The scoreline doesn't tell the whole story..he doesn't contribute to the build up he gets dispossessed easily and he's way past his prime. His status as one of the best strikers in history is undeniable but right now he's a shadow of his former self. Not to mention barca's system has never really favored a traditional no 9 like him.

Lewandowski did a great job scoring an absolute bullet header but what concerns me more is the tactics that Xavi uses. Just give the ball to wingers and put infinite crosses into the box with hope that one of the crosses is converted (which never happens). There is no creativity in the middle of the park since Frankie de Jong was injured. No way they can challenge for any European trophy while playing like this. 😢

Xavi made the right call by switching Araujo's and Kounde's position. Alaves striker Samu really gave Kounde hard times. Kounde was outpaced and lost to almost every duel. After Araujo took his place, Samu suddenly quiet and no longer a threat.
Right? Idk why Xavi puts Araujo at RB when clearly Kounde is better there and it was one of the main reasons for our clean sheet record last season. No one can beat Araujo 1v1 when he plays as CB.
