  • I'm not sure if cleetus will ever see this but a couple of river recommendations from a Florida boater. Clean your windows with plexus and then ceramic coat with a kit from Amazon. Keep that water off your windshield. Install a metal D ring in the back and front of the cockpit. Paracord all items to brass clips and clip them on to the D ring. Lastly you can mount aftermarket utv waterproof wipers to the windows might help. Hope to see yall out on the water, I'm running the quintrex outboard race boat. You will NEVER be able to comprehend the dread of returning to the dock with a body while their friend and family look on from the shore. You guys are smarter than this.

If you hit the water at speed you can't breath for a while, if you get knocked out when you hit the water you need the jacket to keep your head up. These guys are looneys. Our club wouldn't let anyone fire up if they didn't have a jacket.

Can't make someone do something but that thing is all metal and yall doing 360s and you just learned how easy those things can tip over. Just takes that one time to get hit in the head and dumped without a vest and you go under. Thats it for you even if they turn around and try and get you they might not be able to find you quick enough. Lucky he didn't hit a tree. Glad everyone is alright tho. Stuff happend for sure and it was no one fault but just rather be safe than srry. Cleet you take safety very seriously at the FF so no different out on the water but keep having fun. Hell ya brother! • I was just going to take Cleet to the woodshed, but you said it all. At the very least, all of you should be wearing beltline floaters to help the body float a little in case someone does get hit in the head. Also, this is not the first time you have had three people, they really need two handles installed on the back deck. Use 12" SS grab bars that are put in tubs and showers. Three mounting holes on each end, strong enough to catch an adult falling.

You've already come close on the steam and now had the potential of drowning. If he was knocked out and sank in that murk before you got to him (especially in that swollen river) he would be dead. You would not have found him and if you were very lucky a dive team would have eventually found his body. PFD on all.

    • They should make some branded Cleetus Marine life jackets, and do some good for boat safety, at the same time as making a few bucks for more jet boat madness

    • Life jackets my ass what about full bodysuits and a couple of AK-47s and grenades for the alligators, them critters what I'd be worried about, PS what about the Giant pythons down there now. Yeah I admit it I'm a 65-year-old coward but that's how I got this old😆

    • You always hear about how good the safety gear was and it was good that they had it, after the fact. It's a great comment and should be pinned👌 You guys influence more people than you'll ever know....please set a positive example guys, but have fun.✌️

    • He had life jackets on board, one even handed and declined so...he COULD be that guy but it's his choice not to force the issue when he doesn't want to ,but nothing wrong with reminding people to boat safely and I commend you guys for that.
