Hey Horse Lovers! Today I am going to groom and unbraid Lumiere and show you our mane care routine! Then we will tack up and go for a ride in the outdoor arena. In this video I will show you our entire process of what we do to for his hair care and training session. This video is PACKED FULL of training tips, thoughts, and methods. Lumiere is the most breathtaking horse I have ever seen. He is a Friesian/Clydesdale/Gypsy with a sweet soul. From his striking appearance and enchanting presence, this horse captivated me. I cannot wait to continue developing our partnership. In this video you will get to see us groom, tack up, and do some groundwork then RIDE! I’ve seen some beautiful horses and no one can tell me my heart horse growing up wasn’t the most beautiful horse to ever live😂 But Lumè is an absolute stud muffin! He looks like a princess should be ridding him in a field of flowers, bare back with her dress flowing in the wind and flowers braided into his hair. He’s one of the most beautiful horses I’ve ever seen. A true dream of a horse

I LOVE shedding season. For horses, dogs, cats, all furry pets, it's satisfying seeing the transformation.
Except when you kiss your pet and get fur on your mouth 😹. I have a shorthair male cat, but he still sheds quite a bit and I love to give him a kiss each night, but not sure he appreciates it.
Oh wow ! I have 2 Great Pyrenees OMG they are already blowing their winter coat, interested in a side job grooming them out? LOL 🤪😂😂. All creatures are beautiful after they come out of their winter coats!

You are riding a fairytale horse straight from a Renaissance novel. You should have at least 20 more good years together, and slowly building his muscling and strength, no matter the social pressure, is the right choice. Explaining it is, too, because it educates and shows your purpose. Good job.
Lumi's such a wonderful addition to Free Spirit Farms! I love the new lip color, Buckskin Beige. It's a fresh shade that's perfect when you are outdoors in the summertime.
I’d never noticed how adorable Lumi’s ears were until you started riding him and got that POV. They’re buckskin but their edges are black in color. So pretty and so much fun to watch as he listens to what you’re saying while he also is constantly taking in his environment 😂 What a gorgeous specimen of a horse both in stature AND in personality 🥰
This kind of mane would not be something I would ever choose, precisely because of the level of maintenance required. But I am happy that you have the horse of your dreams. 💓. Great job helping him get stronger!

I think that Lumiere will be your perfect partner. His head is on straight I can see him carrying himself as he gets stronger. I know you are a big trail rider and he will do well but I can see him being your dressage partner for as much as you want him to be. His attitude its lovely. Even if you never do any kind of competition, it does not matter. Enjoy your boy.

You don't need a timeliness for bitless or English or anything. Follow your gut and stay western for a year if needed. Do whatever the horse requires. You are sovright NOT to rush anything! There are no instant results but for a green horse he looks darned good!! I am remembering your tips as I start my own Morgan from scratch. You both looked great. I am a big believer in 'riding on feel' and that is what you naturally do. Your body adjust to what is needed which is how you train esp a green horse. Lastly thank you for the mane tips. My lippitt Morgan's mane is long bit half the length of Lunis. It has a natural curl. I want it to eventually grow long like Lumis. Thank you for explaining the products and shock regimine. I am ordering them. They are exactly what we need. That company should sponsor you! Thanks again for the mane demo, exactly what I needed. Above all with a green horse training takes time to progress and you need to stay safe at all times. Every ride you will likely feel a tad bit better ea time. Great video. 😊😊😊

Shae, each video is a step closer to the vision that popped into my mind the first time you were on Lumiere, before you purchased him…Lumiere decked out in black tack with his mane & tail free flowing while you are in the saddle dressed all in classic black with your blonde mane also free flowing as the two of you move together as one. I hope when the time comes, you will post such a picture as I am sure it will be even more ethereal than the one in my head from that first day y’all met. I have no idea why that concept of y’all popped into my head that day, but each time I see you working with Lumi I see that vision of y’all together in my mind’s eye. (Hope the above doesn’t sound too creepy. I just mentally process some thoughts a bit differently, sometimes with detailed visuals in my head being the outcome. And yeah, people often think I’m a bit weird until they realize that I don’t just march to a different drummer but to an entirely different band…usually classic rock, hard rock, or ‘80s hair band.) Thank you so much for sharing your horses and parts of your life. Have loved horses all my life but never really had opportunity to be around them.
