Electrode holders aka "Welding stingers" can also break and can be rendered unsafe for usage. Luckily, we can create our own version of this necessary welding tool out of scrap metals and still be safe to use. In this video, I created my own custom welding stinger.

Nice simple design. Is the head of that stinger a hot lead when a rod is connected to it and it is touching metal? Will you get shocked if you touch any part of the metal past the handle when welding?
The front-end is too exposed and will create an issue if used on a big project were you building a trailer or something big
