The writing in this game is such a mixed bag. The Squad themselves are well written, with some good dialogue and actually funny jokes, but the overall story is pretty poor, especially just leaving the ending so open in service of the, uh, live service elements

The dialogue is just the same generic MCU-style of banter and quips from 10 years ago except it's been played out and overdone at this point. This game DESPERATELY wants to ape the wriitng of the GOTG, so damn bad
That sums up why only 13k played on PC and went down to 6 then to 3k. Avengers on 1st day had over 30k. Looter shooter games were always boring and awful. They never lasted like GTAO, Baldur's Gate 3 and Palworld. Nothing much to do than repetitive same mission storylines and empty map.
Love how brainiac says “thought we’d try something a bit different” before turning into a reuse purple flash boss fight. Season 1 with the giant purple fear toxin brainiac finna be lit, fellas.

I've played the game for 50 hours and now I notice something interesting: When Brainiac saw Lex 2, he was very surprised and said: "You? ! ", and then Lex made some intriguing expressions. First of all, the story is definitely not over yet, and secondly, I suspect that Lex 2 is Brainiac in disguise.
He also does say 13 Brainiacs, despite the Squad supposedly already killing the one in front of them.
Or he just said it because he's surprised he's still alive, he did destroy his entire world after all.

It may be questionable what Rocksteady did by killing the one who started this entire universe 🤦♂️. BUT what they did by honoring Asylum, City and Knight in various parts of the game is beautiful and fine and Lois Lane's message hurt me a lot since Kevin Conroy is the definitive Batman, he is a hero for everyone and the one of our childhoods. Why isn’t this game Batman: Arkham Beyond? I’d love to play that game, a sequel to Arkham Knight with nightwing taking the cowl and becoming the Batman Beyond. I feel like that is what we should’ve gotten instead. And to be fair to Kill the Justice League game It’s not that bad, but I feel like they could’ve done more with the ArkhamVerse.
Ever since the conclusion of the Batman Arkham series and the introduction of the multiverse concept, I can't help but envision an Owlman Arkham game. Picture yourself as Batman, but a malevolent version, prowling through Gotham City, eliminating anyone who crosses your path. With Kevin Conroy no longer in the picture, this could mark the start of a remarkable new chapter, akin to the legendary Batman Arkham Saga.

I'm hoping one of the Brainiacs can do what The Emperor from House of the Dead 2 does and transforms into all of the League. KTJL is an alright game. The engine is the same as Knight but adjusted for co-op. I hope the newer characters that are added are more unique. But more importantly, I hope that Rocksteady Studios don't get canned by WB or worse, give up on the Arkhamverse because so-called fans keep hurtling abuse at them.
I prefer this over Gotham Knights after all. Gameplay for both are terrible though. Thank you Kevin for all those memories you helped build in so many of us. You truly were the greatest Batman.

Well, that was a game. What a way to conclude such mediocrity with an abrupt ending and bland credits that only promises more live service nonsense. This game should've been better. Even with the title, the premise had promise. But Warner Bros interfered with their demand for looter shooters and new writers were installed to input their anti-superhero power fantasies. And what we got was a game that, while visually stunning, mechanically solid, and features some charm, is chockful of meanspiritness and dull gameplay. This may not be among the worst comic book-based video games I've experienced (I even enjoyed certain elements), but it's definitely a disappointment and disservice to both Rocksteady and the Arkham franchise.

What a terrible game this is. It was not made by game developers who had a love of the craft, like the Arkham games. This was thought up by studio executives looking to cash in on that Suicide Squad movie a few years back, only the game got stuck in development hell. Only something as vapid and sterile as this game could've been thought up by suits. It's unfortunate Warner Bros doesn't realize that NOBODY CARES about the Suicide Squad! It was a stupid idea in the first place. This game was a stupid idea by stupid people for even more stupid people to play.
