  • I can't believe people can't understand him saying no when he has shown his parents personal trauma that transferred to him. This is what happen when men don't do right by their wife and children. Your children are left with distrust and insecurities. This is the generational curse that plays out in broken homes. I applaud Clay for what he is doing to heal himself.

    • @@nickylnr I'd never assume to know a person's intention, whom I've never met. He's not the first to decide no at the last minute but for some reason, the ladies are in their feelings about Clay. The goal is to get married but it's still a choice, from what I understand. I think that Clay started an important conversation about how infidelity can affect children. Kudos to Clay and his family for putting themselves out there.

    • Women need to understand, at some point, that women and men are two different creatures, and we marry differently. We may choose our short-term partners based on their beauty and individual attributes, but we do not decide to marry them for them. One thing I agree with you on is that it is self-indulging and a bit self-centered of a decision to make, but we make it nonetheless. We think, “How can she help carry my plans for us?” “Is she a woman I can come home to daily who creates a peaceful home for me after grinding in the world?” We look for a HELPMATE, and regardless of how selfish it may be, it is what it is. And no, it's not all men.

People are so quick to throw stones, until they are in the same position. This is a life-long commitment. We need to have more grace. Unless you're that little kid being taken along to witness your father betray your mother and keep it secret as a child - you can't pretend to know whonhe is. Relationships are supposed to be mirrors and no one is guaranteed to say I do or I don't. Leave this man alone. It wasn't meant to be for them right now - it's life!

He wouldn’t have asked AD what she looked like if he just wanted clout because being unpleasantly surprised is no big deal if you’re just going to say no in two weeks anyway, you know? I think he believes most of what he says even if I think, deep down, it’s may not be true. Example, i think he believes she’s the love of his life. I think the show wants the contestants to wait to get to the altar to say no for RATINGS. They need drama. The Jimmy and not Megan Fox breakup pre-altar was good drama but they would have preferred them be messier and dramatic and let all the wedding attendees waste their time and great outfits so the can pan the audience for reactions

    • I think we can give him some grace here because it’s an easy assumption to think you’re more ready for something than you are. Everyone has baggage and even IF he had an inkling he had some emotional baggage, he was living in the outside world so very easy to suppress or keep yourself busy. We even saw on the show he was constantly working and not coming home to AD so maybe busyness was his way of numbing out / coping before he joined the show. The pods were probably the first time ever he was forced to have no distractions (no phones, tv, work etc) and the realisation of what he was battling with was overwhelming to process in that short time frame and on national TV. So I extend grace because there is no perfect path to healing and no one is doing it perfectly. Everyone is just making the best decision with what they know ❤

The initial emotions you feel when first dating someone are not the real deal it is a chemical response. Instead of bashing this man for not going through with it and damaging this woman way more in the marriage because he wasn't ready how about being thankful that he didn't go through with it.
