I watch for both learning n jus cause it's relaxing. Also it's great to see fellow female turners. Not many of us out there !!!
I am 81 and watch to relax me. You are great
As for all the critics, no way to make everybody happy all the time. Your doin a great job and being very safe while doin it!! And anybody who doesn't like it,thats their problem!! ✌️!!!
😎✌️
So beautiful in all its simplicity. 😺 I love watching all kinds of turning videos just for fun and to relax my mind. I would actually want to start wood turning now that I recently retired. But I live in an apartment and have absolutely no facilities or knowledge of how to start. I will continue watching it on KZhead instead. And I am so happy to finally have found a female wood turner! Wow! I thought I was the only female interested in this 😸
Awesome! Thank you!
Im not a wood turner, I just enjoy the artistic process and finished projects!
Thanks for watching!
Good to see a woman away from the sewing machine and creating such good things. Keep it up Ron
Thank you, I will
I have been turning for several years, but I think that there is always more to learn so I watch turning videos such as yours. You are always fun to watch.
Cool, thanks
Hi Peggy. I`m Jørgen from Denmark. Have seen your videos for 2 years. I’m learning😉😁
That's great! Thanks!
I find the process that you and a few others I watch fascinating. I actually watch 4 turners, including yourself, as soon as I see the notification.
Awesome, thanks!
been turning for a couple of years as part of my woodworking hobby. turning is the best part and i'm watching to learn and steal ideas.
Right on!
I turn, but only on weekends since I am still gainfully employed. I enjoy watching others turn, especially women, since this is a male dominated field. Watching someone do woodturning is therapeutic and relaxing for me. I also watch for ideas and tips/explanations. I feel like some of the other turners have gotten so comfortable with their turning and video uploads, that they cut from their videos what a beginner needs to see. Keep turning. Nice piece
Thanks very much!❤️✌️
Don’t you worry about the knockers, half of them probably haven’t even worked with a lathe, you’re the one putting yourself out there for all those negative people to badmouth you and not do it themselves! Keep on punching girl, the people that support you far out weigh the ones that don’t!👍❤ I watch because I like watching people turn wood and hopefully I might learn something along the way, thanks!
😎✌️
I enjoy watching but at the same time I watch to learn either from mistakes or successes. There’s something to be learned from everyone if you pay attention. 😁
✌️
I am a 72 year old novice, i really appreciate all you KZheadrs I learn so much from you and the rest
😎✌️
Same from someone 22 years your junior! KZhead taught completely!
Watch to learn, I am a new turner. Your videos are very helpful, ignore the internet trolls.
Thanks, will do!
Please don't afraid to do things other than woodturning it's always good to see other things as well you do what you want and don't listen to the haters 😊😅
✅😎
I watch these wood turning videos in the hope that one day I too can turn bowls worthy of appreciation. Neville from Brisbane
Happy turning, thanks for watching!
I've been turning for several years but I always enjoy watching other turners. Very nice bowl, love the spalting. Some FB people should keep their comments to what they know. What we do can be dangerous, that's why we wear proper protection.
Exactly! Thanks!
My eyes bugged out when I saw that crack! From looking at the final bowl, it went most of the way through the blank. Very scary! Regarding PPE: Do you think wearing a face shield is going to make any difference if that thing hits you in the face? Hint: It won't. I've seen a hole in a garage door that a blank went through, and I've seen the black, purple, and blue chest of an old dude that was hit by half a bowl. And a hole knocked in a cinder block wall. The danger is real. I'm an old guy with well over 40 years experience in woodworking and turning. I'm not a safety nazi. Ain't no pussy either. I would hate to see you or anyone else get hurt. That's all.
I watch as a way to live vicariously through the turners I watch. I am hoping to buy a lathe someday so I figure that watching these videos will put a base of knowledge in my head.
✌️😎
It's good to see you again. It's been about six months or more since I have seen your videos.
Thanks. You might have a few videos to catch up on!! 😎✌️✅
watch for fun. My grandpa used to turn wood and I loved watching him and find I enjoy seeing what other create.
Awesome, thanks for watching!
Hi Peggy, I watch for fun, although I often learn something as well. I also watch to support a fellow female turner!
Awesome! Thank you!✌️✌️😎😎
Like to watch different Turner's techniques that fits my style nice bowl
I watched just because I like watching people make things . I used to turn pens , bottle stoppers and other small things.
Cool, thanks!
I’ve been turning for a number of years but am always looking for tips and techniques. Plus I just enjoy to see what others are doing. Good work Peggy.
Awesome! Thank you!
Not bad for a novice:-) Peggy, I look forward to your videos because you made it look easy without all the fanfare and presumptuous comments. I truly enjoyed watching you work. Thanks for the tip on the curved tool rest and the finishing paste. I liked the grain on the maple and the design of the bowl. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks so much! 😊
Hey Peggy! I just found your channel because KZhead recommended one of your videos to me. I enjoy watching wood turning videos because I find them quite relaxing, but I don't do any wood turning myself. I have been wanting to find more female woodworkers to watch because I feel like all the channels I keep finding are by men. I really like how you included some information about how and why you were doing what you were doing with such a calm voiceover. The bowl turned out beautifully and I would have loved to see even more shots of the finished piece. But I also wanted to say that I almost didn't click on this video because the thumbnail wasn't giving me any indication of what the video would be about. I almost scrolled past, but I'm glad I didn't, and now I'm subscribed to your channel!
Thanks for the info and welcome aboard!
I watch this video for both reasons. I believe there is always something that you saw after watching a video and that is "OH I didn't know that" or "Wish I had thought of that". Your never to old to learn something new. I noticed that all the printing that you showed as a mirror image. Great video!
Well said!
I like to watch different videos for the ideas and the therapy (it's cheaper and safer than buying all those bullets😄). I'm always glad to see your videos! Nice hair!
No need for bullets!!! Thanks for watching!
I watch to learn and I also watch for enjoyment! Thanks Peggy!
You are so welcome!
Another great job Peggy. Take no notice of the critics. You are responsible for your own safety and you obviously know how and when to take a risk 👍👍
Thank you so much!
Watching to learn. Thank you
Been turning a few years now. Started watching you before I started though. There’s just something hypnotic and soothing about watching turning, then I happened to take it up myself. Lol 😂. One thing I do on resin crack fills like you did, is I’ll use cut up milk jugs hot glued up the crack. It’ll help resin stay in place and not use a whole lot. I didn’t see the other video where people were scolding you in turning cracked wood, but I’d say forget them. Bowls breaking apart happens. At least you were wearing all your protective gear. Love seeing you back at it.
Thanks much!!
I watch you turning because I am turning and learning. Thanks!
Great!
I am a router sign maker, I also do scroll work. I have been watching tons of videos on turning. I find it relaxing. I am hoping to retire or semi retire in 5 years and want to add turning to my wood working. I am planning on buying my 1st lathe latter this year.
Wonderful!
I watch wood turning videos because it’s hypnotic (so I guess that’s therapeutic? 😂) Maybe one day I will muster the resolve to unpack that lathe sitting in my garage.
✌️😎
@@PFWoodturning Hope you don’t mind a follow-up question: after going from watching to turning, how long did it take you to get to this high level of skill? Seems like that would take a decade or more 😬
Beautifully done. You are the creator. You see the defects and use them to bring out the beauty. Thank you for sharing. Peace out
✌️
Sweet looking bowl. Always fun to watch your turning skills
Thanks 👍
Interesting turn, keep it up. Pay no heed to those who criticise, let the wood guid you. My turning days are now over due to health issues but I still like to watch interesting turners. Nice hair by the way.
👍🏻😎✌️
Thanks for sharing Peggy! I enjoy watching you turn and all the project you create.
Thank you so much!
I'm always looking for tips. Thank you for sharing 👌
Thanks for watching!
Another excellent piece! Love watching because I always learn something that can apply to my own turning. Thank you!
Awesome! Thank you!
Lovely work as usual , the spalting in that piece is fantastic.
Thank you! Cheers!
From one turner to another, nice job. Look forward to seeing future projects
Thanks 👍
I watch for fun and you never disappoint me, Peggy. The rainbow green in this one is so cool looking! Amazing job! 💜
Thank you so much!
Watched on my TV earlier but just got around to my computer so I can leave a comment. You are still my very favorite turner. I always like it when you use epoxy. I watch for the sheer joy of watching. I have never turned. A lot of people like to criticize, but usually it reflects more on them than you. There are a lot of idiots out there.
Cool, thanks!
Absolutely beautiful!!!
Thank you so much!
Another beautiful bowl Peggy! 👍🏻 I learn a lot watching you turn! Oh… nice hair cut too! Thank you so much for sharing! ✌️
Thanks so much 😊
Nice bowl. I’m new at turning so I watch for learning and fun. Love the Ack’s products. 😊
Thanks for watching!
Peggy, Thanks for the work you do with the videos. I have learned so much from watching them (actually everything since this has been my only classes). Also love to see all the dyes and finishes you utilize.
Glad you like them!
I am so glad you are back turning
Thanks, me too!
Always do what you want to. You know the risk and are prepared for disappointment or wood flying of the lath. Always watch your videos to learn something new as I do with other turners.
✌️👍🏻
I’m new to turning and I’m here to learn. Definitely learned a lot today. Thanks!
Great to hear!
I hear ya! My priority is the grain, and if there is a crack, I work to make it the focal point. I often do the Epoxy with gold to simulate the Japanese artform of breaking pottery, and inlaying real gold in the resulting cracks. It's your art - You're doing great.
Thank you kindly! ✌️
Greetings from New Zealand. Good for you for not giving up on it just because you find a crack in it. One way to lessen the risk is to give it a rough turning while it is still green. Then give it a coat of sealing paint. This will even out the speed of the drying process.
Thanks for the tips!
Love it! I learn a lot from you videos 😊 Thank you
You are so welcome!
Another good video and bowl, Peggy.
Thank you kindly!
Another great job Peggy
Thank you! 😊
Hi Peggy I watch to hear the soothing sound of your voice
Lol, thanks!
Another gorgeous bowl Peggy
Thanks so much 😊
Love the bowl!
Thanks, Carol!
Thank you so much for explaining which tool you are using. It really helps me as a NEW turner. Great response for those who didn't know what you were doing or just wanted to criticize.
Glad it was helpful!
Very nice. I’m liking the green resin to fill the cracks. Well done.
Thank you! Cheers!
I watch to learn, and I always learn something from your videos! Thanks!
Glad to hear it!
Gotta Love that curved tool rest!! Bowl is gorgeous!! Wish I had your skill with bowl gouges!!!
Thank you very much!
Been a long time viewer love your work think you do a excellent job
Awesome, thank you!
Keep doing the good work 👏
Thank you, I will
Wow, that really came out nice! Well done
Thank you so much 😀
I watch because i enjoy it. You are a talented lady. I've enjoyed doing and watching turning projects on the lathe since high school. Hopefully will be able to get my own equipment after retirement.
Thank you very much!
Nicely done, Peggy. Thanks for sharing. Tom
Many thanks!
Another great bowl Peggy. I started watching Your videos and other woodturning videos before I started turning in December of 2020. I’ve always enjoyed your videos.
Wonderful!
Fantastic job! You are right not to let legends in their own minds get to you. I really enjoy your videos and learn something with each one.
I appreciate that!
I watch to learn, Peggy. Thank you for sharing. I never miss a video. 👏😄
Yay, thank you!
Great 👀 bowl/helmet! 😂 awesome job. Im here for the turning!
Thanks 👍
Very pretty lidded bowl. I like watching to the end to see the finished piece up close.
Thank you! Cheers!
I enjoy watching you turn.. It's calming and I learn something. Even little things can lower my frustration level when I turn.
Glad you enjoy it!
Dear Peggy, again a very nice project and a very enjoyable video. Watching your videos both teaches me a lot and great pleasure. Thank you very much.
Thank you so much!
Love watching
✌️
Hi Peggy. I’ve only been turning for a few years so I watch for instruction, ideas and I enjoy your commentary.
Thank you so much!
Det blir bara så bra. Tack har lärt mig mycket av dig. Bilbo från sweden.
Thanks!! 🇸🇪
Great job. I enjoy turning and also watching others like you who know what they are doing.
Thanks 👍
I watch for the therapeutic factor as well. I appreciate you sharing your talents. 😊
Thank you so much!
I watch for all of the above! I do some turning,; I'm always open to learning new things, and I enjoy your videos.
Awesome! Thank you!
I always like to see what other turners are doing. I often pick up ideas for projects and learn new techniques. The bowl turned out really nice.
Thank you very much!
Watching for fun. Fascinating
😎✌️
Peggy, this bowl is amazing. The eye candy green is perfect juxtaposition with the lighter wood. Your final images were reversed from the earlier portions; NOT CRITICISM but confusion on my part. Periodically I do something random with my camera and get a surprise image flip. I watch your channel to understand the possibilities of a lathe. I used to manipulate wood into artistic and useful items. In my 40’s I committed wedlock and my world changed. I no longer participate with wood working but do admire and appreciate your manipulation, artistry and craftsmanship. Wishing you and your family a blessed week filled with gentle seasonally appropriate weather and restful evenings together. Peace Peggy
Thanks!
@@PFWoodturning You are welcome. In my day we didn’t have resin or even polymer plastic but I would save saw and sanding dust, mixing it with wood glue powder and water to make a filling paste. Today you and wood artisans like you embrace the cracks and imperfections, filling with “eye candy” and highlighting them. You are a blessing to your students and others watching your channel. Peace
Always ready to learn something new
Right on!
Cool bowl, watched to see your process. There are so many techniques to learn
Thank you! Cheers!
Watching for therapy, education and for my personal technique improvements. Thank you for taking the time to make this video for us!
Thanks so much for watching!
Nice job . I have been turning for about 3 years now and I watch because I believe you can always learn more!
Cool, thanks!
Nice hat! I mean nice bowl. It turned out really well. I am a hobby turner and have been watching you from early on in your you tube journey. At first I found it therapeutic, then enjoyable and then I learned some things as well. Cheers.
Awesome! Thank you!
Lovely bowl Peggy and I enjoyed tour process of making it, the resin is a great idea and something I am just getting started with so this video was timely for information, well done and thanks! Cheers Al
Have fun!
Nice job! Like you, I watch wood turning videos therapeutically. I will never be able to afford the equipment nor the space to try my hand at wood turning so I live vicariously through those that can. I am so envious of those that have the equipment and space to pursue woodworking. Thanks and I've just subscribed. Looking forward to viewing more of your videos! 👍
Thanks 👍 I appreciate that!!
Hi Peggy i watch for fun and to learn and just pure enjoyment. you are an inspiration Brett
Thanks so much!
Hi Peggy, another great job. Keep it up. I as well turn but I like to watch what others are doing for inspiration. Cheers
Thanks so much 😊
Yes to all three, had to be entertaining to watch but also watch for ideas and inspiration…..etc
Awesome! Thank you!
I just like watching your videos and I also enjoy your commentary and the finished project. I enjoy your videos and find them peaceful and relaxing. Thank you for making them
Thank you very much!
I am 75 years old and learning everyday something new in turning and I enjoy it your doing a great job Peggy thanks for sharing your talents
Rock on!
