Today's video im doing a complete and unnecessary deep dive into EVERY SINGLE Pretty Little liars character, this is part 1 of a 2 part video! In this video I talk about the Liars (hanna marin, emily fields, spencer hastings, aria montgomery and alison dilaurentis), the main love interests (ezra fitz, caleb rivers, toby cavanaugh and paige mccullers), the moms (ashley marin, pam fields, veronica hastings and ella montgomery) and the dads (tom marin, wayne fields, peter hastings and byron montgomery)
NEXT PART im going to be diving into the A's, the siblings, the suspicious girlies (jenna, lucas, sara, shauna ect) so subscribe and stay tuned for that!

  • Every single storyline Aria got was ALWAYS connected to Ezra btw whom she definitely valued over her friends. Lucy said she even thought Aria was going to be 'A', you could tell she played into it by her acting choices. Everyone that I've asked who their favorite Liar is the answer has always been Spencer. It was weird how Emily was always on Alison's side after she came back to Rosewood, like did Emily not remember everything she did? I've always been super confused on why Emily was "in love" with Alison in the first place, Emily clearly saw how horrible Ali was. I'm still pissed Spencer not getting an on-screen happy ending with Toby when all of the other girls' were shown on screen, especially when she was put through the most.

  • The show was ruined by making Ali nice in the end. Also, what the fuck was the british twin storyline? I think it should have ended after four seasons when Ali was explaining that night but it turns out she was lying and was A with Wren's help and maybe Aria.

    • In the books it was because when the girls became friends with “Ali”, it was actually Ali’s twin Courtney. But since that didn’t exist in the show it makes no sense why Ali chose any of them to be in her friend group.

  • I would just like to point this out Caleb and Spencer never belong together. I was so mad when we find out that Spencer and Caleb had feelings for each other and they started dating and I was so happy that Caleb cheated on Spencer with Hannah when they kissed in the season six finale, and from the start of Spencer and Caleb‘s relationship, it has been awkward. Every interaction every kiss everything awkward

  • Toby wasn’t just trying to protect Spencer, was trying to get information about his mother. I think he was willing to endanger her if he thought there was a possibility she was going to be traumatized not killed bc he desperately wanted info on his mom.

  • This is such a great video! I am looking forward to seeing more of your deep dives! I have to wonder if the writers may have been limited when it came to Emily seeing as how they were on ABCFamily in the early 2010s. ABCFamily used to be more of a conservative "family-friendly" channel. Early on in the show, the network lost advertisers because of Emily being gay. Ian Harding who plays Ezra was very vocal about that since his character was in a manipulative relationship with an underage girl but the advertisers had a problem with Emily and Maya. Even with the romantic love scenes, you can see the difference between the straight couples and Emily's relationship. Maybe I am reading too much into this, but I find it...interesting that the writers tried to parallel the Ezria relationship of being inappropriate and "forbidden" with Emily being outed and traumatized for being gay, which makes me uncomfortable. That was a lot. I swear I could write a dissertation about the effect that Ezria had on my psyche as an adolescent queer teenager lol

  • im remembering that scene where emilys house has just been hit by a car and her and pam are living in a motel,, pam when she asks emily if she'd like anything 2 eat and something about just how emotional she is in that moment makes it a really hard scene for me to watch. It may be because i have personal similar sad memories and it gets to me, but pam plays the part of a overworked concerned mother so well that i cant bare to watch the scene its so intense and so so sad

  • PLL will always be my comfort show but the writers flopped the entire series SO HARD. CeCe Drake and Alex Drake being A, making Ali nice, all the many many plot holes including constantly changing Ali’s missing night story, Aria not being AD and Alison not being A like it goes on lol but i’ll always love PLL anyway 😭

  • Let’s talk about Emily’s parents for a second. Absolutely hated Pam in season 1, at the time I saw it for the first time I was closeted as well and it absolutely terrified me to tell my parents when I started seeing my first girlfriend. Now Wayne, I didn’t like his reaction at first but now that I watch it again in my 20s, he was just really conflicted. He didn’t accept it, which is where my parents are at now, but he tries really hard to understand it right after Emily told him, and honestly, that’s really powerful
