DJ is the main reason why I started watching One FC. His fights are always exciting.
7:40 Nice sign of humility to one of the greats of all time.
Still one of the biggest upsets in mma history. Oh how I wish knees to downed opponents were in the ufc. It would completely change the wrestling dominant landscape.
Wrestlers would be even more dominant.
@@donovanchilton5817 True, They could throw knees at their opponent while controling them on the floor which would just be unfair for the person in bottom position who wouldn't be able to properly defend againts them.
That's what caught out DJ. Consciously he knows in ONE Championship downed opponents can take knees to the head, but dazed by the uppercut, he reverted to lizard brain which was programmed in the UFC where downed opponents can't take knees to the head. Thus he left himself wide open for it.
I think Pena had a bigger upset.
@@donovanchilton5817 Rizin would like to talk to you!
DJ forgot, he’s no longer within UFC rules exposing his face to a killer left knee.
Same thing I was thinking
But he never said he forgot, why put words in his mouth just to make excuses? Just accept he loss fair and square
@@justinholland6132 "fair and square" is pushing it. The size difference is crazy and that dude probably isn't even tested
And exposing himself to fighting against disgraced steroid cheats. One Championship, the promotion those go to avoid USADA and all other anti doping commissions.
@@systematik dj is all natural right?
DJ smashing him in the rematch is vengeance in the name of all Short Kings
Man, DJ defeated Moreas with same left knee in rematch... 🔥🔥🔥
DJ got it back bitches!!!! Most dominant and dynamic flyweight in history of MMA baby!!! Long live the flyweight goat. Moraes got the sneaky knee the first fight and DJ made sure so to feed him back that knee, actually an even sweeter one!!!!!
so satisfying seeing dj land his own finishing knee on moraes in the rematch
One FC made me appreciate Mighty Mouse even more. Whether he wins the ONE title again, it would be cool to see him fight the best flyweights in UFC again
DJ has never won One’s division title, he’s only won a tournament belt.
@@MrBlonde47 Im happy to see people who are actually paying attention to the sport 👍
Why. Because he got beat by lesser opponents? In a lesser organization
@@Fony_turgeson because this opponent is just lucky who the fuck did he fought ?
@@Fony_turgesonif you compare divisions in both UFC & One ….. one fc is superior
That last knee makes me understand why they're illegal in the UFC 😵
UFC was a BJJ promotion. Knees to the head whilst downed woudlnt work well for grapplers
@@mskidi Actually it would. A fighter will just have to stay on their back inviting a guard. Keeping their head low and towards the mat. He got smashed because he tried to get up
@@starcityrc3298 If it was that simple, they wouldnt have made 'em illegal mate.
They're illegal because they're a lot more dangerous to a downed opponent's health. DJ's eyes rolled back instantly...
@@hunterhunter5998 How is that different from any other knockout? Their eyes roll back from a punch too. By the way those single-shot knockouts do less damage than many smaller strikes. There are a lot of neurologists who would like to see boxing go back to bare-knuckle for that reason.
Moraes very skilled, practically run around and closed out the distance whenever he wanted.
Incredible footwork
Also he is a weight class above 125
@@nerigiron7704 atleast 1, maybe 2
I mean fighting someone who’s 5’3 and you have all the physical advantages I’d imagine that’s something we’d see from time to time
DJ still one of the greatest fighters to have stepped in any cage..
Two great fighters..and sportsmanship
Size played a huge difference in this fight and it was a great disadvantage for Demetrious Johnson. DJ fighting guys bigger and taller than him has always been tough for him.
they’re in the same weight class
tragedy of success. each time you win and dominate the opponents keep getting bigger and longer.
@@jomarreyes5432 use common sense tho....... Do they look equal.... He'll no
@@darksid33 omg the reach diff is insane... Plus the tall guy must of rehydrated 20lbs lol

Uma Joelhada Dessas Não Tem Bom. Boa Sorte Para D J ,Grande Lutador.
The knee was the mouse trap
Wkwkkwkk .. 😂😂👍
hammer trap
dj forgot its no longer ufc anymore
I think its pretty damn cool that DJ is pushing himself fighting bigger guys
This really makes me appreciate Bruce Buffer a lot
Esse é o cara a ser batido, ninguém faz isso com Demetrius Jhonson! Genial!! Eeeeeeee do Brasilllllll
Moraes Parecia que tava batendo numa criança kkkkk
🇧🇷🖒
I thought the shot was illegal but learned the rules are not the same as the UFC.. glad some of you clarified that on here for me! Great fight can’t wait to see the re match
People don’t realize the right hand dropped DJ before the knee. It was so fast. Insane performance by Moraes and I cant wait for the rematch.
It's on 27th isn't it ... I do not follow one ... Who are the best Fighters here ?
That uppercut literally barely even grazed Dj, he ended up slipping
Revenge is sweet
Show simplesmente fantástico..
To me, DJ is the best MMA fighter of all-time. He's an artist in there.
Hope these guys run it back would love to see another fight
Well well well..
Aged like wine
Lmao my man Johnson is a real life ninja out side the octagon, they call him the mouse. Even though he lost, still a fan. Went down fighting😂🤣🤙🏽
Esse cara fez história ganhar por nocaute desse fenomino anão é pra qualquer um.tem que ser fenomino também.
Amazing Fight...i live it !!!!
Nasty knee KO
Kairat Ahmetov & Moraes III - very good fight!!!
battle of BJJ Elites, so satisfying to watch regardless of who the winner is
Dj gets it back tonight
Props to DJ for pushing the pace. It's hard to close in on a longer fighter who has good movement. He just got caught coming in too fast and there's also different rules like knee on ground.
Very impressive win by Moraes, made me a huge fan
Exciting for the 2 between this 2 gladiators.
Dj got em back in the rematch , a must watch 😮💨
Gotta appreciate the respect. After fights like these. Training to win? Ya lose or win. Win or lose. These are tough guys, inside and out🤷🏼♂️🤷🏿♂️
Now this is commentary, guys actually talking about whats happening in the fight
Flyweight in the ufc is 125lb but flyweight in One championships is 135lb. Size definitely played a role in this fight.
Sure, if we ignore the fact that they are the same weight on the night... 🙄
@@FaithRox is that confirmed? because they look like 2 weight classes apart here.
@@FaithRox doesn't negate the fact that demetrious is fighting above his normal weight class
@@FaithRox but they quite blatantly are not.
@@shindavid6484 If Moraes was heavier than DJ during the weigh-in, this fight wouldn't even happen. Think of it as something like Jon Jones vs Cormier. If you'll watch their first match, Jones looked A LOT bigger than Cormier, but in terms of weight, they're just as heavy as each other (205 lbs).
👍👍 Perjuangan yang dramatis...mantabee..!!! Bravo: Adriano Moraes
HE GOT HIS REVENGE WITH A KNEE ITS AS POETIC AS IT GETS
One problem I see was that DJ wasn't setting up leg kicks with the jab. He started doing it second round, but he could've slowed him down of he did it earlier.
Nah man. With a much bigger opponent you want to attack the lead leg first to set up the jab. It's very difficult to fight a guy who is 20lbs bigger and much longer. To start with the jab is very risky. It's better to start with low kicks which keep you out of danger ,)
If a guy has longer reach than you his legs presumably would be too. That means you're still in reach of getting kicked. Beyond that you're also very easily countered with a check which has caused a lot of injuries in the ufc. Also note that throughout the fight his opponent was circling away from him meaning he wasn't in fear of getting hurt as much playing ok the inside since his opponent didn't want to engage as much. Even on a theory level fighting a larger, longer reach opponent dictates you try to work your way in, because your opponent gets free hits on the outside with a longer reach. The jab, when in range, is the least likely to be counted because it's the fastest attack, exposes the least amount of yourself, and can easily be faked.
Different fight instincts DJ being on all fours. kneeing a downed opponent is not part of the fight game in UFC so the habit of defence wasn’t there
This was his 4th fight at ONE 🤨
man the limb length difference is crazy, i guess even with djs speed it’s hard to get a good attack in
Ever since I saw Aljamin Sterling “win” a fight by baiting an actual fighter to knee him in the face by planting his hand on the ground while exposing himself to get wrecked, I’ve wanted knees and kicks to opponents on the ground
For some reasons I like this knee to the grouded fighter. There is high risk but fighter won't just deliberately be downed to save themselves from knees when they are loosing.
Me personally I feel like if you don’t participate in at least amateur level mma you shouldn’t have a say so on what should be legal, why you wanna see people get hurt even more
He gave him the same medicine as in the previous fight. He has an enviable physique and very tall for that weight. Very good fight
What previous fight? They fought twice?
He has a typical physique for many fighters that close to the equator💉👌 ...and the gynecomastia to complement🤷♂️
Stumbling in to get something after the missed knew was a mistake. He walked right into. Hook
man the size difference is gigantic
Dj out here fighting giants for us
Love 💕 the Brazilian from india
what a shocker..however Adriano is an alert fighter who took an opportunity.
I think knees to the head of down opponent is fair game. It adds another dimension to the offensive and defensive ground game, and actually gives strikers a chance against a good grappler. DJ, by getting up so quick and handling it like a champ, shows that it's no more dangerous than being KO'd any other number of ways - Hell Ben Askren showed us that when he got FLYING knee'd by Masvidal into the shadow realm.
Reasons why ufc doesn't do it is becuz it'd give wrestlers more of an advantage to be even more dominant! And u kno wrestlers are not what sells so hence why Dana will never change that rule! Wrestlers can just knee tf outta opponents while they're on top in total control!
@@vegetaking1272 as was showcased here right?

Knees to a downed opponent should be outlawed in all MMA associations!
No, kneeing or kicking downed opponents makes the fight more realistic.
Mybe danny kingad need this man champion
Demetrious is a class act.
Crazy how these guys are in the same weight division.
rocked and put to sleep!!! lol the guy rubbing it in at 8:40
Problem was the rule change from ufc to one fc , also they're a weightclass apart under American mma weight cutting . Anyway that knee is illegal in the unified mma rules Demetrius has faught under for his entire career. Not that he didn't get dropped with a good uppercut but he would have absolutely recovered . Adriano is damn good too tho. rules also make fights along with styles .
Dj hasn't fought in that organization for over five years now keep making excuses all I heard was he would win if he didn't lose
Excuses excuses excuses, he hasn't fought in the ufc for years
Clearly two equal opponents. But Adriano dominated big mouse a Lil bit.
DJ will own that belt before he retires.
He is almost twice the size of DJ. Redicolous.
The announcer cracks me up 🤣
this will make Moraes to shine again
One championship is also high level
Wow! Moraes has very quick movement speed and ko power.
He's like conor. He looks amazing when fighting two weight classes under to dominate. Would love to see him fight guys his own size...
@@DarkOps2442 Bro Conor is 155 at best. He only fought at welterweight arbitrarily. Plus when he was a featherweight it’s not like he was fighting dudes much smaller, just shorter. Here DJ is tiny in comparison.

What a badass sport this is. These 2 are probably the best of the best.
Beautiful payback in the rematch. I didn't know ONE fc allowed knees to a downed opponent. What other different rules are they?
this is the moment dj realized the floor is no longer a safe space.

DJ used the same left knee for the revenge🥵
Apakah boleh menggunakan lutut posisi seperti itu di ONE?
A lot of comments talking about rule sets. I suspect he wasn't thinking about rule sets when he got rocked from that right that put him on his back. The biggest factors as appeared to me was the size and speed of DJs opponent. Equalizing skillsets, this is like watching a UFC heavyweight flatline a light heavyweight as they have the size and power of the heavy weight but somehow also the enhanced speed and reaction of the light heavy weight. I guess I wonder if it's youth and skill or a chemical enhancement. Maybe DJ needs to drop a weight.
