Do i believe he should be a 1st ballot hof? probably yea, i could see it. is he a top 5 shortstop of all time? no. even tho he is known for the jump throw, his defensive war is the 2nd worst in history behind micheal young or yuniesky betancourt (started tht stat in the 90's i think or early 00's) he struck out the most out of all players with 3000 hits or more. never won an mvp (even tho he deserved it in 06) never really lead the league in any offensive stats (once or twice in hits) and his last couple of years were rlly bad (except the year before last) everyone praises jeter like he's the son of god and just because he stayed with 1 team. he only led his team to 1 ws (he didnt lead them in the late 90's he was a part of the team) watch the keith olbermann video on it. i still believe he's a 1st ballot, but he never would of gotten tht recognition if he played in Tampa or Milwaukee.

You have it backwards, Arenado couldn't hold Machado's jock strap! 😂🤣😂🤣 Machado can make plays that makes Arendao look like a kid, and Machado's arm is way better, he has a cannon for an arm, a missile for that matter.

And he came back and did better than anyone else ever has after sustaining those kinds of injuries, because players tend to play with a lot of precautions and tends to favor those injuries, meaning that he didn't act all afraid of his injuries he had, which most players tend to do.

Nolan does these awesome plays with such ease you dont realize what all goes into just one throw.........Great job all the way around.

  • As a new fan from the U.K. (we just got ESPN over here) this piece has just made me appreciate baseball 100% more. You got to understand no one plays it here, so when we see a standard throw straight to first base, it just looks so easy- when it seems it’s anything but! Big thumbs up and hopefully more vids like this 👍

    • mafiaserge23 - Just curious, why did Yankee fans hate ARod so much? Was it the beef with Jeter, and since Jeter was a career Yankee your loyalty lied with him? Was it the steroids? He had some absolutely amazing years for you guys, I mean yeah he cost a lot but I’ve never heard many Yankee fans complain about the money your FO spends. I’d just like to hear from an actual NY fan why you guys disliked him so much. Thanks!

      @piercehubbard4086@piercehubbard40864 жыл бұрын
    • Pierce Hubbard I think it was his attitude, he came across as fake. Maybe he was just misunderstood during his playing days because his love for the game and the Yankees seems quite genuine now. It never felt that way when he was playing. I don’t think it was entirely the steroids, Andy Pettitte did steroids and he’s still beloved by Yankee fans. The way Alex went about the whole steroid saga was an embarrassment. Threatening to sue everyone and denying everything; had he just owned up to his mistake in the moment it would have all blown over and been forgotten. No doubt he had some great years and was a huge part of the 09’ championship but he just felt phony. He’s much more genuine and likeable now and I enjoy his commentary and perspective. I wish he had acted this way as a Yankee.
