New challenge: the fake rich challenge Have a huge fancy expensive house but start with 1000 simoleons. You have to hire all services (maid, gardener, chef, etc. you don’t need a nanny unless you have children) and you’re not allowed to do anything that will save you money like turning lights off, using generators or water collectors, etc. You’re allowed to sell and find collectibles but you can’t do anything that would be considered “dirty” like digging things up or have any career that isn’t “glamorous” (i dunno how to explain it but basically you cant be like a gardener or a part timer or anything like that) Basically you have to try and survive/build up an actual fortune while maintaining the front that you’ve been rich all along

No I have an idea, I have NEW CHALLENGE too. You already are rich, but you have to spent all to 0 WITHOUT BUILDMODE. you can already have a house when starting. use all those interactions like ordering food, paying for barmans, hiring comedians, having parties, tipping every artist/musician/manual worker/service in restaurant, etc you can. You get it. Can my rich sim get 0$ broke without buying anything in BUILDMODE?

Its much better planting outside, They evolve quicker. What I do is at the end of the season put them into the house inventory and then bring out the ones in season.

Yea, you could win the challenge in no time once you start using those flowers to make expensive arrangements and selling them with the selling table. I once sold an arrangement (marked up) for $35000 with absolutely no cheats whatsoever. I just had to keep my sim inspired

Fun fact about flower arranging: If your sim gives someone a tulip scented bouquet as a gift, they have to stay faithful to your sim for 3 days. I never knew this until super recently
...just do not give an elder something scented with a death flower.

@@bekah13 When a sim gives tulips to a romantic partner, said partner physically won't be able to cheat on the Sim that gave them the flowers. The romance interactions for the partner will be greyed out, and it says something like 'this Sim has been gifted with a faithful bouquet' as the reason for it being greyed out.

The reason your plants keep moving around when you plant them is because you’re planting them too close together, they’re a full tile wide and you’re trying to plant them on every half tile
Yeah but they can grow on the half, and it looks ridiculous having them on the full... plus you run out of room quickly lol 😆 I always move them in buildbuy after my sim plants them
I think sims plants just hate us, I plant them in the middle of a tile and they jump around to a half tile 6 feet away that they have to share with another plant lol

That's a far more realistic way - to sell your flowers, you have to put them up for sale in a retail shop, like a real florist!
I got rich off of flower arranging with one of my families, the wife was a stay at home mom and arranged flowers on the side. the most expensive flower arrangement can sell for like 6k simoleons, you need level 10 in the skill and orchids tho, which took me some time to get. But once you have them, it’s really easy to get rich cause it doesn’t take that long to make the arrangements, my sim could make like 4x6k simoleons per day while also spending time with her kids and cooking and stuff.
How do you get orchids?
@@notwithoutpizza4702 It's one of the things you unlock by grafting, though I can't recall off the top of my head which plants give you orchids. I THINK it's lily and like, snapdragon but I'm not sure.

I used to have a sim who made flower arrangements for all the sims who died and she'd put the arrangements at their graves. Flower arranging was her only source of income
If you start in autumn and participate in the harvestfest you will get lots of seed packs and therefore flowers. So that might be a good strategy because you need seasons for the table.
oooh smart, those seed packets give you rarer flowers too
plus, you can sell those gnomes that are in your household lol

Can Stanley get rich only from beachcombing? Can you get rich hosting goaled events(parties, dates, wedding, etc)? Can you get rich from roommates? Can you get rich from the research and debate skill(debates, writing research papers, contributing knowledge, etc)? Can you get rich from robotics? Can you get rich from fishing?
You can definitely make serious money from research and debate, it takes a long time to write a paper though.
events might actually work some of the gold level rewards are very valuable. like the gold level toddler play date gets you the all inclusive jungle gym that costs 5K simoleons roommates i have several times suggested the slumlord millionaire challenge. fishing you have the chance to catch the 15K violin.
You can make so much money off of fishing. You yank some plants off your local garden and fish and you'll have a shit ton of money in no time.
Beachcombing is a definite yes and pretty quickly too. I once tried a rags to riches on a tiny island lot in Sulani, and yep, my character made most of her money from beachcombing. (Also I randomly fished up a camera (?) so I threw in some photography too. And Sulani DEFINITELY has good stuff to photograph.)

If you want a lot with lots of free plant resources just around, move to that empty lot on the island in Windenburg. I did this just because I liked the location and it turns out, THERE ARE PLANTS EVERYWHERE. Snapdragons, bluebells, blackberries, strawberries, mushrooms...also a fishing spot and a free bonfire to warm up at. Good stuff!

She didn't scent them or anything. If you scent the masterpiece arrangements with bluebells, they last forever and you can sell them on Plopsy. I made $26k on one orchid arrangement that way.

Pro tip for better seeds: you can get seasonal seed packets via the phone under the "purchase gift" tab. Also if you wanna get a bit more cheat-y you can make a holiday with holiday gnomes, they'll give some good seeds too!

I didn't know that putting a roof over the plants would allow them to grow all year! Thanks for that! I just got Seasons a few weeks ago and that is the only thing I hated about it. I always make my Sims get rich with their garden and now they can again.
Yeah I assume the intention is for your sim to have an actual greenhouse but a lot of people just put a random roof over them so they’ll always grow😂😂

If you make a holiday with gnomes or the flower bunny, they will give you some useful plants for this challenge. The gnomes are especially good. If you make them all happy, you get so many seasonal plant packets.
The next one is like a second part to this should be getting rich off the bees using the flower arranging skill to make the bluebell arrangements to make the bees happier and get rich of them selling the wax

One of my rags to riches saves was with flower arranging. She started in willow creek, so there's tons of bluebells and snapdragons. And then she would sell them at the flea market for 300% upsell
Not only does talking to your plants improve your social need, it also improve your gardening skill. Get a bee hive as they help evolving your plants. Get Patchy and he'll help you in taking care of your garden, and give you gardening tips.

You should do one by selling the autographs you get from celebrities.
That area of Oasis Spring may be the best place to find collectibles like frogs, crystals and metals. Also, several plants, including some flowers. You don't need legumes and fruits for the cash, but you can eat them. That way, you can save some cash.
The "Dazed" moodlets were from that "Juiced Community" NAP - Stanley's buddy was drunk XD Also, when a Sim has maxed flower arranging (and you use bluebells to keep the bouquets fresh), you can get THOUSANDS for each arrangement.

The flower arranging skill is definitely something you can get rich off in the long run. Once you have a bunch of flowers and a high skill the arrangements can be worth a couple thousand simoleons. Also, a better neigborhood to go to for flowers is where the Goth family lives. There's a community garden there with a bunch of flowers
I once had a sim who was in uni and had a toddler and they lived in a tiny house- all her income came from flower arranging, and they were doing pretty good, so I think it is safe to say that you can even provide for a family with this 😳

how rich can you get from marrying and divorcing-
Flower arranging is unironically one of the most broken ways to make money in the sims 4. Using the arrangements you make combined with the selling table in city living (which can mark up items sold up to 300%) has made my sims upwards of 100k simoleons for a days work, it’s insane.
It actually makes tons of money. Don't bother growing the flowers. Get high enough skill to make the pink orchid bouquet and sell them on the yard sale table for 300% markup. They usually go from $22k-$26k a pop.
All I have to say is Stanley has to be one of the mascots of this channel

Honestly, I really like gardening and flower arranging in legacy challenges because it gives you so long to get an amazing garden, then whenever a sim picks up flower arranging next, you already have the perfect high quality flowers to use.

When you have level 10 of flower arranging it's so much money for some of the Flowers. My sim got rich fast it was insane 😂
If you click on the fertilizer and 'use the same one' a bunch, it doesn't actually fertilize everything after the first, but it still removes the ability for some time.
Excuse me?! Breeding frogs?! I missed that gameplay for... Over 5 years?! Also, since the gardening patch that came out with seasons, plants will only poduce flowers/fruits/veggies at 6AM no matter when they where planted in the day. Grafted plants now have a chance of producing rarer plants. 1 in 100 for uncommons and 1 in 600 for rare which mean that if not sheltered you aren't even garantied to get a rare plant in one season.
Next time with stanley: Today stanley will be only making money with pumpkin carving

There are much better ways to start this - buy a tent/camp bed so you can stay in a lot and wait for lilies, roses and tulips to flower. Harvest them, but keep some lilies back to use as fertiliser, and then when you can do it, splice the snapdragons and lilies to make orchids...
one of my favorite get rich quick is the handiness skill and woodworking table, when you get enough skill to craft the bath tube you can get some good money selling them, also if you want to spend the money, you can buy a rose and possibly others on phone/computer
