  • My all-time favorite Christmas song is "O Holy Night" from Mariah's original mid-nineties Christmas album. She's redone it many times but none of them compare to the insane vocals showcased for "O Holy Night" in that particular era. Her performance of the song while she was pregnant was excellent as well, but again, nothing compares to the vocals on her orignal rendition because they're absolutely mind-blowing; It's as if the song was literally meant for her.

    • Yes!!! Search on KZhead for the “stripped” version. Someone was able to isolate the vocals of that recording without the music. It’s astonishing to just sit and absorb the beauty of her voice. Any range video by Mariah Carey clearly shows her hitting every note her lowest note in 2nd octave to her highest note in the 7th octave (plus the bonus playful F#8 with the dolphins in also there). That hole in the middle is an absolute lie. She goes from low notes, to middle voice, belts, head voice, falsetto then the whistle register. "Hole in the middle" is an absolute lie.

      @GarageStudio7@GarageStudio75 ай бұрын
    • @@GarageStudio7 Pfft. Those videos are just fangirls climaxing over high notes and low notes. You want proof that she has lost much of her middle range? The fact that she is lip syncing songs in 2023 that she could comfortably sing 20 years ago. And for the 10% or so of the show where she is actually singing, she has completely altered the melody around in order to dodge certain notes in certain octaves. So, pray tell, why does a singer who is still in full command of her voice lip sync 90% of a concert and charge people top dollar to see her? Could it be, uh, I dunno... that her voice is shot to hell? Just a silly guess.

From that day on I was and always will be a fan now called “lambily” for life. Each album has been a huge part of my life, relationships and i can relate with her lyrics to some events and relationships that helped me through and not give up. Especially, when I really felt like I wanted to. Thank you Jennifer Hudson for having, the one and only legendary Mariah Carey. ❤

  • My favorite Mariah songs are Vision Of Love and Emotions. Both extremely difficult songs, which is a complete understatement of how difficult they really are, but anyway, they require a 4 octave range, whistle notes, low notes, agility, and belts!!! And I'm so glad Jennifer said the truth-she is one of the greatest songwriters of all time and she also has a 5 octave range!!!! She can go lower than most contraltos and some tenors but at the same time go higher than most sopranos!!!!!! And yes a normal voice generally has a 2 to 3 octave range, and it's INCREDIBLE how Mariah Carey has a 5 OCTAVE RANGE!!!!! Yes, F2-G7!!!!!! So low to so high!!!!!!!!!! She is AMAZING!!!!

  • 1998 was really the year Mariah got to sing with legendary divas like Aretha, Patti, Whitney, Celine, Shania, Gloria Estefan, and Olivia Newton John. I guess Tommy Mottola didn't like to have her collaborate with many divas.

  • Another fantastic addition for my MC video collection! I'm such a Lamb that I don't just collect her songs but her videos as well. Growing up in the 90's when her appearances were scarce and early fans mostly base stuff on newspaper or magazine write ups... I'm so lucky to be still alive today witnessing all her appearances in high definition. It's really not just about her singing because even listening to her talk is music to us Lambs' ears.

  • I have been to Mariah’s Xmas show in Amsterdam, Holland back in 2018. All my childhood dreams and fantasies came through. Because seeing Mariah MTV Unplugged and seeing her performance from MSG back in the 90s was so mesmerizing. And the cherry on the cake is defenitly her team of background vocalists. To hear Trey Lorenz live was also heaven!!!!

  • I love the outtakes from the "Dreamlover" video because Mariah actually ends up by herself in the basket and floats away, completely unplanned and by mistake, eventually landing in the swamp and it's all caught on camera. I'll be honest, though; I didn't even know any of this until a little while back when I was watching her talk about it in one of her Instagram posts and decided to look it up for myself. You can't help but laugh when you see it, either. 😆
