  • Hi, love your truck! I have 1947 Dodge PW mounted on 1997 Dodge 2500 4x4 extended cab (cut out about 3 feet chassis) and now single drive line. I did not cut the FW to fit 6BT and 5 speed, I relocated my Radiator, intercooler, AC condenser, two batteries, extra electric. Water pump to “tool box” in rear. Works great! I added 47 inch tires and am in the process of resizing fenders to match tire arc for better look. Good luck with your build.

    • That’s awesome! Post up a video or send some info to me on instagram at @classic_power_wagons I wanted to not have to cut the frame on this one. I plan to build a few off this plat form now that I got everything in place. I didn’t really loose to much space from the cab not that that space was usable. I’m non-intercooled on this setup which helped out for space as well.

  • Awesome work! I may reach out to you in the near future as I’m in the midst of building a 47 with a 12 valve as well. Thanks for posting.

  • I actually really love the 1940s Dodge "B" series cabs for the filler neck location. Great work. The truck looks amazing. Also you naided the bed height to cab position not many put it at stock height. Are you going to keep the swing windshied?

    • I do to! Pretty much the same as the power wagon cab but the door stills sit lower which helps on this frame swap to hide the frame more and the firewall sits in more which works for the cummins engine. I spent a lot of time to make all the proportions work and look like its meant to be. I will be keeping the swing windshield, I have new glass for it, just need to paint the frame and reassemble it. Also got a new regulator for it so itll swing nicely!

  • So many questions. (Finally starting my 47wd21 project) frame mods? Engine specs? Suppliers used? Was going to buy a rolled 2000s something dodge but so so curious now…

  • Hi again, I tried to reply to your comment below but I can not figure out how to reply to your reply as KZhead gives me an error? Anyway if you send me your email I can send you a few pictures? What I noted is your cab is from a 2 wheels drive truck not a power wagon and that its looks to me like a older truck than a1957, as my 1947 have same Guage and dash setup as yours. I am using all stock gauges, water temp, oil pressure, and fuel level (with a voltage drop resister and ohm bridge to correct) I am also using satellite drive to spin the stock speedometer but I am not using the AMP Guage, and I have often market gauges for diesel monitoring. Good luck to your Build.George.
