  • Manhattan is expensive but other places in New York aren’t. I live in the Bronx which is about forty five minutes away from Manhattan by train. It has more reasonable prices than Manhattan. Also, you need to be really careful walking around in Manhattan because I heard those characters also steal things. Just really be aware of your surroundings and you’ll be fine.

  • the same thing happened to me when my family was in ny. i was minding my own business and suddenly the characters came up from behind me and told my mom to take a picture. this was the first time we had been in ny so we didn’t know it was a scam until they made my mom pay $10 per person (there were 6 of them). i was so mad and it just made me hate nyc so much

    • actually in the US they use fahrenheit and we use celsius here in canada, which are two different measurements of temperature. so 30 degrees fahrenheit is actually -1 degree celsius :))
