No E30 M3 in South Africa? No problem, you can build your own!

South Africa was one of the countries that missed out on the original BMW E30 M3. It was such a sore point for our local BMW enthusiasts and division that they went on to make their own special editions like the E30 333i and the iconic 325IS Evo I and Evo II.
But what if you could make your own E30 M3? That would be extremely rare in South Africa.
That's what the owner of this custom E30 M3 decided to do when he partnered with the team at Big Boss Auto in order to create something that is almost indiscernable from the original E30 M3. A lot of detail and custom fabrication had to go into the build and this is the result. Tell us what you think of the build in the comments below.

  • Looks great and very different from the typical guy making an IS replica. So this definitely is unique. I think next steps would be making it make the power of an M3.

    • Why ? Because it's easier ? Just a E30 2 door and a 733i motor , this is much more impressive way more work way way more unique

    • Yeah it would bother me that the bumpers and vendors don't look correct or are fibreglass. 333i or a neat chrome with the Jimmy hill lip.

  • I would really love to see a race between all three BMW E30's. From start to finish line. 325is vs 333i vs M3. Please do a video for us with this specific race.

  • Beautiful e30! I personally wouldn't wanna live in SA or Africa in general, but there is one thing I envy about those parts of the world: The cars are never rusty:). Here in central Europe, the cars are always very crusty :(

  • E30 M3 had a 2 litter 4 cylinder motor. It was never imported to SA and only made in lefthand drive cars

  • Big Boss Auto have done some crazy builds over the years, the black Opel Astra Coupe` Turbo they did that was featured in Speed And Sound back in 2002 was the car that got me interested in modding cars...I took my Opel Kadett 1800is to them back in 2003 for a bumper mod and it came out looking evil as fu*k!!! Is Justin still at the helm at Big Boss Auto?

  • Front and rear bumpers are not m3,side skirts are moulded on the body which the m3 is separate

  • 90kw with a lightweight car... if you ever decide to sell the car... you definitely need to install those brake boosters first for the safety of the public... next owner may not drive it like you do.
