U.S. President Donald Trump said he had "a great day" playing golf and attending a sumo tournament with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe on Sunday, May 26.
Before the leaders and their wives sat down for dinner at a hibachi restaurant, Trump told reporters that he always wanted to see sumo wrestling and that it was an "incredible evening".
Trump also said he hopes the "President's Cup" that he presented to the tournament's winner will be around "for many hundreds of years".
Abe said he believes the presentation was an "unforgettable moment" for the champion wrestler.
Trump also said the leaders had a productive day discussing trade, the military and other topics during their time together.

    • Yes but, such division and hate has spread in usa. So much so, civil war, or at least armed localised rebellions. Just depends how well authorities deal with it. But it pretty disgraceful the behaviour of some of these politicians. Everyone knows who we are talking about. Wait! Is anyone even going to read this? Should I warn the authorities. Will this be relevant? Or have new and different meaning after things boil over. Or don't. And arrests are made. I'm not even sure anything is real anymore with everything in the last 2 and half years. Its all very strange and unbelievable.

I lost my father when I was very young (an accident and only knew it when he had gone) and it was just like a nightmare to me and so unreal. I totally understand the family’s feeling and immerse sorrow! My deepest condolences goes to Mrs. Abe, Mr. Abe’s mother and Japanese people. Mr. Abe will be dearly missed by people around the world.
