    • @@Thawcc_ no, I would've made the same choice too if I was in her position and I had the hope of a painless paradise to look forward to. But if I knew that there was no such thing, and the hospital is essentially my only hope, I would've absolutely chose to fight on until my last breath. I think the parents did the best they believe in, so I don't blame them, and calling it "child abuse" is a bit too far, but giving her false hope of eternal paradise with no pain to get her to agree to dying is not something that I can agree with, if it was my kid, but it's their kid, and it's their choice, so be it.

Let the parents suffer on just this situation for the rest of their lives, dont add on to their problems.

      @-aggrON-@-aggrON-12 күн бұрын
    • It’s not always hopeless. We’re taught not to rob God of a miracle, and that gives a lot of people hope. I saw a girl who had a zero chance of surviving an aneurysm. The doctors said to her parents exactly what you commented. Had they listened they would have lost their little girl. The boy who was pushed into a lake by his “friends” just a couple weeks ago was declared brain dead. He just woke up a couple days ago. There is always hope for a miracle.

But im telling you, god hates people who lose hope, if a person thinks after suffering from cold or stuff or was in great pain that "death" is now verily the choice and that "god will take care of him/her". No. That means "losing hope" or giving up. God hates these people so much. We have to strive for better future, god loves people who keep their hopes stable and believe their future to be better. Never choose death or maybe suicide when your time has not come or else you are sent straight to hell. God created us for a reason, he created to test us, not to see us let ourselves die.

I mean i know this is not related to the video or maybe but think about it. No, the person will be sent straight to hell. Why? Because he/she lost hope and gave up. God created and sent us to earth for a reason. If we give up, we lose and thrown to hell. If we keep our hopes stable and trust god for "better future". Then god loves us and after death our life will be eternally heaven. But the girl in the video is going to heaven because she is too young to be tested by our lord.

I'm sorry it doesn't seem like you are able to grasp the helplessness of everyone involved in this girls disease! It's not like if she "chose" to live through another cold and her medical team was able to revive her if necessary, that she would one day be able to receive a transplant or a cure would become available for her disease. She has a genetic defect ("disease") that she was born with that keeps her nerves from working properly. She can't walk, stand, move her arms well without assistance, eat, or even BREATHE unassisted! She will continue to get worse, be able to control LESS of her body, and SUFFER MORE until she DIES ANYWAYS!! Her decision will (sadly) cause less hardship and sorrow on her parents in the long run. They won't have to watch her deteriorate more and more until her body gives up anyways...

    • shayla the sheer bravery of the whole family is such a beautiful beautiful thing to have witnessed as sad as her story is, no one, especially a child deserves to die in a morbid cold white room when her inevitable death approached her, when she was able to spend her time at home where she belonged. So many people are commenting as if the parents euthanised her when they simply let her be at home with loved ones. This broke me big time 💔

  • This is beyond heart-breaking. Even though I'm an atheist, this is one of the rare situations where I would tell the little girl that there is a God and that He'll take care of her. Everything to make her final moments as comfortable as possible. Some things just floor you and leave you speechless. Parents giving their child the choice of whether they want to die at home or in a hospital is truly the stuff that shatters you into tiny little pieces on the inside.

"She died at home, in her princess room and in my arms," Moon said. "She died exactly where she wanted to die." "She went after 18 beautiful months [in hospice]. She didn't go after a year of horrible hospitalizations," she added. "I take comfort knowing that it happened in the way she wanted it to happen."

Edit: I wrote this when I was 11 lmao. anyway, I'm 14 now and I still stand by what I said 3 years ago. I am sure i would agree with the ones disagreeing with me if it wasn't the daughter's decision. The daughter herself made the decision and I am sure the parents were devastated and tried to convince her but at the end it's the her choice on what she wants to do. She probably didn't want to suffer and for someone who has been in the hospital for the majority of their life, I'm pretty sure she knows suffering than most of us here. She saw death as a better and more peaceful option and made her choice. What has been done has been done rather than fighting about this we should wish the family the best and hope their daughter is safe and happier.

    • namas thapa what is wrong with you? Parents are supposed to protect their children and do everything they can to keep them alive and well. This is downright stupidity that they chose to allow a five year old to make that decision. A child is obviously going to choose the short term option. The treatment sucks but in the long term would have been better so obviously she is going to want to stop doing it. A 5 year old doesn’t understand the implications of what that would do. While children as they grow should be allowed to have more freedom allowing a five year old not to mention your own child to essentially kill themselves is child abuse. My apologies for the comments against religion I am atheist myself but respect other people’s right to their own beliefs. However I disagree that you should allow your child to make such a decision because of your faith. Also Ashley if you believed I was ignorant for a 13 year old then you haven’t met many 13 year olds. I was angry I admit and didn’t convey my opinion in the best way but that doesn’t change the fact that instead of disagreeing with me and backing up your claims you just said “oh your ignorant.”

    • @@landanrockz570 well, not 100% true thought. If you read the stories of people who follow Jesus all their life, whether it's in the Bible or these modern days, you will know that following Jesus is not easy. There will be many obstacles and challenges throghout your life in Jesus, which i believe prepared by Jesus Himself. Now don't get this wrong. Jesus will never ever, harm any of His creation for fun. He did all of that to test us. Those who don't give up 'til the end, will be rewarded with things that are even far greater than you can imagine. He also made us as an example to other people out there, no matter what kind of trouble you had in life, never give up. God has plan for those who believe in Him. As for Satan, he is the one who try to wear all of us down. He will make us to think that Jesus is bad and tell us to abandon Him and follow Satan instead. Sex, drugs, killing, all kind of sins are all Satan's doing.

I’m a 44 year old woman with multiple chronic illnesses and I wouldn’t wish my pain on anyone, but this girl has had pain her whole tiny life. She probably has a better grasp of life and death than we do. Her mom laid it out pretty clearly for her. I sobbed for most of this story. I can’t imagine how hard it was to try and make the decisions that her parents have. The doctors and nurses are all supportive of her passing peacefully at home in her pink Princess room. I think that she deserves the dignity to choose to be comfortable at home. Either way it’s heartbreaking.
