I love how it's still about fishing for you and not just catching. You know what I mean? Willing to try new things, try for new species, new locations, and having fun. Not just trolling the same reservoirs with the same gear and the same baits video adter video and editing out all but the catches. Please don't lose it.

I've always used Carolina rigs but it wasn't till i found your channel long ago and subscribed that i learned that suspended technique with the circle hook, and for that I thank you! I've pulled some nice blues and flatties out of the Ohio river. Keep grinding sir and I'll keep watching!!! Just need to try the stinger now.

Thank you for taking us on yet another great trip. Hope you had a great Christmas. I believe that Big Blue took the fly and bait at the same time as 1 bait he just happened to get the fly in the mouth. Just my opinion we all know most times they eat bigger baits than we expect them to eat. Hope you have a wonderful new year.

New subscriber here. Been lurking for some time. Really appreciate your content. Recently retired and looking forward to kayak catfishing around Knoxville TN. I've never fished from a kayak and at 340 lbs I'm hesitant to purchase, but I know damn well the activity of catfishing burns some serious calories, and can be quite the workout. Looking at the ePDL from Old Town, but it doesn't have spotlock. I might bite the hook and get an AutoPilot 136 from down the street at River Sports Outfitters.

I’d love to go fishing with you sometime! I got a decent kayak and love catfishing, I live in the Nashville/Hendersonville area, I noticed you fish in tn. Best I’ve caught is just a 17.7 blue, would love to learn more about it, I’ve only been fishing for cats for about 8 months. Was a bass fishermen but changed to cats now after the first. So much better!

I made my own bait 5 gallon bucket of beef blood 1 lb of brown sugar one pint of molasses let it clot cut it into small pieces laying out on a toe sack in the sun for about 2 hours works great for Blues here in Oklahoma and they can't get it off the hook

Them hitting the head baits sounds like something they should be doing when it's cold. I've heard of survivalist eating fish heads and the eyeballs for the fat content

Have you ever used just straight up lures as catfish bait? If so, what do you use? Most of the people I keep tabs on including yourself seem to not use lures for catfishing. I have never been big on them although I talked myself into buying a couple last week to use next time im out because of a few factors, along with my usual bait. A top water frog and a multi colored rattling minnow caught my attention for now.
I made several videos last year using jigs and swim baits to catch them
