A remarkably high level of competition was showcased in the Men’s Group final, with three teams recording scores above the magical 30.000 mark. Performing last, an emotional Israel secured their first ever World Championship gold, finishing 0.31 points ahead of pre-final favourites, China.

Couldn’t agree more. The Chinese routine was intense! Brilliantly difficult but the Portuguese and Israeli routines were strikingly beautiful!

I'm not even Chinese but I cried watching their performance. That was beautifully phenormenal, they are just seriously another level. Can't imagine how much their coaches are proud of them.......and they look really good.

OMG China. That flyer. I would be like, "You want me to do what?" And he's so nonchalant during scoring. Like, "whatever, nap time."
China was wonderful! I must admit, I know nothing about the scoring methods of this sport. I am in agreement with many others, China seemed to be the best!
The FIG is looking for more Accurate execution instead of crazy difficulties, israel manged to balance these two components perfectly with a stuning choreography and music while the chinese group had a crazy difficulty, but less accurate routin with less show than the israel team

I think the reason they didn't win were the absolutely unusual figures they had all over. I judges didn't give those a high enough rating because they just didn't know what to do with them.

This is my first time watching this form of Acrobatics/gymnastics and wow what a great show!! SO MANY IMPOSSIBLY (to me) DIFFICULT PRECISION MOVES!! Lovely music choices too. Edit: Its after the facts, so I won't comment on the medal positions except to say the most "heart-stopping"moments was from the China Team. The way that young man literally flew!!! through the air with utter confidence and grace towards his team mate's arms was just amazing. Bravo to the choreography 👍👍👍👏👏👏🌟💐💐
China was nice, but the flying and jump rope moves I remember best a couple years ago on AGT when Zurcaroh did them.
China use that elements before zurcaroh It's a someting that i think will stay many years to china in the men's group category

As a gymnast from that sport I can see u understand nothing on this sport performance isn't only the one saying the final results it's the execution how they did the elements how they was really clean on them how they did the elements perfectly and than comes the artistics.
Lemma give u an example of what mean u are not paying attention for the elements they did the top was kinda wobbly on some elements and every wobble of that is 0.3

I mean they were all great but Portugal's performance really moved me, I don't know why. Seriously a few tears China's performance had me with my mouth open the whole time though

What a difference the quality of the chinese gymnasts dancing makes. Beautiful lines, much smoother qualify of movement. Dynamic and fluid.
China Team looks so elegant, even so they threw that guy here and there. Powerful performance

I'm from Israel and I didn't even know we won.. haha But I must say I agree with others here- the Chinese team was my fav.. I obviously can't judge it technically, as I know nothing about it, but I thought the Chines group choreography was magical and they were breathtaking! But of course I'm extremely proud of the Israeli guys! (and to be honest I admire all the groups!)

OMG, China 2 performance gave me CHILLS! I don't know anything about this sport, but from all the performances I just witnessed here, China 2 WON period! Israel was good, but there's no way in hell their performance was as good nor as creative than China 2. Btw, I'm a 56 yr old Black American male, so I'm not in any shape or form of being biased. NEW SUB!

My favorite part was at 15:24 when a child proudly told the world to suck it. Miguel is my new hero.
China was #1 hands down. They were absolutely mesmerizing and no one else's routine compare. Then Portugal for #2, they were incredible as well.
Not sure what the judges were watching it wasn't even close. China was head and shoulders above all other teams.
D. Gaines judges have ways to take points off so it if the landing is too low that would be a point off this explains way China may not have won
Literally head and shoulders, they probably got a height deduction because the top is so little and obviously it's easier to throw a lighter person around
Height differences and old routine (so deduction in the athletic difficulties because the flyer was so small compared to the others and deduction in artistic because of the lack of originality and creativity as they used an old routine)

China was underscored for artistry imo, and Russia was overscored for execution. Should have been China, Israel, Portugal the way I saw it

I feel like the choice of music impacts the feeling too. Israel chose a really engaging piece, it made everything so much more fluid without choppy editing of the music that the others had chosen. So it would make sense why they’d earn gold because music to me really makes a difference.

The routine of the Chinese team, reminds me of some of the skills of the Austrian acrobatic - dance group, Zurcaroh
The China Team had me shOOK throwing their top around like that, but i must say, that windmill routine thing was so beautiful and creative i love it. ASIAN PRIDE YAY; Portugal as well, theirs was so nice and beautiful, I'M IN LOVE WITH ALL THE TEAM'S ROUTINES, I CAN'T CHOOSE

The China performance was the same as theirs in 2016, so it's not surprised and the Israel's one was more artistic.

I'd give it to the Israelis. The top on the Chinese teem was maybe 65 pounds, while the Israeli was a grown ass man.

Okay did any of you guys notice that some guys whose head are used as a support (for one handed handstand, or planche) have bald spot on their head? I'm not talking regular balding pattern "bald", they have thick hair but have a bald spot XD
@Brittney Venable wouldn't it make more sense to either shave off their entire heads or just cut it shorter? Having that bald spot in the middle doesn't seem flattering at all, I doubt anyone would subject themselves to it willingly :/

Yes China have a high score in difficulty. But on the rules, they have a heights of difference between partners 31 - 35 cm. . So They maybe have the following deductions on 0.5 - 1.00 point from the total score.

@@melodyleong sorry im a bit late to the game. The rule is there so that the top, or the small one being thrown around, is not too light for the bases.
i think israel is amazing in the sense that in the simplicity of their choreography, it was clean and everyone was very very much in sync. instead of trying all the impressive moves and styles, points lies in the very basic execution of routine, it looks effortless and perfect. Having said that, i certainly don't mean that the other countries are not clean but if you look at israel's team, all of their routine was flawless and done with such grace and ease yet strong. I really think that Israel's win is justified. Good job and Congratulations!

First time watching this, but just imagine if the judges kept awarding teams based on how difficult or life threatening the stunt was. It would become a dangerous game and move away from beauty and synchronization.
WOW!! It's amazing what these gymnasts can do, especially China!! 😲 But am I the only one who's heart was in her mouth the whole time watching these routines? I could only enjoy them the second time around, after seeing that nobody fell and nobody got hurt, and even then my heart skipped a beat or two.... this sport is frightening!! 😱

The Chinese were superb but I think their downfall was have someone on the team that was so little, compared to the other teams where everyone was the same size , I would think him being so small would have made some of the tasks while complicated a little easier.
For me it’s not a matter if the flyer is tiny(Asian are small typically) plus the base who carries all three of them are pretty strong and amazing. He balance all of them with strength.

Their routine was substantially less difficult due to using a tiny child as their throwboy.
The true reason China lost was due to the fact that their mistakes cost them points. Each element must be done with a fluidity to them and China took extra steps after each element. They were not as artistic as the others? I call bullshit on that. Size? So they give deductions on a persons size? Hmm, right. Lol

China came to IMPRESS but Israel came to EXPRESS! That made them win! I feel bad for Israel for the comments that indirectly say they don't deserve the gold medal. The issue Israel being wobbly? Oh my you have to consider and appreciate the guy on the bottom/base, he was the shortest among his teammates. They are almost of the same size unlike others with a kid-size top. Watch the 2016 edition of the competition and you will see that China just did the same difficult routines. On the other hand, I agree that Portugal was robbed of their bronze.

По-моему у китайцев был слишком лёгкий ребёнок но акробатика просто супер...у израильтян и у русских дети какие-то здоровые и по виду тяжёлые... хоть я ничего и не понимаю в этом виде спорта ,но я бы дала предположения за тяжёлые элементы Израилю и России,..

China was breath taking and portugal makes me fall in love with their routine. Israel was fine but idk I felt bad for some teams who are way more deserving.
China had an incredible presentation, their skills were rated high, but what differentiated from the Israeli team was their artisticity, not only is the figure they create with their bodies, but also how the movements flow, distribution of space, even the costumes, putting on stage, that gave Israel the advantage. No, the judges are not Jewish.
Portugal and China were each BEAUTIFUL, and ARTISTIC and very moving! GOOD JOB to the both of them, and everyone else in this competition! Crazy talented people
