  • As many blunders as Mike Goldberg as made, I would argue that his iconic catchphrase “AND IT IS ALL OVER!” was amazing and paved the way for the excitement and energy that a finish brought to the ufc. I think it’s better now than hearing Joe, Jon and DC just yell “OOOOOHHHHHHHHH” when someone gets finished.

  • I really think Goldi mentioning the fact that it takes a lot of energy to be a rockstar was a pretty relevant comment when it comes to Ronda and that fight specifically. It may not have been the best time to discuss it, but in hindsight I definitely think the stardom and feeling of being invincibility was a factor in her downfall, and it's often said about fighters who get too famous (ie mcgregor). I think everyone just hangs on Rogans word so much that nobody even bothered to consider why he said that, and instead just pointed and laughed

  • It was actually Randy Couture who used the “shot his wad” reference first while commentating for the UFC. I don’t recall which fight it was, but I remember Rogan clarifying that it was a gambling term and then using it himself later on.

  • 9:53 This wasn't strange, he was talking about the fact that she had spent so much time making films etc when she should have been training. The comment required the audience to use their brains and read between the lines of what he was saying. It's seen as strange because of the way Joe over reacted because he was annoyed Ronda was getting smashed. It was a perfectly reasonable statement though.

  • 10:20 the UFC commentary was never better than with Goldie and Rogan in there. Yes Goldie did make mistakes but let's not overlook the great camaraderie between him and Rogan. Where now it's all suits, with Joe and Goldie it actually felt like two guys just watching fight(for the most part)
