I didn’t go through a break up with a kid, but I did go through a break up from a toxic relationship. Nothing helped better than being alone and learned to love myself and learn to be alone and not depend on no one to be happy. Took me 5yrs and just like Elijah posted this video on his IG saying it’s BS. That’s exactly what my ex did. He tried to bash me. 8yrs later I’m here happy with a wonderful husband living a life i never imagined bcus I was in such a toxic environment to understand there’s better out there.
Omg right I just seen that he posted saying her video was BS.! So sad that he continues to bash Elsy. He’s pathetic. I’m so happy Elsy is thriving and looking happier and better than ever. 💙
I also saw that he posted another photo after the screenshot of this video. My take on it is that he’s saying “she’s fake” bc perhaps Elsy does miss/love him still. She may also still have him over and they may still hook up. Then realizes she deserves better and stops and then it turns into a vicious cycle bc that’s what toxic relationships are. There’s no boundaries, there’s trauma, there’s trauma bonds, etc. People tend to forget people’s brains don’t fully develop until the age of 25. So people make mistakes and that’s totally normal for the average person. Imagine what happens when that person experienced severe trauma? Therapy is needed for both parties involved and self care. Therapy for the abuser and therapy for the victim.

I’m in the same boat. I feel like there’s no one to call to because I don’t want my friends and family to know everything that happened to me in that relationship and it went on during my pregnancy. Watching videos like these gives me hope to one day get the peace I once did in my life. I wanted to stay and work things out but always felt so stupid going back to someone who clearly didn’t love me but he represented the life I wanted and without him I would never had the family I longed for. No morning family cuddles, being those parents that kissed in front of their kids, no forever. I told myself I was going to wait five years but the more I thought about it I realized that it wasn’t going to be healthy for my son to see the way his father treated me. My new dream is to raise my son to be that man I wanted his father to be.
