  • Jake from GNF here, such an insane match with dexterity they showed off insane heart and are top tier athletes. Congratulations to them love watching them play. For the people saying throwing laine in at the sudden death was a bad call, you may be right but he was all we had at that moment. We couldn’t play Adam due to a injury that we later learned was a broken foot, so it left us down to 4 players and myself not being able to contribute due to my hamstrings giving out in our Nocap match.

    @nerfthedeer@nerfthedeer Жыл бұрын
    • I can understand that gnf didn't had many players at that sudden death chase but sending laine was a bad idea as he was already exhausted specially when he did the 16th chase in 18 seconds.....the best way would have been to send sean in the chase and maybe one of you or laine could come to evade......I know you had a hamstring but bro, you are still one of top athletes and evading for few seconds wouldn't be too much of a problem to you. i know its not ideal to run with a hamstring and I am a bit harsh too with my comment but gnf isn't just a team its an emotion and not reaching even semis hurts.... 🤕

    • @@yashojwalsingh7844 I appreciate the sentiment truly, at the end of the 16 rounds we were all looking at one another at who was good to go in and laine opted in for chasing and Sean said he would be good by then for evading, not getting too semis hurt but fueled us for the next comp which airs on espn next week I believe

    • i remember watching UGEN at a french championship showing up with 4 players, and then two got injured, it feels similar here where bringing one player less than max creates a fragility if anything goes wrong.

  • GNF were so close to another couple of evasions, I really think this time around it was decided by luck that Dexterity Depot made it to the sudden death. But that doesn't mean they shouldn't get the credit they deserve. I really hope to see GNF with Davis and Julius back in their roster (knowing that Seth retired) along with Jake and Sean + the new members Joseph and Laine from Unknown. That would be a great 6 man team. Shame that Jarrod Lutty got taken away to Apex 😢 Also Paul and Aaron from Dexterity are 2 new breakout stars after this tournament. Similar level to Hunter from Tempest. With training they should shine in the future. Man, I love this sport! ❤

    @passerbylau4979@passerbylau4979 Жыл бұрын
  • I'm surprised that they went with Laine as the chaser right after he finished the last chase and Sean as the evader. I probably would have swapped the two which would have put a really strong chaser on shut down duty, and given Laine a rest who had proven, at minimum in this match up and possibly in the entire tournament, to be the hot hand in getting evasions. Then again, it might have been a match up decision which is fair as well.

    @Aro2001@Aro2001 Жыл бұрын
    • Running Laine back-to-back I reckon was a bad call. GNF didnt seem to have any really strong chasers though. They need someone like Ethan who gets some crazy fast tags

      @josestirtabudi6247@josestirtabudi6247 Жыл бұрын
    • @@josestirtabudi6247 I don't know... Sean and Joseph both are pretty consistent in getting tags. There's a reason why most people have difficulty escaping the long arm of the Law. That being said, it's probably where the loss of Jarrod Luty to Apex Moon probably hurt them the most since he could get those fast tags.

      @Aro2001@Aro2001 Жыл бұрын
    • Not so much them getting tags, just the speed of getting the tag. I'm not actually sure who in the line-up would be preferred for a fast tag. Luty was definitely a loss

      @josestirtabudi6247@josestirtabudi6247 Жыл бұрын
    • @@Aro2001 Laine also had a 100% tag rate before the Sudden Death, plus there is a 1-minute gap gap between the last chase and the first sudden death chase so in all honesty not the worst choice in there team.
