  • By now, you have realized that Dimash's "Ave Maria" is not what most people expect. This music was composed specifically for Dimash by Igor Krutoy....a famous Russian composer who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. Dimash asked Maestro Krutoy to write an "Ave Maria" that could be appreciated by all people in the world, regardless of religion. Hence no lyrics. Krutoy's "Ave Maria" has been compared more to Caccini's than to the Schubert version most of us know and love. Thank you for your reaction to this truly glorious song.

    • @@pigskinpoetry Dimash phoned Igor Krutoy at the beginning of the weekend asking him to write an Ave Maria specifically for his vocals. Igor had nothing else planned so wrote this over the weekend and sent it to Dimash for him to make any changes he thought fitting. Normally they will go back and forth until a piece is exactly right but this time Dimash said it was perfect and just what he wanted. A recent Instagram post of this song with Dimash and the Serbian cellist Stephan Hauser has just reached 11 million views in just over 3 weeks.

  • Not sure if you've heard of Adam Lambert. I believe he's currently singing with Queen. He also has great stage presence & a powerful voice. He has quite a range also, although you'd have to find one of his songs where he sings softly & in high range. He's a belter. Olimpico by Dimash is more operatic & he visits his lower range more. It's fantastic. Thank you so much sir, for your heartfelt reactions to Dimash. Yes, I believe that he uses no words so that the purity of his voice can reach us. He's an angel. Oh. Another beautiful voice is that of Hayley Westenra. She sings Pie Jesu, live in New Zealand. She's aged 15 there. She also sings like an angel.

  • Although over 600 Ave Marias have been written throughout history, the best known version (which wasn't originally called Ave Maria) has been appropriated by the catholic church. Thanks to a Muslim artist singing music written by a Jewish composer this beautiful piece of music has become accessible to all.

  • This is as close as you're ever going to hear on earth what the angels sound like in heaven. If you don't believe in heaven, then this is what you'll be missing! I told my daughter that I want this video played at my funeral. (Hopefully many years from now!!!) This is a take on a Christian classic written by a Russian Jew and sung by a Muslim man. The lack of lyrics shows that music can give you a spiritual experience regardless of your faith. This always brings tears to my eyes. Truly a talent given by God and honed by a lot of very hard work.

  • Dimash is just great, isn't he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy (the gentleman at the piano) composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more. Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to. Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians. He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury. Igor Krutoy is a famous Russian-Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter. He came out of retirement specifically to work with Dimash when he first heard him. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range (no kidding), like Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You'll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. If Igor Krutoy is there, the song was also written by him. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It's more of a father-son relationship. You also have to react to one of his most awesome songs. Stranger: kzhead.info/sun/n6qscpmAjaCjhnk/bejne.html Here you can hear a large of fhis vocal range, as well as an incredibly awesome Kazakh instrument, the Kobys. The man who often is playing the kobys in Dimash’s performance is the best on this instrument and a good friend of Dimash. His name is Olzhas Qurmanbek. Stranger is another masterpiece Igor Krutoy wrote especially for Dimash's vocal skills. Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

Hence, the choice of singing with no constraints of any lyrics but singing in only sounds and frequencies...so so amazingly beautiful and spiritual❣❣❣

But the biggest surprise is, Dimash manages to tell a whole story without a single word about Maria, the rise, the fall, the sadness and the sacrifice. They are all in the way he sings it.

  • “Ave Maria” is a variation adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore only the three opening notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note. At the end, the advanced vocal technique: “Messa Di Voce “ (from Italian Bel Canto technique) at the last note sustained 15 seconds on the note C6 . Swell, increase and decrease the volume but don’t change the pitch, it is extremely difficult and only pro vocalists with years of training can do it.

  • 👉 Just a few notes and Dimash's voice... and people all over the world melt away. An angel does not need words to convey his message... Everyone understands! I have never heard anything more beautiful. This is a magical new classic masterpiece that people are sure to hear in 300 years. For Christians, Mary is the Mother of God. But Mary is also revered in other religions: in Judaism she is considered the greatest daughter of the people, in Islam she is the mother of the prophet (not God's son) Jesus. The Ave Maria (Eng.: Hail Mary) is one of the most commonly said prayers in Christianity. A Muslim and a Jew created a new grandiose masterpiece. It needs no words and therefore a prayer for all people in this world... breathtaking, touching and simply beautiful. When Dimash asked Master Krutoy to compose a new Ave Maria for him, he imagined an angel... Dimash said in an interview... and the two are overearthly wonderful. I'm lost for words. For me, Dimash is the difference between the music business and true art. Over the past 15 years, the soprano and producer Andrea Chudak has collected over 200 compositions 'Ave Maria' from all eras of music history. A compilation of 68 selected 'Ave Maria' versions gives 'a striking overview of a repertoire that can hardly be grasped in its entirety', says Andrea Chudak. 'From Gregorian chant to arrangements of successful folk songs, to occasional works by composers who have been successful in other genres, and contemporary pieces..."(operetta-researchcenter) Wow, 68 Ave Maria settings from 7 eras... but now 69! I mean, this song is on the same high level as Schubert's or Vavilov's (Caccini's) Ave Maria... also beyond all spirituality, just wonderful music. * Igor Krutoy ( piano), *1954 in Ukraine SSR. He lives and works in Moscow/Russia. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family lives in the US. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship. Maestro Igor Krutoy shared the story of the creation of the work 'Ave Maria' for Dimash. When writing a hit, Krutoy is guided by the Italian principle: every composer is worth exactly what his latest work is worth, which means that all previous successes and achievements do not count. “On one of the nights, about three months before New Wave, Dimash called and asked if I could write 'Ave Maria' for him and he explained that he wanted to sing something in that style... Coincidentally, I had a spare evening, and I happily sat down at the piano and, inspired by the memory of the Italian formula of responsibility, worked until I achieved the desired result. It took me a few days to 'let' the composition 'lay' in my ears, soul and heart, and sent it to Dimash, who replied literally within half an hour that: ‘This is exactly what I wanted to hear', said Krutoy. It is not without reason that his friend and teacher, the maestro Igor Krutoj, predicts: “Believe me, in the future the world will be at Dimash’s feet.” (www) * Dimash and Stepan Hauser - Ave Maria - kzhead.info/sun/p66eZ5uubpaggY0/bejne.html You should watch a video of a world class ice skater from Russia dancing to Ave Maria sung by Dimash: * Anna Shcherbakova ice dancing to - Ave Maria - Europeans 2022 - kzhead.info/sun/m8Vrobx7o5uXm58/bejne.html * Dimash as a vlogger. • Dimash is truly incredible and totally unique. Someone else you should definitely react to is 19 year old Lucy Thomas from the UK. She has one the most beautiful voices ever, she has also just released her 5th studio album. I can recommend her cover of the Barbara Streisand song "Evergreen" or her new video for Xmas "Mary Did You Know?" This is an amazing duet with her 14 year old sister Martha and I guarantee you'll be impressed as both young ladies are world class.

  • If I'm not mistaken, this “Ave Maria” by composer and conductor Igor Krutoy is a work in vocalize format, completely unpublished, although it seems to be a variation of the initial theme (not the introduction but the singing part) of the melody by Schubert adapted to Dimash's voice in order to explore just as three initial notes and changing the fourth note to a higher note (From B4, A4 D#4 C#4 and B4 to G#4, G4, G4, D#5): Like a leap from "dark to light" which is the same contrast as Dimash's outfit (from dark to light)! It also seems to refer to the Russian V. Vavilov's version of "Ave Maria" (wrongly credited to Caccine) and work by JS Bach - Prelude No. 1 in C major, BWV 846, with arrangements by Gounod, which Maetro Igor Krutoy has a predilection for!

    • Thanks for some of the specifics. This version seems so unique, it could almost be a new song completly, and not connected to Ave Maria at all.

  • Check out “El Amor En Ti”, a very special song Dimash composed for his Spanish speaking dears. Other GREAT songs are any of his collaborations with famed Russian composer Igor Krutoy, who came out of retirement to work with Dimash. Mr. Krutoy saw Dimash perform the beautiful song “Sinful Passion” (he is shown on the video of that standing and clapping), and it was then, we’ve been told, that he decided to come out of retirement. Dimash is a one in a lifetime talent. Seems a bit supernatural! I’ve never really listened to music in languages I don’t speak, and I’ve never been fond of the operatic style of songs. This is not the case with Dimash. Whatever he is singing is my genre! I’m a 66 year old retired teacher grandma dear, and I’ve never reacted to another performer as I do to Dimash. He is absolutely incredible! And, of course, it’s impossible to know for sure, but he seems so kind and humble in interviews and such.

  • You might enjoy Zhou Shen singing Dalabengba. If you do react, he is taking the parts of 5 different characters in the song. The storyteller, the king, the hero, the dragon, and the princess. I look at Dimash as angelic, and Zhou (sounds like Joe) as magical. They are on a compatible level of amazing.

  • You are missing two "great performances that are somehow "cpmpulsory" in his repertoire: next time you can react to these videos of his signature songs with english subtitles, good image and sound: * Dimash - Greshnaya strast (Sinful passion) by A'Studio kzhead.info/sun/ip1_nKiFeqFuf40/bejne.html * Dimash - Love is like a dream (Alla Pugacheva) kzhead.info/sun/q7B-gd6eqIGVn2g/bejne.html The traditional Ave Maria /ˈa.ve maˈri.a/ means "All Hail Mary" and it is a prayer to Maria the mother of Jesus for the Catholic Church. It is not ONE song: many composers used that prayer as lyrics for their compositions Most people thought this would be the traditional prayer but this is not the Franz Schubert´s Ave Maria, on Bach/Gounod´s, or Michael Lorenc´s or Ave Maria di Caccini. I know them well because I used to play them when I studied to play the piano. His singing this being a muslim in a country where there are almost no Christians would be completely misunderstood. Dimash did a new one composed by Igor Krutoy and I guess that it started to take form from that featuring in "Love is like a dream. It has not lyrics, it is magic using only one vowel and impressing on it the feeling of that prayer.
