc. she doesn’t let her fans or anyone else put her in a box

Disney was still a premium channel and did not have the huge audience they gained in the 2000’s when they were added to regular cable. Christina and her mom couldn’t even afford to go home for the holidays on her Disney salary.
Xtina was a superstar, but still underrated. The critics were tough on her. Her wearing glasses when she was a kid, surprised me. I wonder what happened there. Did she get LASIK, does she wear contacts, or did she just not need them anymore, as she got older.

It's weird because, she said that the fans sang along to the songs of stripped more than the previous album... It's clear that her fans prefer that kind of music from her, where she can genuinly be herself as a singer with soul and passion. I loved stripped and back to basics, but stopped listenning to her from the bionic aera... It always felt to me that this wasn't christina and still today, i think her music is not a reflection of who she is, because she cant sing her heart out of those pop, electro songs... If she ever released another album like stripped and back to basics, i'm gonna be so there, but until then... it's not that kinda of music that i want to hear from her, and i'm sure i'm not the only one thinking that. I think the statement the fans sang more of the stripped album than the first one is a proof of that.
Liberation is also great ,it has masterpieces like deserve ,unless its with you etc
Christina has always been multi-dimensional and loves to challenge herself. Everyone album features a few strong ballads no matter how she switches up her sound. She is a true chameleon. Liberation is definitely in the vein of Stripped but tells her stories as a mature woman with children.
