I remember one morning, i was talking to the crew in Tagalog but she replied in English, napaisip tuloy ako baka hindi nakakapag salita ng fluent Tagalog and there was this one time while i was working (wally land) may 2 crew na babae na bumibili, nakita ko yung isa naka uniform pa, kaya sabi ko "Jolly evening, welcome po sa walmart", akala cguro nila latino ako hehehe. -tambay ng SoCal

  • There's a sh!t ton of OFWs around the world, and seeing a Jollibee makes us feel nostalgic and miss our families in the PH. Jollibee is a huge part of the Filipino culture. It is more than just a fastfood and their "corporate strategy". We celebrate birthdays, achievements, and recognitions in Jollibee when I was a kid. This place would always have a special place in my heart.

    @stranger0128@stranger0128 Жыл бұрын
    • Yeah, you can say it's the corporate representative of Filipino food and culture. I worked outside Ph for only a year and half and I craved Jollibee so much. Before then, I thought it was an exaggeration, but no, I was proven wrong. OFWs who grew up in PH will always miss Jollibee, even if it wasn't exactly their favorite food chain. It's like missing your family, your hometown.

The thing is, only in the Philippines you'll see McDonald's serving rice with chicken, in Thailand they don't. Here in Sweden they have Spicy cheese shots and Spicy Wings. The point is, you don't serve your original menu to the whole world, because we have different taste buds and group of foods that we grew up with. So, i'll say it's a job well done for Jollibee as well.

All Fast Food Chains here in the country like McDonald's, KFC, Popeyes, and even Pizza Hut here in the Philippines have Rice, and McDonald's have something similar to Jollibee's Burger Steak with Rice Meal. And along with KFC, McDonald's also serve Spaghetti. In the Philippens Dairy Queen only sells, Frozen Treats and Cakes, no Burgers, no Drinks, no Chicken, just Ice Cream and Cakes.

It's got the best fast food fried chicken that I've had, it's consistent, they've got a decent menu (I'm in Canada) but the menu on the west coast of the US is substantially larger and looks better haha. This might trigger people but their take on spaghetti is the best and most flavourful I've had. Better than the traditional Italian spaghetti.... I said it. The peach mango pie is awesome and the pineapple juice literally goes with everything on their menu. It's just a very tasty meal. And their gravy, oh their gravy is one of the best I've had. • In Philippines, the chicken is overly battered. I think Jollibee adjusts their quality based on location's standards.

  • I've just celebrated my birthday today and I have eaten a Jollibee meal. I love Jollibee! it's been part of my childhood. Jollibee chicken is the best. It's juicy, succulent and crispy. and peach mango pie is one of the best dessert to look for.
