    • yea I can't believe any idiots said that. He turned down being the second highest paid guy in the UFC after Conor, CLEARLY it had nothing to do with money. It was the fact that his original dream was to be the HW boxing champ, not UFC champ, that just came about unexpectedly. So OFC he's gunna dip and pursue that if he can. That mf made it when he had no money at all, after the paydays from the UFC I'm sure he could've made that last the rest of his life somehow so he was cool with taking the risk.

    • Is he trying to be like those youtubers who get to fight a big name for no reason other being famous or does he seriously want to climb the boxing ladder? This is an exhibition match with no stakes, against a title holder. This means as much as Floyd vs Logan except that instead of Logan we have a UFC athlete who frankly right now is more interested in getting publicity than building a new fighting career from the ground up. Unless the logic is that this helps him to catapult himself into the boxing world.

  • Bodyshots may be a good strategy against Tyson Fury. It is harder to dodge body shots, right? And a good left hook to the body aimed slightly upward might get him knocked down. Livershots can and do end fights. And they tend to bring the hands down if the opponent doesn't go down. Bas Rutten gives a masterclass on the livershot in one his most recent videos. Bas is a fighting legend, a smart guy and a great communicator. Bas is a big fan of Mike Tyson and used a similar wide stance that gives enable whole-body power in both hands. There are other benefits as well. The downside is that you're a wider target. But you'll be much more of a threat with knockout power in both hands. The downside is probably bigger for the other guy. With the bladed stance fighters can choose to eat the punches from the weak side. This gives them more options. If both sides can KO there's fewer chances. for the other guy. I recommend the video to learn about the liver shot but also to learn about striking generally. There's a short commercial at the start of thr video featuring Bas himself promoting his own invention the O2trainer which is a device used to train inspiratory breathing muscles.

  • With how much Francis improved with tons of work in recent years (seriously more technical improvement than any athlete I can think of), I have no doubt that something scary is going to show up to this fight. Francis is a beast, one of his heavy, precise swings is enough to take out anyone.

    @Hayduke0@Hayduke09 ай бұрын
    • He's just a genetic freak, if ANY guy could transition sports like that and somehow pull off a crazy upset win, it would be him with NO question about it. Dude didn't even leave Africa to go train until he was 25, with no experience in anything like it prior. He got completely dominated on the ground by Stipe, took it on the chin and got to work just to come back 3 years later and completely bully him. Not only that, but he left Africa with the dream of becoming the HW champ in boxing, not MMA. With how positive he was that he'd get there, and what he did in the mean time, oh yea I could definitely see it. People compare it to Conor and Floyd not realizing this is a completely different type of fight with HW guys. Conor had KO power and all, but Floyd was fast enough to avoid that and tire him out. Fury won't be doing that, he's gunna take some hits, and Francis' hits are THE hardest hits, there is no equal comparison because nobody hits as hard as him. Now by all means, I think it's more likely Fury pulls a decision win, but I damn sure wouldn't bet on it.
