One of the punishments he had to go through was with another soldier who he had been with breaking the rules . They had walk through a gauntlet of their platoon either side and they were allowed to hit him and his friend as hard as they wanted to by the officer. Remember that, although they are impressive individuals who have achieved something in their lives that very few can, they are also falible, inperfect and even damaged human beings to like the rest of us. When they become celebrities, it does not mean they should be idolized or seen as gurus and life coaches. Many service leavers, including SF, encounter failure, lose their way, don't find their true calling, and even die by suicide. Just becuase Mr Fox, Mr Middleton et all, are now well known, it does not mean they should be regarded im a different manner. They are doing well for themselves and that is great, but life could and does go the other way too. Now mate, you go out there and make what you can out of yourself and capitalize on your youth becuase as a man who is 50 and served for 20 years in the military, I can tell you that life is short and also quite fucking hard, so make the most of it! You don't need a former member of UKSF or anyone else to tell you that. Remeber, too, that this TV show is just entertainment at the end of the day. You take care mate. Garry H. South Carlolina, USA. • Stanley13 in all fairness, ant used to be in the SAS so I reckon he definitely is a pretty tough bloke, and he still is in active duty or something so he would be called in if sudden numbers of troops were needed. And he’s not there to be liked, he’s not supposed to be a nice guy even though he has shown he can be.
