  • I've just finished what you've uploaded, and I cannot wait for more! It's refreshing to have someone be so honest and frank about their experience building one of these tank models. Keep the videos coming as well as the great build suggestions.

    • Thank you for watching and your kind words. Sorry to hear about Bella. Trust me, now you have taken the plunge to order one of these, you will not regret it, not only will it will keep you occupied for many, many hours it also provides a tremendous amount of satisfaction and achievement. I too am looking at the M26, but still need to work up the courage to ask the boss :-) I wanted to record my journey on the build through normal eyes. There are so many advanced builds on KZhead, but they seem to glaze over some of the important parts and tend to concentrate on enhancements and after market detailing. Questions like, how does that assembly fit into this assembly? How can this possibly fit on to that? when should I paint this or that? and so on, are just not out there. I am so happy that my videos are helping us novices achieve what we set out to do...Good luck with your M26 build and I will be uploading another video soon...stay in touch, i would love to know how you are getting on. Best regards...Tony

    • @@tonys_workshop thank you Tony, best of luck with the M26 purchase, your common sense approach to building these kits is just what KZhead needed.

    • @@tonys_workshop there was an excellent website that had the entire build process of his Tiger I with very detailed pics and advice on all the problems encountered but the website has disappeared and I’ve been lost without it. There seems to be a lot more “fixes” needed just to assemble these kits. At least in the case of my early production Tiger. Each track link requires around 20 minutes of filing because of the way they were cast. Guess that’s why I’ve only got one sides links all done. ;)

    • @@chrisw8417 Thats what I encountered...lots of videos about enhancements and detailing...not much on the actual kit build. 20mins per link to prep...at 188 links i would have opted for a stiff drink..Armortek have definitely improved this part...I have a track assembly video up soon which shows how easy these are to assemble now... Thanks again for watching and hope the rest of my build interests you also..

  • The nut on the wheel hub is a grease fitting called a Zerk Fitting to grease the wheel barings, they were normally painted Red.

  • think you needed to refill your Voopoo Argus 2 mate, those kits are notorius for burning the coils once liquid gets below 3/4 full lol, all things aside since this is an 8 month old video, well done mate, if I ever come down to Essex I'll buy you a pint at whatever pub you recommend

    • Thanks Tom...I have moved on to a better mod now😀 Mine is a Guinness please and any pub is a good pub in my book🤣

    • Hi Tom..VooPoo Drag 4..Really pleased with it. I should give it up really, but it's better than 20 plus a day.

      @tonys_workshop@tonys_workshop7 ай бұрын
    • @@tonys_workshop the drag 4 is a good kit tbh, ngl I prefer less powerful kits like the H80 but that's only because I'm broke most of the time and I need my liquid to last lmao

      @Half_of_The_World@Half_of_The_World7 ай бұрын
    • 😂 I find that the tank uses a smaller coil so the liquid does tend to last longer...Still cheaper than the old cigs

    • Hi Ray, Thanks for watching and your comments, its very much appreciated...If you can afford it, then go for it....you will not regret it...It is a fantastic way to find the engineer that exists in all of us. Also a great way to pass time when the weather is rotten and the sense of achievement you find at the end of each stage of the build is hard to beat...I hope you do go for it and hope that I continue to inform and interest. If you do decide to go for it and want some advice on what when and how to proceed, please feel free to reach out to me.... Next video up soon...best regards, Tony

    • @@tonys_workshop Like you, looking for something to do in winter weather which is 4-5 months out of the year here in the states. I wish they had more options of vehicles to choose from. You must have gotten one of the last Tiger tanks in their production run. But the Panther G looks nice as well. Good luck with the build, and I will stay tuned.

    • Hi Ray, I also like the Panther G, but they are bring out the M26 Pershing soon and now available to pre-order...I would love to have one of these to build, but I need to convince the Boss first... The good models don't hang around so I was lucky to get one of the last late variant Tigers. Thanks again for your continued support and nice comments.

  • Hey Tony, Love the vids but, can you adjust the volume on the music, so it isn't so loud? I turn it up to hear your voice because it is low, but when you switch to FF with music it's twice as loud. I either have to turn down the volume, or mute until you go back to normal speed or just put on CC.

    • Hi Scott, no problem...I have one more scheduled to go on tomorrow but after that I will get the music volume adjusted. Thanks for continuing to watch and Happy New Year to you.

  • What was the solution you used to clean the parts? You are doing a first class job! I am also thinking about investing in a armoetek kit at 70 plus yrs. Hoping they will release another run of tigers!

    • Hi David, thanks for your comment...I used "HG Paint Preparation Super Cleaner"...It is a harmless solution with no toxic ingredients...I didn't want to use something that could be criticised as harmful to the environment. It worked really well...Hope you do go on to buy another kit...I am really tempted to go for the M26 Pershing. Thanks again for watching and supporting, it is very much appreciated.
