  • I love pet strollers. I used to pick up my daughter from her classroom and no one knew our Pomeranian Moggie was in it. My daughter loved when I picked her up and her best bud was waiting for her. also, hysterical funny when people would want to look inside to see the “baby” and there sat a spoiled dog. Lol. BTW, he refuses to walk on a leash. Tried everything. Nope. Stroller works better. 😆

  • The stroller looked the best. Training her for a harness would still be good as a second means of keeping her safe in case she does figure out how to get out of the stroller. Do you know anyone who may be able to design a Raccoon Harness? That may be interesting for other Raccoon Parents.

    • Yes we are definitely still going to work with her with the harness! And I dont think anyone would make a raccoon harness to sell only because there's not a big enough market for them

    • @@TitoTheRaccoon plus it can take several harnesses for the first year and a half due to their growth rate. We buy one that is big enough to go around their stomach and then we cut the front neck and leg portions down and re sew them. We like the click latches for ease of putting it on and off. Some require additional rear leg loops to keep them from squirming out. But as I said in the beginning, you need to start when they are babies, by the time they are 6 months old it’s almost too late to try to put one on them. Oh one last tip, the latches need to be on the top side/ not the belly side or they will just use their hands to undo them in a prompt manner

  • 3:08 I'm sorry, the cat pushing the stroller had me bursting into laughter. I had a feeling stroller would win this. It's got a lot of room and honestly the backpack I feel is good for some stuff, like just getting the cat from point a to point b. Like taking them to the vet or the pet store to get treats. Like it would be good for using a car and not use a huge carrier. For an actual walk the stroller is a much better idea as they have room.

  • We make our harnesses ourselves. It’s best to get a collar/ harness on them when they are young so they get used to them early on and are less fussy with them later on. Walking them with their attention deficit disorder is very interesting as they want to explore/ dig everything they see. Plus they decide which way they want to go so it takes a lot of patience. We are also the “safe tree” when they get scared when out in public so be prepared for the sudden claw climb to safety on your shoulder.

    @danfarris135@danfarris1353 жыл бұрын
    • ADD🥰 so true. I don't have to use a harness, but that means attractive trees everywhere are about to be explored! And sometimes it can be a long time exploration.....

  • If the zipper to stroller has 2 zippers, Just tie a bread tie to both zippers together. And if she somehow gets the zippers apart, just use a zip tie to tie them together and cut zip tie off when you get home or wherever you're going. They cost a couple bucks for like 50 of them. Definitely worth it

  • I walk mine on a leash with a harness use harness's designed for cats. Neither of mine care but spend more time climbing up my leg and sitting on my shoulder vs actually walking. The harness I use fits over their legs and has a buckle on the back so you don't have to put their head in a hole.

  • I have pet rats and I'd love to put some of them on a leash and a harness and take walks together, just let them explore them some nice places while safely beeing in human range. (some of them wouldn't feel comfortable outside, but some enjoy) But their body doesn't fit any harnesses that are sold. I love their tiny legs and feet and cute faces and ears, but they make them totally unwalkable.

    @Local_Dictator@Local_Dictator3 жыл бұрын
    • There are a few raccoon breeders. But they won't supply a raccoon if you cant prove if you live in a raccoon friendly state. Most us states forbid raccoons as pets, so taking your sick or dying raccoon to the vet in a state that forbids domesticated raccoons is a no no. Raccoons are also wild animals, so they dont know how to control themselves. Having children around raccoons is very dangerous for the child, since the child could do something that'll piss them off. Raccoons also naturally like exploring, learning, and figuring stuff out. So having a home for them that prevents them from escaping, and understanding that raccoons dont care about your property or boundries is important. And taking raccoons out of the wild at a young age is bad for them if you end up giving up and abandoning them or if they escape. I recommend looking up online for resources for taking care of a raccoon. They are not easy pets. They're cool, but they are not for everyone.

    • @@Local_Dictator my priority is laying out the negatives. I dont want a raccoon to go into the hands of someone who doesnt want to understand them and doesnt have enough patience for them. I love raccoons, so I dont want them get hurt. I know on the news a few months ago, a women let her kid alone with their raccoon and the raccoon got aggressive and mauled the kid. I feel bad for the kid, but you cant do that to a raccoon. Most of them are pretty chill, but leaving your kid alone with them is irresponsible. Thank you for reading my reply though, just food fir thought
