Ukraine has taken out a brand-new Yastreb-AV counterbattery radar system, according to Kyiv, just hours after Moscow said it had deployed one of the artillery-seeking systems in the war-torn country.
Meanwhile, Warriors of a unit of the Ukrainian special operation forces discovered and destroyed the Russian Buk-M2 anti-aircraft missile system in the Donetsk direction. The Special Operations Forces report this on Facebook.
It successfully detected one himars launch.
Now there's some bang for your bucks

Vitaly Shumey was seriously injured as a result of a mine-explosive injury and skull fractures during the battle in Donetsk region in August 2022. After numerous operations and treatment in Ukraine, he went to inpatient treatment in Spain, after which he returned to Ukraine for rehabilitation. Despite the fact that the conclusion of the Military Medical Commission recognized him as severely wounded and unfit for military service, he did not receive the status of disabled. Also, the veteran did not receive a salary during treatment abroad due to the lack of a military order

Lots of orders for Russian weapons have been canceled because of this war Russia started to steal more Ukrainian territory. The sales of Bayractar drones and HIMARS, on the other hand have went through the roof.
It looks like the Russian system detected the HIMARS manually. Too bad for the Russians, it only detects & destroys one missile. (Sort of like "Any ship can be a mine detector. Once.")

@@johncogan8689yeah. I wonder what that actually accomplishes.
Strange to see that military actions are reported on Facebook.
Well it found one HYMARS.
I can't figure out how the Russians think parking high value targets out in the open in broad daylight is a good idea. I mean, no kind of camo or concealment... even parking near bushes would be better than this.
You and me both. Ukraine literally found this thing by sending drones along major roads looking for it! I don’t understand… if you can’t hide it then why didn’t they send protective escorts with it? It seems like they were just driving it openly along the roads in broad daylight without protective escorts.
They didn't even arrive at the target location yet. US intelligence discovered when and where it will be entering Ukraine and passed the Intel on to Ukraine. Ukraine then sent drones and Himars to that area and scouted for it until they found it. They then destroyed it before it reached it's destination.
I did 6 years in the US Navy so I don't know alot about ground combat but I'm guessing that it needs an unobstructed area in which to track the trajectory and pinpoint the location of an artillery launch. I could be totally wrong on that but I'm willing to wager that Ukraine got a tipoff from NATO satellite recon operations that Russia was deploying this high dollar piece and they knew the approximate location then sent a recon drone to pinpoint it and blink the coordinates to the HIMARS operator. The rest is, as they say, history. If anyone else knows for sure how this thing works please feel free to fill us in and correct me if I'm wrong.
Overconfidence because is a super weapon and nothing “can touch it “?
@@JamesStreet-tp1vb I would say that the Russians need to rethink their strategies, but this sort of thing has been going on since the start. As you said, no protection whatsoever.
250 million on papers on the boss’s desk in reality a maximum of 100 million. God bless Russian corruption.
I guess I'm missing context here. WHY would the enemy PUBLICLY ANNOUNCE they are deploying a high-end tracking system, thus alerting their enemies that they need to seek it out and destroy it ASAP? Oh, well. Good work, Ukranian forces. Hopefully Russia will keep informing you of the presence of high-priority targets. Subscribed.
Because russians are not smart
This robot needs to go back to school 😂
There’s nothing about this war that makes strategic sense. Drones flying everywhere undetected, almost the entire battlefield on flat farmland with no cover. I’m not sure either side want this to end.
As drones become far more numerous, and get better onboard weapons and AI, being anywhere near the front lines in a vehicle is going to be completely unsurvivable.
How thoughtful of Russia to announce the presence of the missile system to the world! Now they know if they send another one to Ukraine, it will be gone in a few minutes.
Russians need something to report in order to make them feel better. That doesn't make it true.
It did stop the missile... With the forehead
Awesome detection machine. Not only did it track the Himars it also took it to protect other vehicles.

American weapons have always been used against armies with less technical capacity (Vietnam, Afghanistan, Iraq). Now in Ukraine they are being used against the Russian army which was historically the army to beat. America has with Ukrainians the best soldiers in the world for use US weapons.
Sorry, but Ukrainian soldiers are not even close to the best in the world. Get your head checked by a doctor.
Now in Ukraine, American weapons are used against the Russian army, which has always been one of the best armies in the world. America, represented by the Ukrainian Nazis, has the worst soldiers in the world, who showed how bad American weapons can be.

I have a hardly understanding why good people can't unite and take action while terrorists unite with evil?
Because good people think about “sunhat” but bad ones think about helmets. Good people express concerns but bad ones just act. Iran provided thousands of drones to Russia, North Korea a million of shells and other munition while “west” was thinking about providing 4 tanks to Ukraine. When Ukraine falls then West would start thinking about sending NATO men to tranches. Maybe it would trigger much more unity
@@RealFaceOfRussia I sign under these sentences like i wrote them.👍👍

Too bad Metal Storm went out of business. Seemed like a great technology.
Even in WOT (world of tanks) we move artillery after every shot!
The problem with CB radar is the fact the instant you start emitting RF, you become the target.
SACLOS sounds like a workaround, what do you think?
What’s really hilarious is all of Russia’s newest gen weapons work off 4G or 5G and when they invaded the first thing the military did was destroy Ukraines cellular towers 😂 they really are that incompetent. When that happened I thought for sure it was BS & that they couldn’t possibly be that stupid but here we are… What’s even worse is when the fighting got stiff Russia abandoned a lot of those systems, bc they were useless, so Ukraine captured them & sent them to the United States. Some of the weapons were brand spanking new & developed specifically for invading Ukraine.
Just like the air launched HARM missile, right?
No one told the radar operators that their radar system was single-use.
“Russia. We are over here. Catch”! Russia: “What”?
The amount of splicing, editing, unrelated footage, stock footage, robot voiced, and on top of that censoring a empty vehicle explosion is a bit too much for me.

Green grass in January? Seriously?
Aside from the system itself, there are costs associated with the crew. It's not cheap training crew for systems like this, plus technologically skilled personnel tend to be scarce. After conscription, roughly a million young Russians escaped the country and these were primarily software developers, engineers and other technological people; the same types of people they need to operate these radars. And while I'd expect the Russians would take pains to put their smartest people on these systems, there is evidence that the demand for bodies has caused them to deploy even skilled workers into frontal assault meat grinders. Conversely Ukraine is doing much better allocating resources, keeping their people alive and maintaining high morale. It should be noted that Kyiv was a major software development center pre war so there is a lot of talent to be found.
You live outside of reality. About 300 thousand people left Russia, of which 100 thousand were only men. These are, as a rule, young people under 27 years of age who are not military specialists. People working at military installations and military factories do not have the right to travel to other countries for 10 years; a special document is signed about this when applying for a job, so your hope that “big” specialists will flee Russia is in vain. On the contrary, the population of Ukraine dropped from 50 million to 25 million in the first months of the confrontation. I don’t know if this information reaches you, but in Ukraine they don’t value people at all, launching them into bloody offensives. Russia has irretrievable losses of 100 people per day, Ukraine - 800. Now there is a new law in Ukraine, women and disabled people are being dragged into the army. The 12th wave of mobilization is coming in Ukraine. They simply don't show you the real state of the situation in Ukraine. Just think, in Russia there was only one wave of mobilization - 300,000 people, and Russia is still fighting with this composition. Before the offensive, Ukraine had a reserve of 500,000 people. The offensive failed. There is no mobilization in Russia, but the twelfth wave of mobilization is being prepared in Ukraine. This is reality. So ask yourself how the Ukrainian leadership takes care of its soldiers. When Zelenskiy shouts “only forward” and Defense Minister Zaluzhny says “only defense will save us.” Ukrainian politicians throw soldiers to their death in order to continue to rule the country.
@@TopMusic-rf3mtYou're lying bot In the Russian Federation, mobilization has been going on since September 21, 2022

Yes, but we heard this quite a lot in the past, before the war started: - that the Russian tech is invincible - that Russian soldiers are immortal - that Russian missiles cannot be shot down and there is no anti-missile defence system that can protect against the Russian missiles - that Russian military is the best in the world and nobody can stand against them. Meanwhile, after 2 years, we find out that Russian tanks are capable of flying... after meeting a Javelin rocket. That Russian warships have the capability to transform in submarines... after intercepting Neptune missiles. That Russian soldiers have the capability to disappear... but never reappear. That the greatest midget (dwarf) in the world is living at the Kremlin.

I haven't fully understood the free worlds response to Ukraine; "You can defend yourselves within your border." is like entering a boxing match (one that you never really signed up for) and being told you may not strike the other person, just deflect blows and wait until they exhaust themselves and fall over. That is ridiculous but I guess that is the power of Nuclear deterrents. The international agreement and expectations should be that any agressor risks loosing it all if they want to start a "special military operation" more widely known as a war. If that was the case then I'm pretty sure that deters many agressors since the gamble is very large. I don't see it as morally wrong if Ukraine were to push the frontline well into Russia and take a certain amount that correlates to war reperations - the citizens would be under foreign occupation, I know, but they would certainly be better off under Ukraine than under Russia. The only group of people Russia takes care of are the Moscovites and St. Petersburgans as seen in the draft numbers. They were under 1% while most others were from "rebellious" regions to both fight a war and cull any groups that don't like being opressed by Moskva. It is like saying you can mug anyone on the street but if they resist and fight back then that is morally wrong on behalf of the mugged.... and thereby giving any aggressor no reprecussions to poke and prod any borders and start wars.
