  • The queen of recycling and repurposing strikes again! Using leftover bits and pieces and turning it into a glorious project indeed. It’s amazing to see your brain at work. I’m thinking I could make a slightly smaller version using brown lunch bags and make those into teacher gifts with a gift card stashed inside.

  • I have joined the club of those who have watched every one of your videos, and I am looking forward to more! My favorites are making ephemera which I use for making greeting cards and gifts, and I'll assemble the ephemera for a journal soon. It is so helpful that you show mistakes and how to avoid them or fix them, and how you strive for perfection. Your conversation is informative, witty, and fun. You are like being with a best friend who is teaching me. The little visits with Banjo are also fun, and I like to see glimpses of your children's work. Your interview was fascinating and explains so well your passion to reuse and recycle. You tell us we do not have to go buy this or that but to make do with what is at hand and how to do work arounds such as if you don't have a sewing machine, use glue. I bought your book, but I don't do etsy or pinterest - those would be too expensive to mail to Tampa, Florida, USA.

  • Natasha, you break my heart. I just left the scrapbook-area to start in miniature painting, speedpainting and creating landscapes for table top, tainted grail, nemesis and so on. It was a challange, but I am already in and the community is way more pleasant and honest. You and a canadian lady were the only ones that really made me happy. Watching this wonderful project...I think, in between, I am going to make some little things for friends like this creative idea you are presenting again!!! People like you are probably better of in Australia, but do you sometimes still get kind of homesick? I wish you the best this world has to offer and send you hugs from Berlin! Love Holly

  • 30:46 “Yes-Please” for the tutorials on buckled mini belts (closures for journals). If you could add to that cleating your own buckles (with layers of cardstock, for example) that’d be awesome. DIY buckle expert? 29:38 I recon silver buckles can be changed to gold buckles with some sanding block, primer and gold gilding wax. I love anything designed to be able to be transformed, converted, reversed, dual-purposed, detached…. In clothing, furniture, storage, etc. I keep such ideas on a dedicated section in Pinterest and am pinning this video there as well. This particular transformer is a must do for any future trips worth documenting in style. Functional ephemera/journaling pages converted back to a usable bag -- oh, simply wonderful.

  • Love this, Natasa! I've seen other projects with paper bags, all so clever. What I liked most about this, was how each bit you did was such a simple little project, not much embellishment. Yet when you put it all together it looks so sumptuous and extravagant 🥰Even the tags were just shaped and stitched. I do have to fight the urge to over-embellish 😄

  • Your sense of humor literally makes me lol 😂 I love this project. Very creative. I have a bag just like that, that has also been sitting folded up in the same way. Now I have some ideas on what to do with it. TFS! ❤

  • Funny, I just made a belt for an envelope journal using a vintage mother of pearl buckle just like your tortoise shell one 👍❤️ You figured it out perfectly of course! 😊

  • Hey neighbour ❤, I just love the ASMR at the start of your videos and you just jump right in, no um or ah-ing. You've given me another use for my paper bags, careful how you say, pocket pocket pocket, it can sound like something else. F it f it f it.😂❤. Bless Banjo's furry socks.🐕🇦🇺❤❤❤✂️

    • Only when it doesn't work, Natasha, 😂 Webbing, is a fusible fabric you can iron on to thinner fabric like silk to help strengthen it , quite often instructions, or as I call them, destructions suggest to use a lighter to stop edges from fraying. Faux tatoos can also be applied to regular paper. Fun for junk journals. ❤❤❤🇦🇺
