You have to see ‘Challengers’ twice to realize Zendaya isn’t the only one who “ain’t s**t.” Stay tuned for more with Zendaya, Josh O’Connor and Mike Faist. #Zendaya #Challengers #interview #JoshOConnor #MikeFaist @Tyrone Edwards
Mike knowing damn well she's right with that "keep it that way" hahah
Mike says ‘keep it that way’.
@@hoover728I think Maryh is saying that Z is agreeing with Mike is saying
The way he says it that smug look 😂
Yea bc he knows he plays the bad guy, really they were all unlikeable but it was probably on purpose
@@hoover728 that's what I wrote...? 😂
I love the way they're like wait a minute😂❤❤❤❤
All three of them weren’t sh*t. Tashi was upfront with hers, Art was low key with his and the other guy just needed a shower and then some
I’m HOWLIN
Lmaoo he a scrub fr but yea I don’t think any of em were meant to be likeable, they were all toxic. Everyone thinking tashi or Patrick the villain when it’s actually art, for snitching on his own friend just to instigate and take tashi for himself. He sneaky and tashi even called him a shitty friend
@@Itsezyyyy__ I was like, what did he just do? But then again, if he had won that night, that would’ve been him 🤣
@@madgemackles4337 yea he probably just felt inferior to Patrick who’s overconfident and better at tennis which Tashi knew, so he stole his life from him and bc he was there for her she married him but she never loved him, just tennis
@@Itsezyyyy__ but idk, during the end, it seemed as if it was Art who was the stronger player but for some reason he made himself feel inferior to Patrick Smh Good watch though
For Tashi the only thing that really mattered was TENNIS.
Exactly me and my girls went to see it and we were like, she only loved tennis.
COME ON!!!!!! But for real, when Art and Patrick play their last game it just shows they were perfect for each other, and the tennis they would create was what Tashi wanted to see all along
And control!
Exactly. But she couldn’t have that so she settled for art instead who sucks at tennis and only wants to be as good as his former best friend. Meanwhile he’s living Patrick’s life and career while not being as skilled or passionate and Tashi knew Patrick was better than him at it so she asked him to purposely lose for art, who worships her and knows he has nothing else if he loses her so he gets over himself and forgives Patrick
The ending finally makes sense now. Art always wanted to dominate Patrick but he couldn’t. The best he could do was become his friend.
I like your insight on that. May go for a second watch.
Yea I was trying to understand the ending
Can so.eone explain the ending please
@@xarianna5424 Maybe there's an interview with the director to clear things up for sure 🤷🏿♀️
@@xarianna5424 Art realized that Pat was on purpose to lose to him because Tashi asked him to do so. He gave Art the code with the ball that he put in the center of his racket; it was the same code when Art asked Pat to lose for him so he could date Tashi when they were young. Art was mad, but at the same time, he relieves himself because Tashi never meant to leave him; he knows that she always loves him no matter what. Tashi just hates that Art always feels insecure, anxious, and lacks confidence towards Pat. Art is also relieved that Pat has always supported him and protect him like his own brother. They ended up as a throuple.
I don’t really think there was a villain. They all did grimy stuff to each other.
Art
her hairrrr 😫😍
I love it too she’s so pretty 😍💕
She never can be "normal" she oozes excellence 😂

It's cute how the guys called Zendaya's Z for short.
Tom over here like: 😂😂😂😂😠
Her hair looks phenomenal in this😍😍😍😍😍
You see the promo “watch it AGAIN” you better come on Z 😎
I don’t think art is the villain and I don’t think Tashi and Patrick would have lasted regardless. Tashi only loves tennis and resents them both for the career she could’ve had
Watch it again, they’re so right lol 👀
yessss
They actually love each other 😂
I thought Patrick loved Art more than he loved Tashi. But Art loved Tashi, which drove Patrick to want Tashi. Complicated and evil thing, but if you couldn’t get the person, you’d try to get the other person who he/she loves. Tashi just loved tennis, it’s her life, she loved the attention from both boys. They 3 meant for each other, bound by tennis.
I agree with everything except patrick only wanting Tashi because Art wanted her..because remember in the beginning it was Patrick who wanted to go to the party to pursue Tashi he always loved her..
@@Badkidbytaylorthis. He was way more obvious with his infatuation for Tashi in the beginning too
let me find out art is the real villain of the movie🫢
All of them are messy and pull shit in this movie. Its life. But sure, Art pulls some strings that turn a series of events into what they are in the movie
Nah..Zendaya's character is high level disrespectful yo. What she did while wearing Art's grandmother's ring in Atlanta is straight savagery. Then in the parking lot before the match.
what in the theater kid is going on here😭
@@NICEisNICEshe was doing it to make him a better tennis player!! He would be nothing without her and he should be grateful 🙏
@@aaaustinnndid she really? Did she like him the whole time and just wanted to see him be a winner or do you think she was offloading her premature retirement on to art? I just can’t figure out why she’s so messy and keeps going back and forth with them. It is because she only cares about winning? I remember her saying something along the lines of it being embarrassing to be with a partner that is a loser or can’t win matches. I take away from that because she was hot stuff when she played.
She's such a doll❤

I just don’t really see Art as a master manipulator that people keep trying to claim he is. When he tried to pit the two against each other , Tashi might have been waivered but Patrick saw right through it . Maybe there was something else that I have to catch on a second viewing
i feel the same. he did help in breaking pat and taschi up, but taschi and pat cheated down the line anyway. when they were fully grown adults as opposed to being college students. i can only see art as a man that did what his wife wanted - play and succeed in tennis. unless his recent failures were deliberate? maybe thats what people are referring to, but is there any evidence of that?
He got into Tashi's head, and I think he got into Patrick's head too even if they both 'saw right through it' because the general doubt art planted was still the catalyst for their argument. And also Tashi was in her head during the match because of the argument (I also noticed she kept looking around for Patrick before the match started), which lead to her injury. However, I don't think Patrick and Tashi would've lasted anyways. Also, Art conveniently came running to Tashi's side when she got hurt and screamed at his best friend of years to leave them in order to get on Tashi's good side, when he could've just told patrick the situation/that she needed space before he could apologize to her. A good friend would've done something akin to the latter, not yell at him to leave so he can slither in on Tashi while she's vulnerable.
Uh uh! I saw it the first time around! 👀 Art is the homewrecker!! Haha
Yeah, art was jealous Patrick and took his girl. But he did it legally so he was seen as the hero. Sounds familiar…
Nope. Zendaya was
How? I feel like Art genuinely liked Tashi but Tashi was more into Patrick but Patrick didn’t really take Tashi seriously he just wanted to smash her and also even though I think Tashi was more into Patrick she didn’t really care about anything else but Tennis
Ethan not getting the shade is insane
Well Art was the villain in the beginning but they were the villain at the end
For some reason I just loved this very short excerpt of the interview 😂😂😂 Can't explain why it's weirdly refreshing to see the chemistry between them 3💖✨
It took me a sec to truly get it at the end... I WAS like 'wait a minute...🧐.' I will go see it again!
But what changes?. I don't understand
Me neither. I don't get it
@@aliciarodriguez6611 Art is a seemingly docile and shy character but you could argue he is manipulating and calculating. He's real self could be the Art we see in the sauna, anything else is him playing a role to get what he wants. From the beginning he manipulating Patrick into losing their next game so that 'his grandma' would be proud. But he might have just said that because it's his only way of winning. He is very closed off and doesn't really show his real feelings. That's one way of seeing it
@@miurtouissi1093 in this case i cant see any of the main trio not being villains. they are all deeply deeply flawed and prioritise their own aspirations
@@nenewini yeah but the thing that would make tashi and Patrick less wrong was that they were always genuine and open about their short comings. Art in this scenario is sneaky and manipulating. This is a type of cruelty that takes you by surprise if you ever realize it.
I've seen it 3 times lol, I'm not ashamed of it at all
You go...guy!
Now I gotta go see it again! Damn! 😂
I just watched it 1st time now and I loved the ending! The 3 of them all rekindled the most important thing to them. The thing they are most passionate about. The 2 boys with each other in tennis, and Tashi with tennis. I got chills when Tashi screamed "oh come on!" again at the end. Passion!
I just saw it and I’m not gonna lie, I walked out feeling the way they’re talking about the second viewing straight away.
This brows 🔥
i find it interesting when ppl say tashi is the main antagonist when if you watched the film closely art is worse because he know tashi cared about patrick more than him but he was so obsessed with her jealous of his friend that he sabotoged the relationship but because he acts like a sad puppy its hard to feel bad for him but he manipulated his friend patrick to end his relationship with tashi and then tashi gets so upset she breaks her leg and then who comes running to help her? art. theyre all terrible but each have their own reasons.
I’d have to watched the movie again, but it seemed like Tashi was so into art? She constantly had her eyes on him and seemed to veer away from Patrick. Was she only drawn to Art because he manipulated the circumstances?
@@superultragiggachigga I would say she was drawn to both art and patrick for different reasons but there was more chemistry with patrick but patrick was too similar to tashi. i get why zendaya kept saying for ppl to watch the film again because a lot of ppl have trouble reading nonverbal language. theres so much that is sad but not said literally in this film. i personally think if art didnt tell patrick that tashi wasnt serious then he wouldnt have been so bothered by tashi telling him that she only cares about tennis and them having that argument in her dorm room. but i doi think patrick wouldnt have been a good partner to tashi because he is too much like her. art has his issues but he has a warmth that they bot lack which makes him the more likeable character but he manipultes just as much as them. theyre all villians. tashi had more chemistry with patrick but art made her feel safe and that is very important in a marriage. tashi knew patrick would not be that for her hence why he was always single. that scene where he is on a date with that girl and then sees tashi in the hotel lobby is very telling. it was funny that argument tashi and patrick had in the car explains why theyre not together. patcrick doesnt want to be tied downand tashi hates that she still cares about him but is still willing to try to manipulate him to helpart but hes not that easy to control. All of these characters a bit mentally unstable to still be in this love triangle. Art is crazy to want to still be in a marriage with someone who would leave him over tennis and tashi is crazy to be willing to build a family with someone would leave in a second and thats something that can be said about the world of sports. idk if its all the adrenaline and the thirst for that high but these athletes act very bizarre which is why you shouldnt relate to any of these characters because theres something off aboit all of them and thats something luca is really good at. Creating these alluring but unstable characters with like one or two redeamable qualities😂
@@Dreamergirl-lx5zb I loved your review , just got out of the cinema and was trying to make sense of the ending
@@Dreamergirl-lx5zb thank you so much for breaking this down! I agree that all these characters are very off. I kept going between who I thought was the lesser of evils, but ultimately there isn’t one. IMO, it seems like art is the only one who genuinely wants love. Tashi likes the idea of love and family but also seems to like the lifestyle that Patrick leads, hence the chemistry you mentioned. Although I don’t get Tashi. She seems to only care about winning and like you said, liked both Art and Patrick for different reasons, however she only seemed to care about who was winning. I keep replaying the scene, I think it was in the dorm, where she said she didn’t want to be with someone who was a loser of a player. She reiterated how that would look for her image. Art was the better player and became a star, whereas Patrick became washed player still trying to get his break.
@@unassailable6138 thank you the film was very fascinating to say the least
Tashi was in love with Tennis, Art and Patrick were in love with each other and Tashi

they're all complicated, real human beings in love - wholesome characteristics and shitty characteristics - like many of us! all of the intensity is ramped up - i don't know if i can blame their characters for how they behaved because it's all possible!
At the end of the movie I had the feeling that Arts playing style and character we're finally complete
It’s always going to be your own people 🫢🫣😜😂😂
Patrick & Tashi were robbed. They were meant to be together, they would've been such a power couple. I need an alternative script 😭
It’s gonna be part 2.
Yess we need part 2😢
Idk why but I don’t see any of them together. I feel like Patrick started out nice as a teen but slowly became a terrible person. When he first met Tashi it seemed all he wanted was her objectively. He did say that she was turning him into a more honest man so idk. I just don’t think it would have worked because Tashi seemed to want to control him. Patrick stands on his own. But who knows! Maybe things would have changed if Art didn’t force him to leave Tashi alone.
They were not robbed. Everything changed when Patrick told her he wasn't her groupie but her peer. Right there she knew she wasn't going to be able to manipulate him like she could with Patrick.
I agree! I wanted to see more of their relationship onscreen.
This hairrrr on her !!! Yessss

From the college days you already KNEW! I can’t lie though I thought Patrick was already loosing because he was just straightforward😂 but shiiiii the movie set me straight.

The ringing meaning is still very vauge and up to ones own interpretation. Just last night i had annoying ringing while trying to sleep, then i was woken up by a burning smell. I kept wondering if something in the kitchen was on. But i knew everything was off. I tried going back to sleep. But my ears kept ringing. Finally, my bedroom door nudged enough to make a noise. I said "alright youre trying to tell me something". I got up and checked the house and my front door waa unlocked. I locked the door, "so thats what you wanted me to do".

I think Tashi wasn't shit. She was a home wrecker to two best friends, didn't seem like she really felt for Art what Art felt for her, then was married to Art, had a kid with him and still cheated on him. I hope that after the ending when Art and Patrick made up Art dumped her ass.

On the biblically accurate angel thing, it's really only in Ezekiel and Revelation where certain types of angels are described as being freaky, multi-eyed, multi-winged, etc. In many passages it's clear that they just looked like ordinary guys. For example, the three "men" who visited Abraham (one of whom was probably actually God himself) and two of whom go down to Sodom where the people there think they are men and want to rape them, the man/men (depending on which Gospel you're reading) the women visiting Jesus' tomb meet, when the three Hebrews are in the furnace and the Babylonians see four men, and I'm sure there are other examples. The Bible isn't univocal so it's not consistent with its descriptions of angels, but for the most part they were probably inagined as looking like men when they appeared to humans. God himself is very often described in anthropomorphic terms and in some passages (because the Bible isn't univocal) people actually talk to him and see him. So the depiction in this drama isn't inaccurate to what was likely intended by the writers of the Gospels per se, but it is crap, uninspiring, and boring af. 🙃😂
They had to be polyandrous, bc she only loved tennis, her husband loved her, and his best friend loved tennis. But, both of the dudes also loved her and each other. There were so many hints in the movie confirming that.
Lol they were all bad but he was the least 😂

I can't understand a thing here😂. What're they saying and laughing about?

Spoiler! Bruh, after first viewing I could tell you Art ain’t shit. Tashi told the boys exactly who she was and what she wanted and didn’t manipulate them to stick around, they just did anything to be around her. And Patrick at a certain point knew she wasn’t for him. She even opted out because she didn’t want to be a “home-wrecker” but the boys insisted. Then Art literally went behind his best friend’s back and sabotaged their relationship and manipulated Tashi into getting with him. Art is the real villain. Tashi is just assertive and goal driven, but she’s consistent throughout the whole film. Patrick is an asshole, but he was also consistent throughout. Watch out for the quiet, “nice guys” I guess. I loved it! I’d watch again.
They're all villains. They were all grimy. None of them were shit.
