Rome: _doesn't exist_ Florence: Fine, I'll do it myself.
LMAO
GP: "No, you don't understand. The Romans didn't exist in this timeline." Byzantium: "No, *YOU* don't understand: I don't care!"
Byzantium was greek, and predated the Romans, granted it was tiny before the Romans came along, but still, loop hole 😁
@@GeneralPol That was Byzantion, the city-state. It had neither the name, nor the origins, nor the structure (nor, as you said, the power) of the nation we see in the game. It's not what showed up in EU4. Also, what we call Byzantium wasn't called either name. It was the *KINGDOM OF THE ROMANS.* No loopholes there. 😅
@@GeneralPol nah, that was Byzantion, a small greek city on the edge of Thrace, Byzantium is the latin version of it, no romans=no latin=no Byzantium
@@ATemplarIGuessNot true, though yes, Rome was a main driver of the Latin language, it had already existed for centuries before Rome as we know it formed.
Drinking game: throw back an entire keg every time a mega-campaign starting at imperator ends with the entire middle east being 100% Greek, take a shot for major IRL countries like GBR, France, Germany,or Russia appearing, take a shot for the peace deal making no sense.

The perfect drinking game for maximum alcoholism:
Tusica, the Etruscan Rome replacement, nearly died in EU4, but held on and became a decently powerful German state. was rooting for them the entire game.
Idem
I would say if they were the ones that became the South German Federation they won because the South German Federation was the leader of the faction that controlled the world at the end of hoi4
i don't even know what the fuck im looking at everything is so messed and so difficult to see
Tuscia not Tusica
For a brief period, Venteses was like the Tuscian empire reborn.
So even tho Carthage fell, Tunisia continued it's ambitions and became powerfull Empire in modern era.
Spoilers
I don’t even have to watch the video now! Thanks so much
Carthage survived in Brittany until 1458, ironically the same decade the Roman Empire finally fell in our timeline lol
If only that were true
@@garethmcguinness377 the Carthaginians won by just five years
Watching Imperator: wow this is unrealistically consolidated CK3: hold my beer
CK3, always the spanner in the works
Unrealistically consplidated... Looks at an actual map of the roman empire spanning all the mediteranean sea...
So, the welsh came to Argentina in this timeline too
Must have been meant to be...
You mean "chile", the entire argentine nation was banished to greenland 💀
Funny that even in a world without rome the greeks claim to be roman.
24:04 Hyperborea magically appears in east Russia. We have finally found it Ladies and Gentlemen.
TNO moment.
@@border4851 Ugh no
The key to the persians surviving is taking out Rome... Interesting
Ah yes, the "Persian" (Macedonian) Empire xD
Technically, it was Greek Macedonian Persia so they were not really Persians
and Egypt as well.
technically Seleucid have established Persian Empire, so they survived for ovet 1000 years
ck3 sticks out by being pure chaos, dividing everything into smaller parts, the others seem more driving towards great kingdoms - uniting
So true, but I guess when u think about it, CK3 is focused on building ur family, the others are a out the nation and taking (and keeping) territory
Great Timelapse; this world had a diffrent feel without Rome. I love these Mega Campaigns, keep it up!
Iran become Ariana is coolest alt history. Also colombian comanche war.
The British empire somehow became one of the most powerful nations on earth, while simultaneously being non-existent
its like the HRE
Typical of the british
I’ll be honest, the basque culture in Britain is disgusting levels of alt history. I love it
It's where the Mega Campaigns really shine, things can diverge in crazy ways
Egyptian Australia, dude, not even Arab, straight Egyptian. This is one of the most damned things I've seen.
Argentina in Greenland is beyond comprehension
Wow, did anyone notice Hyperborea in Siberia in HoI4? I wonder how it appeared...
Tunisian Italy, how Aurelian would have wept Great vid bro! keep up the amazing stuff rolling!
Thank you! 😀
I was rooting for Italy in it's odd location through the 1800s, but sadly....
Those were about perfect review sections. Thoroughly enjoyed this. I loved the United State of America i.e. North Carolina.
Thank you 😀
Well... i.e. Colombia. hshshs
I love the idea; thanks for posting it! I guess the lesson is that there always will be a big conquering power coming out of Rome!
Thanks!
9:33 Basque in the glory of Scotland!
How tf did they get there?!?!? 😬😬😬
No Rome game Macedon in EU4: Fine I'll form it myself
Byzantium was a Greek city long before Rome existed, Romans just conquered it and slapped Constantinople on the side
@@GeneralPol Thats Byzantion, not Byzantium, completely different. Also the Byzantine Empire wasn't called that, it was the Eastern Roman Empire, the catholics slapped the Byzantium name to legitimize their HREs claims.
@@akkiaddizone6889 Medieval Catholics did not call it "Byzantium", they usually called it "The Greek Empire" in historical sources. The name Byzantium starts being used in the modern day as historians wanted to make it easier for people to diffentiate medieval Rome form ancient Rome.
So what im getting from this is that if it isn't Rome, it's another Italian city-state, and also that for any empire, "extreme mode" is "survive CK3"
"A World without Rome" *Byzantium get formed* Me : I feel like I got scammed
Byzantium was a Greek city formed before Rome, it was later renamed Constantinople by the Romans, so therefore it can appear without Rome 😃
The Persians we’re doing pretty good stabilizing their empire and keeping it alive in crusaders king. Than The mongols came
Pesky Mongols wrecking peoples stuff!
Seleucid\Macedonian "Persia" xD
Nobody: Absolutely nobody: Muscovy: And why wouldn't we capture a state 5 times bigger than me?
Yeah its in Muscovys DNA to be big, even when they aren't they still think they are
usually in ck3 a lot of empires fall
9:18 Mark how the last bastion of paganism against Christianity in our timeline is the only bastion of Christianity against paganism in this timeline!
Ah funny that!
Why are there never more factions in HOI4? It's too easy for one to win when there's only 1 or 2.
Yeah, i guess the i.a get confused when the Main countries aren't in Game and just execute a minor patrón to every nation, wich make it weird.
Yeah I've seen up to 5 factions, but there are always 2 big ones and any others tend to be quite small
I feel like ck3 ruined everything that was happening in imperator rome
It does have a tendency to do this, cant really mitigate it
The most of Europe praying to hellenic gods to this day is the most based thing i saw in this year.
So, I think I have a solution to Imperator: Rome's snowball effect. In order to make big empires not blob up into even bigger empires, their *stability should be set permanently to zero as soon as they become a Great Power.* That means that they can't declare any additional wars of aggression, and their armies will be too busy trying to quell rebellions within their own empires to defend against would-be invaders.
Their stability can return to normal levels as soon as they lose their Great Power status.
Intriguing idea! Now if there was only a mod for it 😁
I think they should just have civil wars much more often
Dude the romans irl had a way bigger empire than what we normally see in imperator.. its supposed to the 1 major empire having most of the map and normally there is 2-3 big empires..
Wow, such a big work. Enjoyed it.
Cheers!
Canada: located in quebec Quebec: located in canada makes total sense to me! also the two privince US dominated by the natives is really funny
Como olvidar cuando surgió Italia en la península de Crimea.
Cool What about an old-school timelapse to celebrate at day of release or anounce of date of release of vicky3? europa universalis rome - - crusader kings 2 - - europa universalis 3 - - victoria 2 - - hearts of Iron 3

Hmm yes accurate
heyy is there any chance you'd upload the saves from this campaign somewhere? I would love to test some of the scenarios out
When moving between games I use a convertor, that creates a mod. I might still have these, will have to look. Which game are you interested in?
@@GeneralPol thanks for responding! I'd love to have the eu4 and the vic2 ones if possible, but I understand if that's too much to bother
A world without Rome the Byzantines in the 15th century: sup!
Byzantium was a Greek city, before the Romans came along, and so can exist without them!
@@GeneralPol Oh so this would be a Byzantine empire that actually refers to itself as Byzantine
@edgar Cretagne Well thats my headcanon!
Rome: *doesn't exist* Macedon in 1500: Fine, I'll do it myself
But only like Seleucid Iran
Historically Byzantium was formed by the Greeks, later conquered by Rome
@@GeneralPol if i remember correctly, it was city created by Athenians, and was part of athenian cereal trail
Can i get a link to the HOI4 mod please I would love to try a USA campaign.
South Tarim Basin ftw
A world without Rome, how barbaric

Ahh, chola, the only nation aside from Rome that you can play in imperator and Eu4. ( see Madurai and cebu)

a world without Rome .....wait, where byzantine come from?????
Byzantium was a Greek city formed before Rome, it was later renamed Constantinople by the Romans, so it can appear without Rome 😁
@@GeneralPol oh...yah, that's right
A perfect world
maybe no democracy? would be cool to have most countries as monarchies until today
People who do mega campaigns from Imperator up, instantly earn my respect. - I play for a couple hours and I'm close to done! (Imperator, that is.)
they dont play, they just leave it running
@@peponewolfchant I meant as people who do mega campaigns for fun and not primarily for the video. - Easy to confuse though, sorry!

Yeah once they ate Muscovy they where able to form them
I can only imagine 1.5 billion indians being Sol Invictus adherents. What a timeline.... Also the fact that Hyperborea exists is amazing
Imperator- Tuscany
😀
The score system is weird. EU4: "Ming is the greatest power in the world in 1836!" Victoria 2: "Ming isn't even on the list of great powers".
Ming is an unciv in Vicky 2 when you convert with the base settings, uncivs can't be great powers
that ck3 tuscia should have epilepsy warning or something
It would be fun if russian AI made Third Rome
It would have been!

I don't really like those timelapse that include imperator romeor at least, the converter seem to be not so good. Also HOI 3 generally don't translate well games that runs down to CK3 and even less to IR.
Man, I was so happy when Macedon formed Byzantine and started to expand. And then they died T.T
So close to greatness...
Ukraine forming the Russian empire is interesting considering today's political climate
It's interesting even considering history of Ukraine (which was basically Ukrainians trying not to be associated with Russia for 600 years)
Werent the Ukranians the original founders of Rus anyways?
@@emylily8266 No, not in the territory of modern Ukraine, but in the territory of modern Novgorod, who then captured Kiev, and made it his capital. This state is the ancestor of modern Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, and these peoples have a lot in common. And the resurrection of this state would be inevitable, and no matter who united it, the principality of Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, they would most likely take the Word Rus, Russia( "Russia" is "Rus" in Greek, the Moscow Principality wanted to consider itself the third Rome, and took the Greek version of the word.) . Here the story is similar to the history of the creation of the German Empire, and in this megacompany Russia appeared exactly like this.
@@emylily8266 No, Putin was.
@@leonid707 They started doing it only around 1900s. Before that people who lived in modern Ukraine area were just changing sides between Russia and Poland.
One of the ugliest megacampaign timelapses hands down xd
Why thank you :)
No rome the bad ending
Since they dont finish imperator why not add a time period to ck3. U can easily mod it into a early age game. The way the game plays actually makes it not unnatural to the game to be in a different timeperiod. As in it wont look weird. Unlike if ud change hoi4 into a medieval game wich would just not work imo
idk how the Anglians survived after multiple collapses but whatever
