The fact that Weisselberg wrote down the road map to the crime just shows how comfortable the whole Trump organization was committing crimes.

Astute observation Bronxie! Personally, I have sit in countless corporate meetings with senior level positions that do exactly the same thing. Chuck Knight of Emerson would have been a classic and people had to keep track of the pages he would rip from presentations. This was used as his hard wired follow up. But with Trump this type of shortcut is just one of many smoking guns with the barrels still very hot and still being fired through his rhetoric.
A neighbor is MAGA, but we chat politely and although he defends Trump against the "witch hunt", he had to agree that all rich people cheat and Trump got caught. I suppose this news will be hard to deny. Day by day, step by step, Trump's narcissistic attitude of being Teflon (a New York monster was called the "Teflon Don"... until he died in prison), supplied the evidence.
I don't believe trump was present while that meeting happened, that was a meeting between cohen and weisselberg. During the jan. 6th congressional hearings, 1 of the witnesses recalled a planning session where trump berated an attendee for taking notes. he was big on tearing up documents.
Weisselberg got 10 months. Cohen got 3 years. Trump was the ring leader. He should get 10+ years.
i was reading yesterday that Trump is accused of 31 counts, each count bringing 4 years, but i would be ok with the 10 years 😉

Well then those legal experts are full of it..there is no crime in paying a non disclosure agreement, especially with personal funds. This hack DA brought charges against Trump with an expired misdemeanor, bootstrapped to federal non crime, which the state has no jurisdiction over. The DOJ and FEC declined to prosecute, based on the fact Trump paid with his own funds, not campaign funds.

We all should learn to accept his words as deceitful and devious as they may be but he has the right to voice his opinions. What none of us have is a right to use our words to directly or indirectly injure anothers physically, financially, societal, etc.. As badly as we want this coverage to stop I think it will be allowed to go on with inordinate public funds being spent to try and protect citizens as legally possible. Beyond the laws however is a factor sometimes equally as powerful, and that is public communication. Very few individuals would if they could pay for public communications to equal what Trump is receiving free to espouse his hatred. And really that is what it all is; just hate. He has two modes: hatred and self aggrandizement; that's it. So, perhaps a "free" communique is overtly sharing who in the public's eye supports his hatred and call it as such. If one were to post all those commerical entities in their area who has in some way (wide open interpretations allowed) support Trump and MAGA ideologies it would test the degree to which they will support a criminal. Then the impact of hatred in the public can and should be felt by those who broadcast this culture. The Republicans have no plan whatsoever and have yet to hear one from any Republican. Well, this settles the fact that the misrepresentation was intentional and politically helpful because why else would he pay double the amount he had to to cover for taxes if there wasn't a political motivation for it.
