What’s the best armored/weaponized vehicle to buy in GTA Online? I'm going to cover the advantages and disadvantages of each vehicle, and rank all of them. I have them all on my 1st character & only bought a few of them on my 2nd character. Out of all of them I still use the Armoured Karuma most for doing OG Heists with crew & some Casino Heist preps. Then the Nightshark is my 2nd most used armoured vehicle to push post ops up hills in the MC Sales missions

Yeah, with the zedaph for example, he should have shown how poorly it handles by driving it over some obstacles. The car sounds super good on paper, but we just have to take his word for it that it handles poorly
Basically what I'm thinking. He could've also be factual like literally counting how much RPGs each car can take and how fast the acceleration and top speed by measuring it in kph. He used plenty of unsure words such as "almost", "around", "like" , etc.

I know it's already in S tier, but I'd like to add something about the duke of death that's I find really helpful, and thats the fact that it's so heavy. Sounds like a bad thing, and as he said it doesn't handle like a sports car, but it can push through other vehicles very easily. This makes barricades very ineffective against it as it just looks right through em.
I agree and popping a wheelie can also help get out of certain areas and over unbreakable fences/barriers

David T. i got insurgent pickup and so many people have tried taking me down but it can take so many rockets you can get away. plus if it comes behind you on ground you have the proximity dropping and not to forgot the gun on top

Main vehicle? Armored Kuruma is without a doubt my main vehicle as a car. If I never bought the Oppressor Mk 2 I would still be using the Armored Kuruma right now especially for VIP missions.

Stromberg has one of the best missiles, even better than Oppressors missibles.
For the money though I'd definitely go for the deluxo (tank killer) I'd say best missiles in the game and it flies.
Ruiner, Scramjet, Stromberg, Vigilante and Deluxo have the same missiles. Funny when those youtubers seem to not know bout it.
@N!ck I'd say they're probably the same but for flying/hovering ability over all the others with the same deluxo just takes it for me.

Scramjet can be used to fight Opp mk2s, but only if you know what your doing with it since it have no explosive resistens
Karuna vs Duke: you need one to get around. The Duke protects you from griefers for a couple of attacks, where the Karuna doesn't, but against npcs the Duke isnt great whereas the Karuna is amazing. So for me, I pick my sessions to avoid griefers and I couldn't imagine not having the Karuna.

For the pick up custom , there are a few more features attached to it. 1) If you pay for it , the driver can drop proximity mines which are awesome to destroy any vehicle that is chasing you . 2) With the Light Armor Plating , you can use Explosives and Guns as Driver and Passenger. With Medium Plating only guns and with Heavy the passengers and Drivers cannot use any weapons. 3) I recommend the medium Armor Plating , u can still use guns and the insurgent can survive atleast 20 rockets from the oppressor which is all you really need , the gunner is also protected a decent bit. 4) You can store and use this as a personal vehicle meaning you can use this in heists which is a big plus. All that said it is quite expensive , u will need an moc or avenger for which u will need a facility or bunker respectively so it's not ideal for new players , but still one of the best if you can get it 👍

The M.O.C cab is the ultimate armored vehicle in this game, you’re almost invincible from rockets, not bulletproof for the most part but it takes three flying broomsticks to pose a threat, you can ram traffic all day and you will not take any damage, when im frustrated from the gta online A.I drivers I request the M.O.C and go on a rampage.

Maqsood Hadi Yeah it’s what i said the m.o.c is the most durable, only the orbital canon can one shot the m.o.c, but with the recent patches no one is using the orbital canon to troll randoms, it must be a big fight to force a player to use the orbital canon, no one is gonna waist at least half a million to troll without an important reason.

Stormberg is a S tier vehicle Only because of its homing missiles and a great counter for mk2 oppressors. Also it takes 6 homing decently fast and it can go underwater where u cann hide from enemies. It deserves to be in S tier

For me, the karuma has always been in a tier of its own. It basically makes missions too easy. Its been like a vheat code for years. I even remember being able to use it in the original pacific standard heist if you could get into a specific apartment, then you could drive to the boat and not worry about 4 people on rocket bikes staying alive. So many safe trips in that karuma.
Okay, so for newer players or any players who have trouble fighting NPC's, the armored kuruma is probably the best for you, it sadly can't take any missiles but it is very rare that an NPC will try to blow you up. dying from bullets is very hard as they CAN get through but when they do, it's so rare that you won't notice it. If you want to take missiles the night shark is probably the best, even though in my opinion you shouldn't buy a car for that as it's very rare that someone with an oppressor or RPG won't fire 20 missiles at you just to kill you, if you want to dodge missiles I would recommend airborne vehicles to try and dodge them or find a new lobby. In summary, Kuruma is best for general use, Night shark best for rockets but not really that needed/useful.
If you're taking 20 shots with an RPG I don't think that's the car's fault. Also, oppressors have a limited rocket supply so it's very likely that they'll run out of ammo before you blow up. The nightshark really just increases your chances of survival.
I was in a nightshark the other day and was hit with a buzzard and 3 jets trying to grief me and my vips and it was able to withstand the rockets

Right. People dont understand when your running from rockets you need to be able to punch through traffic.
Yeah same opinion, no vehicle can stop the insurgent while driving. It just rams every vehicle without losing a lot of speed.
Also the car has a lot of grip on the road, more than the kuruma. And yeah it is fast.
It also has mines which you can deploy from the back. Works great against those trying to chase you.

Tbh I like the insurgent more then the nightshark, hear me out!! I had the simple insurgent with no gun, the nightshark and now just today bought the insurgent pickup . I tested all of them and I like the insurgent more because : it Rams into cars better, it can move bigger cars and if it can t move a car for whatever reason it will go over it !! The insurgent pickup can also have proximity mines and also the gun above the insurgent, if you play with a friend Wich I do almost 100% of time is A LOT better then the guns from the nightshark. Also the windows on the insurgent are not bulletproof but the ones on the side doors are smaller then the nightshark windows from the side doors and also the windows from the insurgent are higher then the ones from the nightshark Wich again for me it gave me an advantage . Also the insurgent pickup has over 6 seats for players? So ye. Just an amazing vehicle, I sold my nightshark to buy the insurgent pickup so yeah that pretty much speaks for itself. But the plus side of the kuruma is that is a very good vehicle in missions where u have to use your car and fight NPCs . Gotta give that to the kuruma
The main reason I chose the Insurgent over the Nightshark was because of the ramming ability and the top-mounted machine gun. Which does far more damage than the Nightshark's guns.

In all fairness, the Zhaba has a great in-game description on the homepage. The Armored Kuruma is fantastic, i bought it on a Sale and use it for Headhunter ever since (i´m only lvl60 as of now).
What level are you now (over one year later) ?
@@friendlybarcode-ll7884 I stopped playing at about lvl120 if i remember correctly. Mostly because of the EPIC free game giveaway, suddenly the servers were flooded with noobs and the amount of cheaters skyrocketed. Then, my game kept hanging up when i tried to log in, so i stopped playing.

Been playing like 2 months and I think I a God at it ! Played 1 and 2 gta on Playstation, skipped 3&4,on 5 now and all of it is coming back to me hiding spots ,jumps and I picked 2 of your top vehicles to strat the game ,got my Kosta now and like I said I'm a God at it ,can't beat modders but I hold my own seating 18mil after 2months of play and your vids thanks

Holy shit this is genius
The Speedo custom is also good because the driver can control a mounted gun (you must buy it) at the top which can be upgraded to a .50 minigun, you just need a nightclub to get it and you only need to pay for upgrades.
Insurgent pick up also has mines if you upgrade. There's also the Night Club Van, you can take that out and it's pretty damn sturdy.
Kuruma has 2 big issues, first one is that it is one shot by any sort of explosive. Not that the other vehicles really stand up much better, I've yet to see a vehicle that can withstand a players missle assault. So whether you die in 1 or 4, you're just as dead. The other issue is that it's like riding an exercise ball at high speeds. If you hit anything slightly, clip a rail, you will do a spin in place like you just got blue shelled. If you attempt to ride down a mountain, you will jump, constantly. This thing will not stop bouncing. The amount of control you can have over the Kuruma is so low that you would actually have an easier time directing a blind person to drive where you want on a Bati 801, than you would trying to get there with your own eyes and limbs in the Kuruma. Due to these issues I figured I would buy the Nightshark and upgrade it to be like a better version of the Kuruma. It's not. Still blows up, just tanks a couple hits first. It controls a little better but still not the ideal. It's window protection does not compare. I am constantly getting hit by Headhunter guards. On top of which, this shitty machine gun does not allow you to aim, making it very difficult to hit the targets in the drivers seat. Idk yet if Nightshark can change it's machine gun into something actually useful. However if it cannot then it's trash. A pure tank vehicle that shits on your offensive ability to a point where you can't attack anything that isn't on foot. Looking into Insurgeant or other stuff now but after seeing this video I am losing hope.
My favorite use of the Duke O'Death has been pushing my crew to high speeds when we get post-op van missions. Been very helpful in completing those on time
The cyclone is also very good for tht. Very good acceleration. I tried using the batmoblie (forgot the name) but the boost was too strong. Spins them out

I don't personally think that its the greatest counter to the Mk ll but you can definitely get away. And in order to find the hidden caches you need the sonar which you need to buy from the kosatka. Still a very great, effective, and useful vehicle though, I love mine!

I just want to point out that all of these pros fit with the stromberg except for the boost it carry’s two less people and yes the toreador is slightly faster but if u have the trade price for the stromberg u can get it with a night shark for the price of a toreador
Benefactor Schafter V12 (armored) should be on this list. VERY fast, seats 4, handles quite well, can take multiple rockets (unless they've nerfed it), has semi-bullet proof windows (will absorb some shots, but eventually breaks), is one of the best sounding cars in the game, and it just looks amazing, especially with limo tint windows, brushed black steel (metals finish) with glitched diamond blue pearlescent (pearlescent glitch still works in LS customs, but not in office garage or other specialist garages), and some good off-road tires.
I think this video came out before a lot of the better cars.
For anyone curious the kuruma is on sale for 70% off until this coming Thursday (April 30th). If you've been thinking about getting it or you're a new player that's been grinding the 2x-3x payout missions like me, It's a great time to invest!

From my perspective, as one of the main reasons you are buying these vehicles is probably protection in an open lobby: the pick up custom should be S tier if you have a friend, not only can you put a shield on the gun turret but also takes an astounding amount of rockets when someone is in the car, it will empty out a whole oppressor mk2’s rockets and still be perfectly fine. the stromberg should also be S tier, as unlike other weaponised vehicles (vigilante, deluxo etc) it takes around 5-8 rockets to destroy (cant remember exact but its quite a few) as well as being decently fast and has good lock-on missile tracking, making it amazing to take down oppressor mk2’s and most other vehicles on this list as its 30 rockets will destroy any on this list. dont be fooled by the price tag, apart from being a submarine it has no other special surprises, but for an agile, armoured car with amazing lock on its well worth it. i would personally recommend buying the kuruma, stromberg and the nightshark if you are looking for good protection against most vehicles excluding things like explosive rounds on jets etc. if you often play with friends, the insurgent pick-up would probably be a must-have too. i would also heavily recommend leaving armour plated windows off the nightshark to throw sticky bombs, if your looking for good bullet protection then use the kuruma, as the armour plated windows dont give enough bullet protection to out-weigh being able to throw sticky bombs and use other weapons.

This was really useful seeing as i was thinking about buying the menacer but i would have like to see some game play with the cars
Use the Menacer as a 2ndary vehicle basically all the time. When I'm running resupply missions for warehouses, bunker, or working with my friends and doing their missions it's basically always out and being used. Now granted it's been heavily upgraded armour, mobility and firepower wise in my MOC, so it's much stronger than stock. But as my first armoured vehicle purchase, can't say I complain too much, very happy with it, has yet to let me down. Only thing I have yet to test is against is a tank, but everything else it has survived multiple hits from very well and just shrugs it off like nothing happened. Will most likely stay in my fleet for a long time, or until I get the Insurgent Pickup.

Stromberg is S+ tier (for me at least) just because it can take 1 v 1 with Oppresor Mk2 tryhard and win it, I can't really see other Armored cars that can do that.
The nightshark can too but it takes still so the stromberg is 100% S tier

Not against a good Mk 2 pilot. As long as they keep flying behind you, it'll be too difficult for you to lock on at all. Also, I strongly recommend you avoid using submersible mode in pvp since it's really slow and hard to manouevre under water.
@@UkuleleAversion the stromberg has the 2nd best missiles in the game as they will hit 85% of the time, it can curve to hit the enemy but isn't as accurate as the ruiner, deluxo, scramjet, and vigilante have the same missiles and are the most accurate in the entire game, they will curve at the tightest turns and will keep curving until it hits the target. They hit 98% of the time
That's why i call it anti-opressor.
I have been driving the Nightshark lately. Also the Stromberg too.
I consider the launching capability of the duke o death a huge advantage as it helps get over obstacles and avoid sticky situations.
I'd love to see an update to this for 2022 with the new homing jammers and all the cars that have come out since this (Torreador is S Tier I'm guessing, though the lack of gun armor sucks).
For all of my nightshark fellas DO NOT ADD THE ARMORED WINDOWS they are not bullet proof at all and you lose the abillity to throw sticky bombs which are amazing for killing opressors (Side note this is said in the video but for our bois that go to the comments instantly here you go)

I agree with the placement of every vehicle on the I list. The only thing I can think of you forgot is a con for the Duke. You can only shoot out of the front and passenger side of the vehicle. The Karuma, you can shoot out of it at every angle. Great video man!!! Would love to see more of these!! Very useful!!!

This video is old but still good for the most part. For someone starting as a newbie in the game I do suggest the nightshark... save up for it.

You can kill a player eventually in all these vehicles through a small opening in the window except for the zhaba which you put at last place. You can kill a player with 11 shots through the window in zhaba, but that's way more than the others. I've had the kuruma and still died through that opening if you're too close to the player.
I really like the Menacer because you can Push everyone away and i know it is expensive but i bought it at 1.2 mil so i think Ur was a really Good decision
Julius Reich this is my favorite as well, who cares if it’s slower that others, me and my friend drove around with 5 stars for almost an hour just blowing cops and everyone up and never died, this thing is a beast! And I haven’t done any mods to it yet.I bought this one cuz I was tired of getting killed as soon as I popped out of my garage don’t happen anymore that’s for sure.

I own the duke o death, kuruma, night shark, insurgent, and insurgent pickup, and soon apc, all of them have value in their own ways.
You missed the Armored Schafter and the other SUV from Legendary motorsports. They are the cheapest armored cars (300-400k)

The Custom Insurgent absolutely belongs in S tier. Not only does it have an extremely powerful gun on top that far exceeds the shitty gun on the Nightshark, but you can also drop mines which is especially useful when being chased. The downside is correct, the cost is expensive because you have to get the Mob Op, but that isn't enough to drop it to A. The Nightshark can't even aim, you have to get behind the target and the gun is weak, it's essentially a more tanky Kuruma with a weak gun you'll rarely use. You S tier cars are basically bullet proof cars, two of which will be destroyed by a rocket right away. I mean, you have the Duke o' Death in S tier because it's free, you have the Duke o' Death, above the insurgent mate. You gotta redo this list correctly.

The gun on top of custom Insurgent is basically useless for solo players stop praising it, at least a solo player can use the Nightshark gun and having bullet proof windows protection.

The gun on the Nightshark is absolute garbage, you can't hit anyone if they just move slightly, meanshile they can still aim back at you, hell they can stop quickly, jump out and kill you. The nightshark gun is trash. I get what you're saying though, that atleast driver can use it, but you're better off just shooting your regular gun... Also, I don't know that I praised the insurgent gun so highly for solo. If you're alone, you can't use it at all if you're driving, obiously. However, in heists and other setups, I almost always get somebody that'll jump in the gun making it FAR more fucking useful than the Nightshark. I guarantee in a 1v1 I'd kill you in my insurgent before you could kill me in a nighshark because you can't hit my character, you'd have to rely on blowing up my insurgent and my mines would blow you up before your shit gun could destroy my insurgent, and you'd have to be behind me. SO BOOM BITCH
@@mohammedtahaelfounir3031 No it's not. I play mostly solo and i can get on the gunner seat without any person driving instead of the driver seat. It's possible. Just get on the top of the insurgent pick-up and hold the button/key that you use to enter the vehicle. You probably don't even have a insurgent so you just guess
The Duke o' death I agree with, that thing is amazing
I know it's not armored, but the weaponized tampa is one of the most fun vehicles to have if you have all of the bunker upgrades. It blows up in a single explosive so not so good for pvp, but the top-mounted machine gun has 360 range which the driver can control and is amazing
The night shark has no business being in S tier if the pick up isn’t. The armoured windows are completely aesthetic. You can be shot right through it.

What about the speedo custom! Remote gun on top that the driver can shoot, can take a little explosives, can’t be shot from back, takes a few bullets to get thru other windows, and my favorite aspect is you can call it quickly with the interactions menu if you have a different personal vehicle already active rather than having to call mechanic and scroll thru all your vehicles since it’s a special vehicle

I'd like to see you do a future video where you signiificantly update this. Maybe split the ratings up for Armored but no weapons, and Armor and Weapons, and then rate each one relative to the other ones based on the power of the various weapons they can get.

Stromberg should be S tier since it’s super friendly for new players. The only deterrent is price however, when you purchase the Stromberg, it comes with the best tracking missiles in the game and a lot of explosive resistant armor. You don’t need an MOC or Avenger to buy the missiles nor do you have to research them. So it’s definitely a must buy.

I am so happy the very first armoured car I got was the duke o death and second was the nightsark and they are both in s tier
I prefer the Kuruma over the Duke o' Death because you can shoot in front of you and also behind. Very useful when you need to shoot a driver and also when you have to clean a zone: you run onto people and shoot those who are behind you at the same time. I haven't used the Duke o' Death for a while... About the Stromberg, it's actually good for destroying moving targets when you accidentally destroyed your Mk II or your Buzzard. The non-bulletproof windows are not really a problem if you can missile your enemies before then can shoot at you. You can also use it if you need to loose cops, you just go underwater and wait. Same thing if a griefer is coming at you.
it's a weak advantage but the Paragon R is the only weaponized vehicle that you can go passive in that I've found.
8:38 that's false, if you have any mk2 weapon and special bullets (FMJ i think) it goes through the armored windows like butter. there's also a dead angle on the Windows where you can shoot people Inside with regular weapons. The kuruma is really nice for contact missions but not for free roam and doing missions in public lobbies.

Armored Kuruma and Nightshark, agree 100%. (edit, addons why IMO) Armored Kuruma terrific in supply missions and other tasks like that against NPCs. Nightshark+sticky bombs, good in freeroam against Opressor MkII griefers. Both of these cars, you have to adress their purchasing price and value for that money. Insurgent Pick-up Custom, Stromberg, fully loaded Ruiner 2000 sure, but again if you are in tight budget, cannot go wrong with these!
I don't know if it was commented yet, but one benefit to owning the Insurgent Pick-Up Custom that you forgot is that you can install proximity mines on it from an MOC or Avenger. I love that part of it!
a thing that may sound obsolete but is actually a big difference: the duke o' death has RWD (its a muscle car so thats expectable), but the kuruma has AWD, which really helps accelerating and driving off-road. also the kuruma is completely bulletproof and can seat 4 people instead of the dukes 2. so the kuruma is overall better, but both are pretty much useless against other players.

The duke is good at ramming which I like and take a few explosive damage that can recover me from griefers and I’m a solo player most of the time, usually people that I go with heist has armored vehicles so that I don’t really mind it. Kuruma was like overpowered back in the old online as it was practical, agile, and it was completely bulletproof and I usually use it on heist and missions back then, but for new players since duke is free, I suggest you get that as your new beginner armoured car.

If you have a crew that you like to do heist with often then definitely buy an insurgent pickup custom and fast track research to unlock the 50cal minigun it shreds cars. Most of the window armor is cosmetic however it take a ton of missiles and can drive over most vehicles and with max engine upgrades goes around 100 mph which is pretty good for its size. However on the other hand if you are a soloist and want a weaponized car then a nightshark is a great option although the armored kuruma goes for about 525k with trade price which most people should have seen as you only need to complete the fleeca job for it and it has the most bulletproof windows in the game and you won’t take any damage whatsoever from NPCs however it gets blown up after 1 rocket so don’t get cocky and pick a fight with an opressor mk2, that’s what night sharks and insurgents are for. Also no matter how cool looking or tempting it may be to buy an arena war vehicle, I highly go against it as I had a bad experience with one. I bought a futureshock zr380 and the car was amazing with upgrades, but there lies the problem, with upgrades. To upgrade an arena war vehicle it is extremely expensive and you get carried away and spend way to much. I spent around 6.5 million and it sold for only 2.1 million which is the price of the stock vehicle (the car with 0 upgrades except a terrible scoop)
just bought the nightshark like 4 days ago and its absolutley worth spending the money and its rly fast, the machine guns are rly good to and its very bullet proof
The paragon is amazing i use it all the time and it is fast and easy to kill people with the front machine guns .i almost never get killed in it and i can take 3 opressor mk2 rockets.

Helpful tip; Look at the cars that can be upgraded for the Arena War series that way you have a multipurpose vehicle for the same price as one of the special vehicles listed above. There are some fast muscle cars that can take several missiles after upgrade 🙄👍
We can also add here the MOC cab, yeah it doesn't count as a personal car at to get it it's a little difficult due to it's spawn points. But it can tank up to 3 oppressors, has "bulletproof" windows (15 bullets and done) and completely bulletproof from behind but the main reason I love it it's cause at the minimap it doesn't have a special icon, so you can bait griefers and tryhards with it, go backwards to them and C4 them
the paragon r armored is only obtainable through the casino missions, you can buy the non armored one on legendary motorsports.

1 cool thing about the insurgent with gun is players can add proximity mines through the M.O.C.workshop & players can spawn as many insurgents as they want to garage
9:09 Actually, if you’re talking about the armored version, you cannot buy it at all! The only way for you to get that vehicle is if you complete all six of the casino story missions by hosting them. Yes, you have to have a penthouse, but if you have twitch prime, you can get the penthouse for free. Which means everything is free in that case except for twitch prime which you get from amazon prime to link to your twitch account to link to your rockstar social club account. It sounds harder than it actually is. I set up my twitch prime in about 5 minutes. That’s why I think it should be in a or s tier.

Hey bro, I have a tip for you and your subscribers. If you have the Imponte Duke 'o Death you MUST buy it the offroad tires. If you do hiests with those you are a BEAST with those tires. Imagine just having off road tires and the max upgrade on your engine. NO SUPERCARS can beat you on off road racing.
The stromberg should be B tier. It’s machine gun is explosive and works very effectively. The rockets are also great. It is somewhat bulletproof as the vehicle needs none broken windows to go underwater so is resistant to bullets

@@Electrifize Fully loaded has: -MOC armor (can take 60 rockets) -unlimited homing rockets (the best rockets) -can not be locked onto Note this is a mission vehicle, you use it for 20 minutes through your securoserv menu. After that it has an hour cooldown, it also can not be run if a session wide activity is already running Personal has: -8 homing rockets (the best rockets) -Is a special vehicle (works similar to a personal vehicle but with a two minute cooldown in between each use) That’s it

Insurgent pick-up custom has police spike-proof tires and the gun is extremely powerful if you upgrade it to minigun, the regular one is decently powerful. The person on the top can have loads of protection if you get the armor upgrades, I use this vehicle a ton.
Insurgent is amazing against other vehicles trying to kill you. If you’re on console auto aim you get shredded if you don’t back into people, but against people in free mode in things like oppressors or scramjets. The nightshark is really good against oppressors and I prefer to drive around in it

The armored kuruma is actually not completely bulletproof on the sides, you can get hit but it is pretty uncommon
The first vehicle you showed, the ZHABA appears to be similar to the real world vehicle called SHERP. In the real world SHERPs don't have much purpose either but they are fun toys. They are sometimes used to traverse swamps or wilderness areas that have been partially flooded.
