Pele era mas artista, mucho mas creativo, regateaba de distintas formas hacia juegos con la pelota en el aire, amagaba sin tocar la pelota, siempre inventaba jugadas. Maradona era extremadamente habil y preciso pero hacia casi siempre el mismo regate , para mi Maradona tenía mejor control de la bola (puede ser porque los campos eran mejores) pero Pele era mucho mas creativo y variado su juego

When Maradona stepped onto the field with a team such as Napoli, he will magically made his very average teammates believe they are WC champions. Or Serie A champions. In my humble opinion ur reference about the covered distance of a match got nothing to do with their physis. the covered distance compared to today is rather due to the offside rule back then. Striker had to receive the ball in front of a defender unlike today where they can move on the same height as defender. that led to different tactics and playstyles. Back then they played manmarking with sweeper and catenaccio. If all teammates r marked, how u r supposed to make the game faster? of course they ran less than today

Pele was a striker # 9 that was able to play as a 10 because his magnificent. Picking a player from different time that face different opponents’ players it will never be fair for any. The quality of both players is equally good. Just the fact that both players were able to play in different positions and be the best in the alternate position as well means a lot. When Maradona stepped onto the field with a team such as Napoli, he will magically made his very average teammates believe they are WC champions. Or Serie A champions. If there is a stats for "magic spell on teammates", Maradona beats them all. And for that, I can't say Pele is better than Maradona. I don't want to talk about the other 2.

In my humble opinion ur reference about the covered distance of a match got nothing to do with their physis. the covered distance compared to today is rather due to the offside rule back then. Striker had to receive the ball in front of a defender unlike today where they can move on the same height as defender. that led to different tactics and playstyles. Back then they played manmarking with sweeper and catenaccio. If all teammates r marked, how u r supposed to make the game faster? of course they ran less than today
