“The reason why the Soviet army was so feared by the West for all those years, was because Ukraine was part of the Soviet army. So you don’t want to mess with Ukraine. We kept that a secret of course”.

  • As an American with a memory, I wish media would talk more about how we negotiated with Ukraine to get rid of their nukes. They agreed. They deserve full protection and I'm stunned they aren't in the U.N. Slava Ukraine

    • Appreciate you saying that. As a Canadian, I have been following him since early days and enjoying his blistering humour, worldly perspectives, occasional political rants and satirical commentary (which we Canadians love) and thoughtful insights through various styles like hands-on reports, eg. the picking apart of an anonymous invading drone to find out what components it was made of to determine its origins and gain intelligence, allowed for showing the fascinating work of his colleagues going on behind the scenes. And some of the humanistic charitable work we need to be seeing more of in the world in his handing out of goods and cash to elderly folks ravaged by the invaders. Always something fascinating and with the highest levels of integrity with Op. Starsky. Great interview!

    • @@wai828 OK, I tell you what you was told by CNN and similar media: here is my message for you, which you are going to believe much more: Russia is weak, Russia is poor, Russia´s GDP is the same as Italy´s GDP. russia is going to collapse economicaly due to sancions(not EU itself) If Russia should ever send their nukes, those nukes would not work or would explode somewhere inside Russia. Sanctions will harm Russia, not EU. Putin has cancer. Russia blew up Nord Stream(not USA). Russia blew up their bridge in Crymea(not Ukraine). Russia is not supported by any country on this planet and therefore is isolated completely by EU and USA. Putin is a dictator and he has no supporters , let alone over 80% in Russia. There are no Nazis inside Ukraine. If Ukraine would become a NATO member one day, than USA would never bring nuclear weapons in to Ukraine near to Moscow…:) Russia´s hypersonic missilles are not real and therefore USA´s aircraft carriers could be used against Russia and would not be just sitting ducks for Russain military. Russia´s new extraordinary hypersonic missilles are just fake news. Russia has no Poseidon 100 mgt nuclear robotic torpedos, Russia has no SATAN II rockets, it means it is not true, that one of those rockets could destroy Great Britain or whole Texas.

    • @@mirekslechta7161 Wow, what a meltdown ! 🤣You have a hard time dealing with people contradicting you, right? Some of what you say is either factually correct (example: Russia is weak and poor) or likely to be true (example: Russia blew up Nord Stream), the rest is strawmen. The US definitely should consider bringing nuclear weapons to Ukraine once this war is over, assuming Ukrainians agree, obviously. At the very least, the US should ask Ukraine permission to build American bases. We don't want Russia to start another pointless invasion.

IMHO, Kiev would look like Stalingrad, should there be a battle for that city. Russia´s POV on this war is this: The U.S. armed western Ukrainian right wing nationalists who engaged the coup, removed a democratically elected president, took over the government, then attacked Donbass for 8 years. This is the true invasion. After the escalation on the Donbass and Russian border, Russia entered to shield Donbass and secure its borders.
