Car is registered, went for the first real shake-down drive today.
Those wheels aren't the final wheels for this car, the offset is far too positive. I'm getting the final wheels modded currently, but got sick of waiting so I put longer wheel studs in the rear hubs so I could run a 6mm spacer in the back, just while the first test driving is complete.
No major problems to report, just a few little niggles:
- one of the heater hoses started pissing coolant onto the exhaust 5 minutes in
- throttle seems to get stuck open when the car is warmed up fully
- the engine speed hunts all over the place when warmed up and idling, carbies need adjustment
- engine temp gauge doesn't work
Other than that, it was a pretty good first drive. Handles really well considering the wheels aren't aligned yet. It is going to be a comfortable car to drive that is for sure.
