Eating Whatever I Catch.. Dock Fishing and Crabbing (Catch and Cook)

Eating Whatever I Catch while Fishing the docks and crabbing at a Saltwater Creek! We head out to go fishing in North Florida to attempt to catch something to catch and cook! We have some fresh bait that we caught the other day and a bag of JUMBO shrimp. What kind of fish would be around the saltwater creeks and low country backwaters during this time of year?? Are there crabs around? We attempt to catch clean and cook whatever we hook into.. I did not expect for this to happen..

  • The black dots on the fish are a parasite that feed off of another parasite in the crabs. It’s called “Peppered Crab Disease”. It’s very common on blue crabs and snow crabs. As long as the crabs are cooked properly, there is no risk to eating them at all. Completely safe. They also don’t affect the flavor in any ways

  • You want to try something good on crab try this: my wife is from Vietnam, and when she came over here and tried snow crab for the first time, I saw her get a little sauce cup and pour in a little pile of salt, a little pile of pepper, and a little pile of sugar in there. She also got some sliced lemons and squeezed the juice on top of it all. She stirred it all up and made sure there was enough lemon juice in there to cover the spices well. Then she took a taste. If it was too sour, she would add a bit more sugar and stir it, and if it was too sweet, she would squeeze in a bit more lemon juice in there and stir it. Now it will look a bit strange, with the pepper in there, it kind of looks like someone put a cigarette out in it, but I tell you, it is some of the best dipping sauce for any kind of crab, and other seafood items like shrimp. I never messed with crab much until trying this sauce, give it a try. My wife said it’s very popular to dip seafood in from the place she is from!😋

  • I think people would like to see you have more fun in the kitchen and be creative. Make a video once in a while where you go to a familiar, high percentage spot and catch what you need, then have some fun with it. Even if you make something straight forward like fish tacos, film yourself making some mango salsa and maybe a slaw of some sort to top them with. I enjoy the catch and cooks even if you continue to keep it simple, especially with new species, but if you want to elevate the cooking side, its a suggestion on how you might. Love the channel, 5 year subber here.
